THE TRECENA OF CROCODILE/IMIX: DAWN OF A NEW AWAKENING
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
1 Crocodille/IMIX (ee meesh), Cherokee, Turtle/ DAK’SI, Destiny Kin 1
March 20, 2023 (03/20/2023)
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Crocodile/IMIX is the Alpha to the Omega of Sun/AHAU, “simply the beginning of all things.” IMIX symbolizes the Divine Feminine aspects of Discernment and Compassionate Love. IMIX holds the duty to nourish us to grow and to complete the Dream that was written within.
The glyph illustrates the Mother’s breast or the jar of milk for the care and feeding of the New Seed of our Self. As the beginning of a new Tzolk’in round, we’re starting a new life from the beginning.
The first order of business is to raise the Truth of the Divine Father that will guide our way. IMIX is a very mentally active day filled with “wild ideas” that come in random order out of the blue. It comes with the advice to pray for good sense and reason. This is NOT a day to take action, or to figure out what it means. The point is to know that Dreams are shared from Above.
Like any newborn, we’re likely to reach for the first shiney thing we see. We’re intended to take our time to choose the Dream of our Heart’s Desire. It’s said that when you follow the IMIX Dream you love, the Creation will be manifested as a work of Divine Genius. Don’t choose a dream just because it’s within your reach. Love is the Power to see it through.
This round 1 IMIX falls in synchronicity with the Spring Equinox, when we can SEE the Light that descends from above along the stairs of the Temple to Kulkulkan/Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. El Castillo is an archeological wonder of Light and Vibration. El Castillo echoes the Sound of the Sacred Quezal Bird when you clap your hands at the bottom of the stairs. The Heart of our New Seed will Feel the Truth as the “lightning in our blood,” the gift the Maya refer to as the “Sixth Sense of the Heart. We couldn’t ask for a better day for the New Seed of our Self to be planted on Earth. Earth’s time represents Truth that is intended to be known on a planetary scale. The whole of Humanity is being awakened to a New Life.
The Cherokee Day Sign is the Turtle/DAK’SI, that rose from the depths of the sea to create dry land. The turtle is marked by 13 scales on its back. We are born to create on Mother Earth. The Turtle shares the Sign as the 7 days and 6 nights of Creation.
IMIX will share all the Divine Possibilities for the Dream in our Heart to come true. As the leader of this trecena, we’re likely to have one wild idea after another. Pay attention to the way that Divine Inspiration breaks through. You may notice that the “wild idea” breaks through an existing training of thought. Notice how the Dreams “come to you.” You may receive an entire download that fills in the blanks for a long-lost dream from your past.
IMIX is called the Mother of Innovation. You could get a bright idea as “someone should fix this.” If you Love the idea with all your heart, maybe “someone” is you.
The next 13 days…
Our beginning on Tone 1 starts from the energy of inertia, AFTER the crashing wave of Tone 13 that raised us higher ground. We aren’t supposed to do anything but “take in the light.” You may notice a lack of productivity, no matter how much you try. I call it a good day to sort the big paper clips from the small paper clips. It’s a good day for planning. Don’t be hard on yourself if you can’t seem to get anything done. (You’ll make up for lost time when we reach Tone 3.) This entire trecena may feel like you’re pushing through the mud. (We are.) The first trecena and the first uinal represent the germination of our New Seed. You may have had the perfect vision of Faith on 13 Sun/AHAU and suddenly feel like all your confidence suddenly evaporated into thin air. Remember, all we have to do is make a trip to the alter. When we ask for a Hand from Above, the Creator will Answer and see us through.
The 1st uinal is the “legend for our new life.” We have to get acquainted with the New Seed to discover everything we’re capable to do. There’s a lot for a newborn to learn. The fact that we can’t do for our self is the Sign to raise the Truth of a Divine Provision for every Human limitation. IMIX is the energy of the Mother that holds us close to her heart, and encourages us through compassionate love. She knows how we feel. In her arms we’ll discover the mystery that eases the pain and calms all our doubts and fears.
Warning: With all the wild ideas and downloads going on, IMIX can be one of those days when people can hardly shut up. It’s best to take some time for your self to get lost in your own dreams. Take a nap. Make sure you eat on schedule. Listen to your body and take good care of your self! Treat yourself and celebrate the first day of a New Life. Pay attention to the new way you see yourself and the rest of your life. Remember you have plenty of Time to claim a Dream that has your name on it.
