8 Deer / MANIK – A Journey of Illumination: Day 8 of 13

8 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 8 holds the Intention of the Justice of Harmony and Equity. Number 8 is a symbol of “pure spirit,” Life and Abundance to infinity. Tone 8 begins the Transformation of Consciousness that holds blessings that reach beyond our Time and Place to the Destiny of the Whole.

On Tone 8 we begin to Conceive a Higher Reason to Believe. The Transformation phase of the trecena is illustrated as the descending stairs of the pyramid. Through a Divine Reflection of Tone 7, at the threshold of Spirit, we saw stairs that continued on into the realm of Spirit. Descending stairs are the illustration of the Human experience. In the Balance, an Unseen Force draws us to Higher, just like the force of gravity that pulls us down.

The Transformation is carried out by a Divine Agency. We pushed and Intention of Creation to the limits of Human Faith. Through the Intention of Divine Justice, a Power Above will carry our Dreams the rest of the way to a New Light of Believing.

8 Deer/MANIK is the Holy Day of a Divine Initiation. Through the first season of the Tzolk’in, we’ve been raised to a Higher Consciousness of the Divine Human Beings we were designed to be. All things are created for a meaning and purpose. We don’t imagine a Dream unless we have a Reason for the end. We were born as the Scion to reflect the Creator’s Highest Light on Earth. Deer/MANIK guides the Mission of the Mayan priest. Through a dedicated Mission to carry out the prayers, rituals, and sacred ceremonies at an altar, our Light would shine a way for the Whole to find the never-ending Truth of Love and the Provision for a Life defined by a Divine Meaning and Purpose.

Deer/MANIK resides in the West, holding the Element of Water. Water holds the Ether of Spirit, used by the Mayan priest for Blessings, Baptisms, Purification and Initiations. The Blessings of Spirit are poured over us to consecrate a New and Higher Consciousness of a Divine Meaning for Time. Through a Blessing of Spirit, we Know we’ve found a way to Remember that a Supreme Creator WILL ANSWER every prayer. Intending to follow a path led by Divine Truth and Intentions to Love, a Blessing from Above will bless the Holy Ground where we will carry out the steps, the path we will follow, and the Consciousness to Remember the way WILL lead to our Divine Destiny.

Our friend Jen in Guatemala shared this photo of Sacred Ceremony carried out by a Mayan priest near Lake Atitlan. The Elders invited us to lay our Spiritual Tools on the altar to receive a Blessing. Some also brought their shoes or a pair of glasses. On 8 Deer/MANIK, through our rituals and ceremonies, we will Know the Truth of Answered Prayers. What we call Sacred, will be made so forever by the Agreement of a Trinity Above and Below.

Deer/MANIK is the giver of Spiritual Tools, said to keep every tool it’s ever used. The Mayan priest holds the Medicine Bundle for the Whole, all the tools passed down from the High Priest that led before. MANIK raises our Consciousness to the Divine Power held in all things we Choose to Define as Sacred. “Sacred” is a Perspective chosen from a Divine State of Consciousness. What Human calls Sacred is SO. What is Seen Sacred will ALWAYS Be, because ALL things ARE Sacred to the One Above.

8 Deer/MANIK is the Initiation that Consecrates our Life as Sacred. What was Sacred from the Beginning moves toward its own Divinity with the Choice to Live as God’s Hand in the world. The glyph illustrates how to walk our path of Beauty. The circle illustrates the eye of the Deer and the Gift of Vigilant Consciousness. The Hand, another name for Deer/MANIK, reaches to grasp a thread of Ether that is a Truth of the Light Above. Grasping a Light of Divine Truth, Deer/MANIK completes a circuit to a Divine Source of Power Above. Given the Light of a Divine Way to believe in our Dreams, our Heart will Feel the Love that will lead us from our Darkness into the Light.

Deer/MANIK is a symbol of stability, with one foot planted in each of the 4 directions. MANIK shares the strength of Spirit to stand on our own Truth. The Deer never needs to defend the Truth it believes, because it believes the Divine Truth like Common Sense. Our pillars of Faith WILL Stand. It won’t matter what others think, when our Heart Feels the Truth of our Way. We’ll still meet the same Human limitations, though they can no longer hold us back, when we hold the Wisdom to Kneel in Humility to that Truth. We don’t have to be perfect anymore. We are Sacred and we can Believe that with every Divine Intention, we’re on course for the Miracle of Justice from One that will only see the Beauty of our Intention.

What the Divine Creator claims is Beautiful will be Seen Beautiful. By the Authority of the Highest One, all of Humanity will see the Beauty of a Human that keeps reaching against all odds, toward the Faith to Believe in a Divine Power of Love. Through the Truth of a Divine Way, the Deer emanates a Power of Harmonic Resonance. Falling in step with a Vibration of “pure spirit,” hearts all around will be drawn by sympathy into the Harmony of Love. All we have to do is to kneel at an altar for another to see and Remember their own Divine way.

We won’t ever have to feel alone. Sometimes it’s hard for a Human Being to believe in the Power of One to make a difference. When we are kneeling, others will claim a Higher Power to Believe, where 2 could kneel as 1. The Deer/MANIK stands on a Prayer to Believe as an Offering for the Whole to claim a Power of Divine Trinity.

The Mayan priest leads by an attraction to the Light. To stand in the integrity of Truth, the Deer allows others to see the Truth of limitations. The Deer is said to hold the power to turn away from thoughts of negativity, by One Divine Spiritual Tool that covers every Human limitation. Deer/MANIK shares a Light that proves that a Divine Future is never beyond hope and never beyond the Choice of a Divine New Beginning.

To all my relations, may we claim the Truth that we were Sacred from the Beginning, and by the Power of the Highest Intention, we are Sacred to the End. May we claim a Divine Place where we are always Loved, just as we are. And, Just as we Are, we are worthy of a brand new beginning every day, Knowing from the start that Love Will Find A Way.

May we bring all our Spiritual Tools to the altar and ask that what we have called Sacred be consecrated for their Divine Purpose. May we claim something of our own as a New and Sacred Tool for Human to have and to hold to Remember. What we call Sacred for a Mission of Love, will be Sacred for ALL Time. May we kneel in the Light to Receive the Blessing of Truth to our Heart.

in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.
