THE TRECENA OF CROCODILE/IMIX: GERMINATION
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Peak Tone 7 we complete Human’s climb. From the top of the pyramid we can see “all that is” and “all that is not.” Tone 7 holds the Intention of Reflection. Number 7 represents the Divine Balance and the Great Law of Creation, “As Above, So Below.”
When we hold a Truth of Love, Above, in our thoughts, we WILL see the Divine Effect in the experiences of Life. We were born to create lots of things. By Human Nature we want to build something Real. A Divine Creator intended a tangible Life for Human Beings. Though, it’s not the Highest Priority. What we have to learn is that when we take care of the Highest Priorities first, the other pieces will snap into place, like Instant Manifestation.
It’s “instant” because we were dedicated to a Higher Cause. The world below became a Second priority. We hardly notice when we are invested in something else. Beauty doesn’t “instantly manifest.” We “instantly” FINALLY see how beautiful Life has always been.
On Tone 7 something is made clear that we didn’t see before. It may be something we’ve seen a dozen times, only now we’re finally conscious of it. It takes Time to arrive at a Divine Discernment. We have to see things in many ways over Time to get the gist of it.
The Maya believe that the “Reflection” at the top of the pyramid is the threshold to a realm above. Like a “Reflection” the Jaguar sees on the Water, in the Balance, there’s a REAL world Above, and just the Reflection of it Below. To make a Divine Discernment of Truth, we have to look backwards and forwards, inside and out, Above and Below.
The TRUTH that is REAL is the journey to Love. By a Divine Choice Above, Life will be Beautiful when Love in Divine Communion is our 1st Priority.
Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest. MANIK is a demonstration of Faith in Action. The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for MANIK, who offers the Human Hand below in service to a Divine Cause Above. Carrying out its Divine Mission for Life, the Hand grasps a thread of Ether that completes a Divine Circuit to the Power of Love. The circle on the Hand represents the Deer’s Tool of Vigilant Consciousness.
Deer/MANIK guides us to dedicate our Self to the purpose of being Vigilantly Conscious of Where we are and what’s going on. Now we see the Truth lies ALL Around on Holy Ground. A Divine Mother is guiding an experience for us to remember where to go. Our Holy Ground lies at an altar.
Deer/MANIK resides in the West, the direction of our Unknown Future. The Deer is a symbol of stability with the legs to plant in each of the 4 directions. The Deer guides the Wisdom to stand silently in our Truth. Truth will defend itself when we’ve discerned the facts of a matter. We will find the way through the Truth, when we Kneel in Humility to a Higher Power. The Truth is, most of our “life and death” situations are matters of Resolving the Truth. In Divine Communion we remember the Breath of our Life.
Deer/MANIK is the Giver of Spiritual Tools. The Mayan priest holds the medicine bundle with all the tools passed down from the priest who led before. MANIK can help us see the Divine Tools we hold when we possess a Divine Discernment of Truth. Divine Truths are the Tools for us to make the Journey, thoughts that lead to ends of Love. The Deer holds a Gift of Harmonic Resonance. The Sound of “unconditional Love” draws lower frequencies into sympathy with the Vibration. There’s tangible evidence of the gift in Music. When we hear discordant tones played together, our Ear wants to hear the resolution of Harmony. Harmonic Resonance is the way Music moves our Spirit.
We like to make our own choices. We were born for it. We never draw others into the Harmony of Love, trying to force them to go along. The Truth of Love is reflected by our Life when we are dedicated to a path of Humility. Like the Mayan priest, who counts the days and carries out the rituals and ceremonies on behalf of the whole, when the fragrance and smoke of copal rises and others see, they will remember to say their own prayers.
The Divine One who holds the Power of Authority in OUR lives, is the Authority over the WHOLE. The Whole was given a perception of Beauty in Harmony and Equity. A Divine Life was marked by the beauty of Unconditional Love to shine a Light to the Whole.
