MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
The next 13 days…
We begin again under the guidance of Wisdom/CIB, the Day Sign that connects us to the Old Ones, the Wisdom Keepers who Ascended by living by the Strength of their Convictions. They share the Collective Wisdom of the Human Experience.
The AKBAL trecena raised our Consciousness to our Deepest Dreams for Harmony and Equity. We passed through the darkness of our unconscious fears that such a High Aspiration was out of our reach. Facing the fear of impossibility, AKBAL trained our eyes on a Light that shines ahead, a Hope that would always be answered by a Promise of Divine Justice.
We were given the courage to willingly walk through the darkness, by keeping our eyes trained on the Light in our Future. We found our Light by turning away from the gravity of the world that holds us down. We were guided to see the future as the Creator Dreamed it to be.
“When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” The Wisdom/CIB trecena will connect us to the Wisdom of the Ancestors, and the Wisdom we can draw from our own Experience.
PORTAL DAYS: Element of Ether – The Wisdom/CIB trecena includes 2 Portal Days that will thin the veil to other dimensions. These are days when we are capable to Experience our Spiritual Gifts and Feel the Truth of our Connection to the Ancestors. A Portal on 2 Earth/CABAN will help to clarify a new Intention. And, on 8 Night/AKBAL, our Discernment of Spirit will be magnified by the Peak Energy of Divine Justice.
10th and 11th UINAL: 5 Sun/AHAU completes a 20-day cycle of Manifestation, the Intention of the 10th uinal. The Intention of the 11th uinal, like Tone 11, is a Gift of Higher Discernment that expands our Consciousness with a greater Clarity of our own Meaning and Purpose. The CIB trecena will help us Resolve the New Way forward by Wisdom drawn from the past.
PEAK DAYS/PEAK EXPERIENCES:
- 6 Crocodile/IMIX – Our primordial Mother will guide a Way of Movement that draws upon our imagination to inspire a new and innovative approach to life.
- 7 Wind/IK – We find our Balance through a reflection on Breath of Life and Spirit.
- 8 Night/AKBAL – Divine Agency offers a Gift of Divine Justice that offers a Transformation of Spirit
- 9 Seed/KAN – An effort of Patience expands our Perspective so we are able to see Higher Truth about the Spark of Creation within.
We have something more at stake after AKBAL shared the Faith that our Deepest Dreams can come true. We were inspired to “sit up and listen” by renewed hope in a Dream we thought was impossible. The Dream we discovered is even worthy enough to heed the advice of our Elders.
The Maya observe the Wisdom/CIB trecena as a time to ask for Forgiveness by the Ancient Ones. There is power in following the same footsteps that were left before. The inheritance of wisdom the Elders preserved for us, are the proven and worthy tools we can follow. The traditional ways offer us a Demonstration of Consciousness, while allowing us the personal freedom to Express it in our own way.
AKBAL was a trecena of “Light,” a cycle of Incoming Inspiration. As Creatures of Duality, Human comprehension is a binary process. Just like a computer, we receive new data that is then interpreted by an application. As a trecena of the “Dark,” we take the Inspiration of AKBAL and complete our understanding through an Application. CIB holds the Masters Class on discerning for our Self the Wise thing to do.
The Wisdom/CIB trecena is a time to Honor the Old Ones and come in Humility and Respect as the student prepared to Listen. CIB shares the fundamental lessons of thinking for our Self to draw the Wisdom of our own Experience. CIB represents all Human Wisdom and our ability to access it in our Highest State of Consciousness.
Forgiveness is the Key that unlocks the door to the greatest of all archeological treasures. We are capable to see clearly when our vision isn’t clouded by the resentments of our Ego. We can expect injustice to be part of our experience in relationships with other Humans who suffer just as we do. Starting out with an Intention to Forgive, we will be able to stand in the Integrity of Unconditional Love.
Like the Ancient Mystery Schools, Wisdom/CIB is likely to leave us with more questions than answers. The CIB trecena intends to teach us to think for our Self.
Tone 1 is the beginning of a new wave for transformation energy. This is the day of our lowest energy. Tone 1 is often a day that we fall short of the progress we intend to make. The day is better suited to planning and organization that production. Tone 1 is always a day to be Conscious of our thoughts and ideas.
On Tone 1 we exist in Unity with the Creator. Through a Divine Inspiration the Creator shares a Dream of Creation.
The Cherokee Owl symbolizes the “mystic ferryman that holds a torch aloft to our return passage to the stars.” The “wise old owl” helps us see in the Darkness of our Unknown. The Owl lights the path that was left for us to follow.
CIB will guide us to seek our own discernment of Truth and make decisions based on the Wise thing to do. Without forgiveness we blame the “other” and fail to see the Truth of our Self.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean acceptance. It doesn’t interfere with the choices we need to make for our Self. Forgiveness is an Offering of Grace that doesn’t define the Identity of another by their worst moment.
Wisdom/CIB holds the Wisdom that can help us heal our relationships and maintain a perspective of Tolerance and Understanding.
Before I started my journal, I easily fell prey to the plans and schemes of others – a victim. I remember wondering if I was just too trusting for my own good. After 4 rounds I know that thinking the best of others was never the issue. The problem was my own lack of discernment. I allowed others to define the truth. With red flags waving and sirens going off, I never acknowledged my own truth. I made emotional choices instead of Wise choices.
I learned that we were all given the Sacred Right of Choice. It doesn’t even matter if our Truth is right or wrong. It’s just as it is meant to be on our own path to higher understanding. Today, if I am encouraged to do something that doesn’t feel right, I can just say, “No thanks.” (It’s amazing how my life was changed by just claiming my right to say “No.” I had to start with “Let me think about it.”)
To all my relations, may we remember the Grandfathers and Grandmothers in our prayers. May we remember their struggle to survive and to create a better life for the generations that would follow. May we ask forgiveness for overlooking the wisdom they offered us in an Intention of Love. May we give thanks for their patience and willing to come to our aide when we call. May we greet each day with an open mind. May our morning prayer be, “Grandfathers, Grandmothers, and Great Spirit, what would you have me Know today?”

THE TRECENA OF WISDOM/CIB
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide for daily aspects and events of the Wisdom/CIB trecena.
1 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ O’JJ)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. One is the beginning of all things, the first, the whole and the all in one. One’s are assertive and self-guided and give a good push to whatever project they are associated with. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect One-persons to be attentive to details or to put the finishing touches on things.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign, enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons. (A good day to sit on a rock.)
Cherokee, Owl/U’GUKU’ O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.

UPDATE ON A LIFE DREAM:
On 4 Sun/AHAU I was able to make the reservations for the trip to celebrate Ian Lungold’s Mayan birthday, 12 Sun/AHAU, on the observance of the Day of the Dead. It felt important to the information I would share in my book. I’m grateful to be part of such a flow of Love, more necessary that money, for the realization of my dream. You are already the blessing of just being here. (But you could help me spread the word.) much love, in lak’ech, Debra https://www.gofundme.com/life-dream-a-pilgrimage-of-spirit
