THE TRECENA OF CROCODILE/IMIX: Beginning a New Harvest of Creation
I’m drawn to share an interview with the Elder who was a teacher of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of Universal Shamanism. don Oscar Miro-Quesada has drawn together a shamanic practice from the Andean traditions, with Consciousness of many indigenous paths that offer Divine Archetypes through which to imagine another perspective and Divine Point of View. He explains about the realm of Spirit that is constructed over Time, through relationship with all things of Mother Earth and to realize our Divine Identity and the Reality that is created from Divine Vision.
I didn’t choose this path of organized community that took hours a way from a Tzolkin altar created under another Intended purpose to follow the 20 Archetypes as they are expressed in the Maya’s calendar of Human Creation. Though, the precepts are the same. We can learn something new about our way from another way. And we can also choose ANY way that speaks clearest to the Time and Place where we are on our own journey.
I learned a great many things from don Oscar Miro-Quesada, first of all, the Power of Love that can be sent long distance in a very powerful way that can be Seen and Acknowledged and Felt by a Human Being. The Power I felt through his way, was a Truth to believe for All Divine Ways in an earlier climb to Believe in the Reality Above.
In this Time and Place when so many claim to be shaman, Don Oscar explains that “shaman” were the Indigenous Elders long ago who shared a way. He doesn’t define himself as a “shaman,” only a practitioner of the shamanic ways. All the Sacred Words and Ways shared in different ways, offer a comparison for a Being of Duality to see there is more than One Way that leads to an altar, and ALL ways ARE Divine by any Name they’re given.
I have chosen Miguel Angel Vergara as a teacher on the Mayan calendar path. I will be featuring more links to Miguel Angel’s offerings. I’ve chosen a “lone path” in Spirit, learning from many different ways. ALL our different ways are divine, and divine resources from which find a way that speaks to Our Heart. It was a lesson that choosing one path that leads a way and a chronology, is more powerful (for me) to focus all my intention and Love into the Central path of my choice.
Don Oscar Miro-Quesada is an Elder of integrity, intention, and the humility that speaks the Truth of his Compassionate Love and his authenticity.
His inspiration is offered as a Gift from the Divine Masculine perspective.
Don Oscar taught that The Calling to shamanic practice and any spiritual path is manifested from the Archetype of the Wounded Healer. The hardest of life’s experiences lead to the Highest Gifts of Compassionate Love. He’s written the story of the wounded past that Called Him in a moving book, “Lessons in Courage: Peruvian Shamanic Wisdom for Everyday Life.” The book is available on Amazon, highly-reviewed, with which I wholly agree. His story is an inspiration from the “hard road” that Human Beings walk that can lead to the discovery of their own Divine Sanctuary and Mission of Spirit.

Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. My gift for a New Tzolk’in Round…
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide for daily aspects and events of the Crocodile/IMIX trecena.
My gift for this Tzolk’in round is linked there, a Tzolk’in Field Guide that has as much about the basic aspects of each day as I could think to put into it. The directions and the elements are aspects of Universal Laws that can be known in MANY ways, through many kinds of practice. My aim with the dates for each trecena, included for the next few years, was an intention that we could have everything for a day in one place at hand, if we didn’t have a computer.
How have you changed? What do you want to do?
I love to hear from you. It’s interesting to hear how we all experience the energy in different ways. We all have something to share that can help us remember and SEE if it’s happening the same with us too!