MANIK holds the Element of Water, used by the Mayan priest for Blessings, Initiations, Purification, and for the Baptism of New Spirit. The Element of Water is a Blessing of Living Water received to the Heart. Today the Holy Ground is consecrated where our Divine Life will stand, and we receive the Baptism of Living Water. A Divine Consciousness will Come to Life by grasping the Truth of the One Above, Loving the One Below.
MANIK holds one very special tool greater than all the rest, the Spiritual Tool of Divine Provision for every Human limitation. No exceptions. We are Promised that at an altar we will always Know the most Important Truth NOW. There’s Holy Ground in our Heart where Divine Truth will always stand. We only need to take the Sacred Breath to cross the threshold to the place covered by a Divine Provision of a Hand Above.
There’s a myth about the Deer held by hunters to account for Deer that can never be found after they’ve been hit by an arrow. They say there’s a hollow place, high in the chest. In the event the Deer exhales when receiving the arrow, it can find a way through.
Life won’t always be fair. We can accept the Truth of that. Though, no harm can come to the Truth of Love that is our Sanctuary. A Divine Creator DID create a place for us to go, away from the darkness our Spirit isn’t intended to bear. We don’t have to fight our own battles. Standing on Truth they will be resolved in the Divine Way.
My life shared the truth of a new way led by Love. I’ve had one of those “life or death” issues this week that feels like the snake backed into a corner. At the core of the issue is a human error that can be resolved by Truth. Yet, old feelings and old ways don’t match anymore for the highest outcome. I’ve made a dozen phone calls to try to correct an error on the other end, that came at some cost to my credit report. When I couldn’t get through, and it feels like such a big deal, I could see the urge to push my way out of a corner. I could FEEL all the energy of resolve/war I was gathering to stand my ground. (I’m preparing for the call of resolution today.) I saw how it MUST FEEL by Intention on the other end.
I was given a Higher Way. I have all the details and facts of Truth. Truth will stand for itself. The Most Important truth I can lead into the call is my gratitude that someone is now there to help. And, here’s what really needs to be done, if you can lead me to one who can help. The old way was the Human strike out of a corner. Maybe by the Time it happens, I’ll be totally balanced in the center of a “life or death” that was never “life or death” in the first place. I can count on the Truth to defend my life. It may take Time, but the Truth will be the end as it was in the beginning.
In a Reflection, it reminds me what the Elders say about the “extremes” – to Normalize Divine Experiences, instead of acting like they are unbelievable miracles. It’s the WAY Life is supposed to be. “Truth” resides in the root words of the Alpha and Omega. Truth is intended to stand for ALL Time. We can stand Humbly on the Truth and a Light will shine for us. By Human Nature we’re inclined to deny facing a Truth when one says, “I told you so.” By Human Nature we spring into a defensive posture when we’re “challenged” by the Truth.
The Mayan priest knows we’re all on a path, just a different Time and Place. There’s nothing we need to make sure everyone else knows, because we know. THE FUN is finding out. This is a day to Honor those who are dedicated to a path of Divine leadership. The Elders say to Remember, they are Human Beings too. Let them be a Human Being too. We are called to take up our own staff for the journey. The Divine leg to stand is the Gift for our New Life. We can choose a sacred object that symbolizes the One Divine Provision for everything.
To all my relations, may we give thanks for one who watches over us with the Vigilant Eye of Divine Consciousness. We can claim something tangible to have and to hold and carry to remind us that no harm will ever befall us when we are on Holy Ground. Though others may fall around us, our Spirit will carry on, and our Spirit will hold the Power to find it’s Holy Ground.
The Elders taught us about the New Times when people are scattered without a Divine Community. They say it is Worthy and Good to carry out the rituals and ceremonies for our Self, when Time calls for a Baptism, Initiation, Blessing or Purification. Carried out for a Divine Purpose, the One Above will have a Hand in it.
May we exhale the Holy Breath of our Prayers in worship of the One Above, so every sling and arrow will just pass through. May we bless our Self with Holy Water.
in lak’ech, i am another you

7 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