CYCLE OF “LIGHT”
Crocodile/IMIX is a Day Sign of “Light” (Red or Blue), reflecting a cycle of Divine Inspiration. The first 20 days will complete the Germination. In the 2nd trecena, the Jaguar/IX will lead us back to the Holy of Holies at the top of the pyramid through an experience of Truth that is personal. On 7 Sun/AHAU, we’ll remember “all that is” and “all that is not” intended to be by the One Above. The Jaguar will lead us back to the top of the pyramid on 7 Sun/AHAU, to See “all that is” and “all that is not” in the Divine Balance again.
MASTER NUMBER 11:
Number 11 is the symbol of our Life Path. Through an experience of Light, we’ll be raised again to a Higher Consciousness and Know who we are intended to be. The power of the symbol is multiplied by every repetition. This is the 1st trecena, the 1st uinal, and IMIX holds the 1st position of the Tzolk’in round (ie. 111).
In the first 65 days of the Tzolkin we grow like the Seed, reaching to know who and what we will be, while we’re making our Way to the Light. IMIX holds the Element of Fire. Through a Power of Transmutation, a dormant Seed will claim a New Life and New Intention to be.
PEAK DAYS: Peak Experience, Peak Performance
- 6 Transformer/CIMI – will generate the Momentum to go with the flow as we establish a new rhythm and pattern of movement. CIMI is the Sign of a Major Life Change, and the Light to see we’re never alone.
- 7 Deer/MANIK – will introduce our Spiritual Tools, and the Truth of a Promise to guide us to reach for the Light.
- 8 Star/LAMAT –exalts the Truth of a New Beginning in its zenith Light.
- 9 Offering/MULUC – completese our first transformation. We’ll see that our Life is the Offering to witness the Truth of the One. We’ll see the Truth of a Bigger Picture and a New Life that will be carried out by the Law of Cause and Effect.
GUARDIAN OF THE TRECENA
13 Reed/BEN is the Truth that stands at the end from the beginning. We’re led to the Truth of a Sanctuary, where the Heart of Sky and the Heart of Earth will be the Guiding Light for Home and Family. We’ll know the place where we belong, where a Divine Agency guides the way and shares the Light for tomorrow.
To all my relations, may we count our blessings for the Beauty of a New Beginning, and the Chance to Live Again, starting out with the Truth we couldn’t see before. May we take it all in and Dream of the New Story of our Life. May we remember the Creator has already seen the end that inspired the beginning. May we use our Gift of Vigilant Consciousness to be the Divine Witness of every moment that was intended to be.
We’re intended to be present Here and Now to Remember, we’re always exactly where we’re supposed to be. May we Count our Blessings for everything that is part of the New Story of our Life.
in lak’ech, I am another you

1 Crocodile/IMIX (Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI)
Galactic Tone 1: Unity. The beginning of all things, the first and the whole, the all of one, assertive and self guided these persons give a good push to whatever project they are associated. One persons work best when meeting a challenge. Do not expect one person’s to be attentive to details or put the finishing touches on things.
Crocodile/IMIX: Crocodile receives messages of primal creative force; simply the beginning of all things. Crocodiles who follow their hearts are seen as genius. There is no order to the primal messages, so Crocodile persons should direct their energies toward practical and cooperative efforts to bring productive results. Crocodiles have a strong nurturing energy and will work hard to provide security to family and friends. Being extremely territorial, Crocodiles must watch not to be over protective or too dominating. While in these states, Crocodiles are insecure, indecisive and emotionally volatile.
Cherokee Turtle/ DAK’SI I’SB: Symbol, Turtle Island. Direction East. The Turtle Constellation Orion, one of three stars in the Cosmic Egg. In Mayan this is the Cosmic Hearth. Energy of Creative force at the one-on-one, personal level; dawn, awakening, birth. The beginning of each new era, this star in Orion appears with the rising Sun, heralding the creation of a new World cycle. TOTEM Imix/Dragon – Energy to understand all things sacred. Creation energy, connection for visions to learn the mysteries of the Universal knowledge. The dragon carries the source energy of life, revered in ancient cultures for power and wisdom.
