MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Tone 13 is the Day of Ascension. 13 is the number of theurgy, the Power through Ritual and Ceremony to call on a Divine Intervention in Human affairs. 13 symbolizes the 7th day of (6 nights and 7 days) Creation. Ascension is an Answered Prayer, a Force of Divine Intervention.
On Tone 13 we realize a new summit. Our 20/20 hindsight, was the New Truth that a Divine Creator planted in our Consciousness. We can see how the Truth will change our life in the future.
We were planted alone in the womb of the Primordial Mother. Her heartbeat was all we knew. IMIX shared the Creator’s wild ideas and our Consciousness was awakened with the Questions of a New Seed. Who Am I?
IMIX guided us to a Truth that we are a Star, like the Sun – the Firstborn of a Supreme Creator of Unconditional Love. We were born To Be in a Divine Relationship. We are a Child of Light, a Human Personification of the Creator, meant to bring the Light Above to the Darkness Below.
Reed/BEN is the Guiding Light of Family and Home. The glyph illustrates an altar with two channels of Light shining from Above and two thatched rugs Below, where Human Consciousness and Spirit’s Consciousness would kneel together in the Holy Light.
Number 1313: 13 Reed/BEN illustrates the Master Number 1313 in Position 13 and Tone 13. 13 is the number of the Ascended Masters, the Supernatural, and Divine Intervention. “Number 1313 represents expansion on all levels, including optimism, enthusiasm, communication, and creativity. 1313 indicates that the Ascended Masters are working with you on your thought processes to enable you to make the highest and wisest choices. Be prepared to expand and develop your personal spirituality in new and exciting ways and look for opportunities to creatively express yourself from the heart. Use your natural interests, talents and personality to bring joy and upliftment to others.” [Sacred Scribes]
Each of the Day Signs, or nahauls/nawals, is an Essence/Expression of Conscious Thought. I thought that only animals were nahauls, like totems. Each Day Sign is a nahaul, an energetic body of thoughts unto itself. We are in a Divine Communion with the Creator through each of the Day Signs that illustrates an Essence of the One Divine Consciousness of the All-In-One.
Popol Vuh, Translation and Commentary by Allen J. Christenson; Pg. 60
“The 70Nawal also has no English equivalent. In Quiché theology, all things, both living and inanimate, have a spirit essence which they call nawal. This spirit essence is believed to give them power to act or communicate on a supernatural plane, for example, to transform their usual form into that of a powerful animal or force of nature. Although nawal is borrowed from the Nahua language, where it means “to transform” (Campbell 1983, 84), the Quiché interpretation of the word is derived from the root na’, meaning “to feel” or “to know.” Thus the creation took place by means of the power of the gods’ spirit essence or divine knowledge rather than by physical action.”
Reed is a channel of Divine Communion between Human and the Creator. Humility opens the channel. The Elders say we must be the “hollow bone” with the flesh removed. To Know the Divine Discernment of the Creator’s Light we leave our Ego behind and Kneel to the One Light of the Holy, Holy, Holy.
Reed/BEN is the Essence of the head of the family, with particular interest in the well-being of the children. Reed/BEN is a “Good Example” for the children. Reed knows children won’t believe what we say, if it’s not what we do. Reed/BEN generates very High Expectations of Self, with the guidance to remember to lead the family with a “garden hose” versus a “steel pipe.” A Reed Bends to the Divinity of the Whole and Upholds the Sacred Right of Choice. If children see us go to an altar, they will choose to follow.
Reed/BEN is a day to offer a Blessing on the Home. Through our Rituals and Prayers, we are guided to ask for Divine Provision and Blessings upon family and community. Reed is observed by the Maya as a day to check in on the neighbors to lend a helping hand. “Family” means it doesn’t have to be a social visit. “Family” can get a lot done in 15 minutes and be on their way. The small thing we do for one another share the Blessing of Belonging. And, it’s a good example for the children.
Reed/BEN resides in the East, the direction of the Sunrise and a New Beginning. We Awaken to how Beautiful Life will be as One in a Divine Family. Reed/BEN teaches a lesson we’ll never forget… the Way “Home.” Love will always be Waiting at an Altar within.
Reed is not a parental authority, but the one in charge of a Divine Personification of Light. Human’s are Designed to be Attracted to the Light. When children see an example, they can find their Own Way Home. To walk as a Divine Example, 13 Reed holds Faith in the Creator’s Promise to answer its own prayers for the Whole.
IMIX is the Creator’s Offering to the New Seed. We Received the Truth for a Divine Discernment of the Time and Place where we always belong. We See for the first time, again, that we are One with the Mother’s Heart, and One with the Genius of the Creator’s Mind.
Our last Divine Thought in the Hour we go to sleep is Believing we Lived to see another Day. We hold the Understanding for another chance tomorrow. We finally let go of Today and Believe that Love will see us to the Morning’s Light.
To all my relations, may we Bless our Heart and Home and those who we Love like Family. Given the Inspiration of Belonging, may we see what a Blessing “Belonging” is to all who know the experience. May we count the Blessing of Gratitude for the Unconditional Love we are always given and the Promise of Answered Prayers. May our Sacred Exchange be an Offering of Light, like the Light that Awakened us with a Meaning and Purpose To Be.
May we simply treat people like “family.” May we see that Light already shines invisibly from hearts awakened around us. Most humans will exchange a smile or hold open a door. May we tolerate silly Human ways and appreciate the Divine Ways we have in Common… no matter how small the Expression of Love may be. May we see it as the Creator’s Light that is shining through.
We are Light, Only Light, and Eternally One in a Family of Light – each Bearing Time to Know the Place where they Belong Forever.
in lak’ech, i am another you

PS – If someone shows up as a favor and then complains about it? That’s Family too. They just showed up with a side of monkey business. (You MUST have a Sense of Humor with a Human Family. It’s a Blessing to the Home!)

13 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.
Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
