THE TRECENA OF EARTH/CABAN: THE ClARION CALL TO  OUR HEART MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL 1 Earth/CABAN, Destiny Kin 157, Position 17 August 23, 2023, 08/23/2023 Greetings Beloved Kin, Earth/CABAN is the Clarion Call for all great migrations on Earth. The real journey begins when we Know who we are, what we want, and we invest our Self in the Dream that was written in our Heart. A CYCLE OF LIGHT Earth/CABAN guides our way by the Light of Divine Inspiration. The Elders say that Mother Earth was the first and enduring gift that was the Offering of the Creator to live in a living world. She was prepared for us as our Divine Place to Be, and through her Perpetual Movement she creates the Time of our Life. Everything Human knows we learn from her. The  Aztec Day sign is Ollin, which simply means Movement. Ollin is said to mark the time when we realize who we are becoming, and all we’ve Dreamed we could be. Day Ollin (Movement, known as Caban in Maya) is governed by Xolotl as its provider of tonalli (Shadow Soul) life energy. This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived. The thirteen day period (trecena) that starts with day 1-Ollin (Movement) is ruled by Tlazolteotl. This trecena is governed by the goddess of cotton and weaving, of sexuality and childbirth, she who is the eater of sins: it is the sign of the Scavenger, who feeds not on power but on the ills that darken the heart. The rainbow serpent, symbol of pleasure and folly, levitates amidst a shroud of smoke and shadow: these are 13 days of stolen secrets and odd twists of fate. The earth itself shakes: the ills created by shock can sometimes only be cured by greater shock. These are good days for self-purification; bad days for self-gratification. Aztec Calendar   We are set to “the work” of creating Our Life. This is not a Time just to “go along.” It’s time to ask our Self, “Who am I? and “What do I want?” I found another quote, “Wherever you go, there you are.” Though, that’s not the Whole Truth. We have to be present in the moment To Be. The Ollin symbol lies at the center of the Aztec “Sun Stone,” marking 20 Times of Knowing. The fierce face that lies in the center is Tonatiuh, commanding the Truth that Shall Be. The claws on either side are symbols of Tlazolteotl, “Filth Goddess” associated with the moon. As the “Mother of Gods” she uses her claws to tear away at the filth and the dying flesh that stands in the way of the Life that is intended to be. Together they symbolize forces of Earth’s nature that Command the Will of the Creator. “Come hell or high water” we will be moved by these two in charge of the Destiny of “God’s children.” (The Aztec “gods” always seem to share the Truth in a harsh way.) If we are on-course by a Choice to follow the Light of the Creator, the Earth can move under our feet in a Divine Way. The Powers that be will offer divine protection and purify our the Intentions for our Highest Good. By circumstances beyond our control we’ll be moved to stand in the Integrity of our own Highest Truth. The power is reminiscent of Saturn that is shining near the Moon. Saturn is the taskmaster that tests our resolve. The good news is that whenever Saturn moves on a Gift is left behind. We’ll be stronger and wiser for the experience. Psalms 23:5   You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.   The verse from David’s 23rd psalm is about Trusting God for everything, and claiming all things are for the Good of the Creator’s Highest Intention for our Life. The Darkest hour always comes before the Dawn. The Times when the affairs of life in the world are beyond the power of Human’s hands to change, are the same Times when our eyes are open to “see a Miracle” from the Hand of God. We are guided to Live with all our Heart and Know that God will Provide. This is Time to employ the Vigilant Eye of the Deer, to be present in the Here and Now to see Movement all around. Like the Deer, if we’re Humble by our own limitations to claim that following the Creator’s Light is our Only Hope, we’ll be prepared to Leap to Higher Ground. THE 8TH AND 9TH UINAL We will complete the 8th uinal of Divine Justice on 4 Sun/AHAU. On 5 Crocodile/IMIX we’ll be raised to a Higher Consciousness of our Divine Communion with the Heart  of Sky. In the 9th uinal we see the Truth of Cause and Effect, with the Patience to see the Big Picture of the Creator’s Ways and Means to make all our Divine Dreams come true. On 2 Wind/IK, we’ll see the Choice that lies in the Creator’s Hands and hear the Voice that speaks to us through the Wind. IK is the Whirlwind governed by the god Huracan, holding the Power of a Hurricane. We can reside in Peace at the  Center in the eye of the storm. Wind/IK can change the landscape of our life through an “act of God.” Our fate depends on the Choices we make. 4 SUN/AHAU: Global Burner Day 4 AHAU marks the birth of Humanity, the day the Light of Human Consciousness was born on Earth. Global Burners serve a purpose of releasing residual energy of the past. We shed an old life to begin the new. 4 Sun/AHAU will burn away an old identity to forge the new. 4 Sun/AHAU offers Stability through a Higher Revelation of Truth. (4 Ahau is the Collective Mayan Birthday of Humanity.) 1 Earth/CABAN offers the “first light” of knowing our life will be changed forever by the Time we reach the end of 13 Offering/MULUC. As the Guardian of this trecena we are guaranteed to know the Answer to our Prayers depends on the way of the “Christ Spirit,” giving back and paying forward our Highest Ways of Love and Forgiveness, and calling it ALL Divine. If you think about it, where would we be now without all the mountains we had to climb. Through it all, we learned that we CAN, and God Will. The Darkness in the world raised our Highest Hopes and Aspirations to Holy Ground. With a purified heart, we can claim ALL things are for the good for those who Love. Nothing can stand in our way when we know our Divine Cause is destined for the end of a Divine Effect. Forgiveness could come naturally, when we see how much we’ve been changed by the experience. Before we’re halfway through “Human’s climb” by faith, 4 Sun/AHAU will offer the Stability To Be, and we’ll be drawn together in Right Relationship. The peak of our climb is 7 Night/AKBAL. We’ll see “all that is” and “all that is not” Divine Will to become the Dreamer that Believes in the Dream. Earth/CABAN guides the way of Divine Discernment. Think once to see “what it is.” Think twice to see “what it means.” And think again beyond a mind of Human reason to claim there’s a Divine Reason “why” and you’ll know it’s the Answer to a Prayer. It’s time to run to Mother Earth every time we need to remember the End of Beauty. It’s Time to draw on the Love that is manifested as Beauty in the all around, and bring an Offering of the Heart to Mother Earth. We know who we are by the One who claims us as their own. Mother Earth is the “identity imprint” to know the Love of Belonging. The Cherokee Day sign is the Heron, a nahaul of perpetual migration, and the symbol of the Phoenix.
