MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 brings the Intention of Stability. The 4 Directions are our Foundation and means of Orientation. 4 represents the cube, the most stable of forms.
Monkey/CHUEN is the Day Sign of a Creator, known as the Weaver of Time. CHUEN shows the way to navigate Life’s Journey through the Unknown. We’re guided to find our Stability following the ways off the Monkey.
Monkey/CHUEN is the Master of all Art who weaves the Tapestry of our Life. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the head of the Monkey. The fabric of our life is an illustration of Experience over Time. Monkey imagines every thread completed as a thing of Beauty. Only over time can we see how all our Experiences are woven together.
Monkey sees life as an interesting curiosity. Without judgement, it discerns every detail. Monkey is gifted with Intellect and Imagination. Monkey is a mystical creator that sees the Magic in our Dance of Life.
Monkey/CHUEN shows us how to accomplish Stability through its artful way of moving around obstacles. As the Elders say, “There are many ways to accomplish the same thing.” Monkey explores them all. Monkey approaches life with objectivity and an inquiring mind. “Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions.”
We are Being Made New. Old patterns and ways of doing things are up for innovation. The Star/LAMAT trecena holds the potential for a change that is Multiplied to Abundance. We are preparing a new path forward.
This is the trecena of our Highest Ascension. We are free to explore the experience when we don’t take ourselves so seriously. Our own Happiness will Discern the Course to our Dream. With Monkey, anything can happen.
We don’t have to be perfect or know all the answers. Life can be an adventure. Monkey operates from a sense of curiosity void of judgement. Monkey plays with stuff just to see what happens. There’s no expectation of an outcome. Life is simply a research project of unlimited opportunities. “Not knowing” is an opportunity to learn something new. The “Unknown” is the place of the “Magic of Innovation.” From the Unknown, Monkey can imagine what has never been created before.
Monkey reminds us to Embrace the Unknown and not take ourselves so seriously. The Cherokee Raccoon is seen as the friendly trickster that helps us see the humor in our self. A new self-awareness may seem so simple, it’s funny.
To all my relations, may we not take ourselves so seriously. May we find our Stability by Remembering to Dream our Dream. May we look upon the Time of our Life and imagine days of even greater Beauty before us. May we inspect things up close and then follow our Intuition. May we celebrate the moments we Remember and Acknowledge how our Conscious Thoughts are happening more frequently. We are on a journey to 13 Sun/AHAU. We are nearing a Higher Vibration that will draw us to a new Transformation. All the pieces are still up in the air. May we imagine them falling into place as a Miracle.

4 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoon is full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy. Magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you.
