Greetings Beloved Kin,

4 Earth / CABAN
CABAN is a symbol of Earth’s perpetual Movement, a sign of Life. CABAN is the Clarion Call for all the Great Migrations on Earth.
The Cherokee Day sign is the Heron. The Heron lives a life of perpetual movement, and is also the symbol of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of its Past. The Aztec Day sign is the Ollin, which simply means Movement. The Ollin symbol is illustrated at the center of the Stone Calendar with the image of K’inich Ahau (K’iche name).

Ollin symbol, with face of K’inich Ahau
This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived. Aztec Calendar
Earth/CABAN holds the Element of Fire, raising our Passion for Life and the Dreams of our Heart’s Desire. She awakens our Senses to everything that Life can be.

The Cosmic Pause: Embracing Stillness and Reflection (LifeAdventerously.com shares meanings of the Solstice) The Winter Solstice, occurring on December 21, 2023 (10:27 PM EST) serves as a cosmic pause. It’s a moment when the Earth’s tilt away from the sun reaches its peak, creating a brief stillness before the gradual return of longer days. Spiritually, this mirrors a time for us to embrace stillness in our lives, to reflect on the past year, and to contemplate our paths ahead. It’s a period that encourages introspection and self-examination, urging us to look inward and find peace in the quiet.
Earth/CABAN is the Clarion Call to Live with all our Heart. Like Mother Earth’s shift at the Winter Solstice, it’s Time to move lean in to the Light, and Listen to what our Divine Mother has to say. Earth is the source of all Human knowledge. Everything we’ve learned about the Universe began with her. Her Movement sets the course of Time and the Seasons and the 4 directions of Life. CABAN resides in the East, the direction of the Sunrise, the Light of Inspiration that leads us through every Day.
This is a Day to be Consciousness of the Intimate Relationship we share with Earth everyday. The weather is one of our first questions of the day and among our hot topics of conversation. She rules the Home. Within her womb, she makes all things new.
We can honor her Divine Relationship with Father Sun. They perpetually uphold the Dance of Life, Light, and Happiness. At the turning of the Seasons, Earth sways to that every place on Earth receives their fair share of the Light.
K’inich Ahau represents the Brightest Light of the Sun. At the beginning of every major cycle of Light, K’inich is the “first light” that breaks. There is a first light of knowing that’s just the beginning. The expression on the face is similar to the Maori Haka’s tradition. At the Beginning the Sun’s Brightest Light declares, THIS SHALL BE. On either side of the Ollin symbol are the “claws of the Divine Mother.” She will tear the dying flesh away from the bone from anyone who stands in the way of a Life that’s intended to be. It’s not wise to mess with her children.

N’oj – The cross-hatch design represents the veil. Around the head is the head-scarf of the Mayan priest. The wavy line goes straight from the mouth to human’s consciousness. (It doesn’t turn in circles through Human’s imagination, but turns straight to the Source.) The N’oj and CABAN glyphs are “legends.” If you know what the elements mean, you’ll recognize them when they show up on many other glyphs. Symbols are more powerful when you “N’oj” what they mean. 🙂 Symbols create an “experience” the subconscious mind understands.
The K’iche Day sign is N’oj, a sacred word and the Name of an Angel that came to Earth, disguised as a Human Being. As the legend goes, the Lord of Creation intended to send a messenger to help advance the Human race. He would choose the one to go and was accepting applications. The Angels who volunteered demonstrated their special powers in an all-out campaign. Meanwhile, N’oj (no ‘ho) hung back lost in the crowd. N’oj was offered the position for his talent of blending in. N’oj came to Earth and blended in as an ordinary, but very special Human Being, bringing knowledge about all the arts and sciences. When the job was done, N’oj returned to the Creator’s realm and was promoted to a demi-god for his work. (The “Ancient Aliens” are celestial beings, so the Elders say.)
Earth Angels are said to carry on the work of N’oj. They are the Genius Human Beings who are remembered by the whole for their contributions to Human understanding. The synchronicities of the Tzolk’in dates suggest to me that Shakespeare was a N’oj. There’s a question about his date of birth – a discrepancy of about 3 days – that could have been the day he was born. (So was the Buddha born, and died on the same date.) Shakespeare is the most published Human author on the planet – only second to the Holy Bible. People are still debating about his stories, which Shakespeare said was hyperbole. I realized my life story was written in one of his hyperbole’s. Maybe you’ve noticed that the tragic story likes are appearing closer to the actual truth of everyday?
The only way to be Transformed into who we were intended to Know who we are becoming. Our decline is subtle until we’re nearly too far gone. We need to be shaken back to our senses. We need a Clarion Call. Red Day signs mark days/cycles of “Light” – an Illumination of Consciousness from the Source of Divine Inspiration. We were all intended to be Greater than N’oj – the Scion, the first descendant of the Father of Creation. If Shakespeare was N’oj, maybe he didn’t know it either.
Our Vision Quest of Spirit is a Clarion Call to watch, look, and listen for the Creator’s Light of Divine Genius. There’s a Time for every purpose. If there’s a Time to know a Spiritual Experience, it would be guided by the Day sign of Spirit.
We can call on the Divine Ancestors. To remember them is to bring the wisdom of their consciousness back to life within Human’s living body of consciousness. (Do you remember anyone you Love without seeing their living image?) Love is the Living Word in the Creator’s language that ignites the blood in our veins from Blue to Red. We might be seeing Red, or our face may turn Red from blushing. The odds are good that we’re intended to learn something today.
Tone 4 raises the Intention of Stability. Our Intention from the beginning was to remember a Divine Provision for every Human limitation. Be prepared for the possibility of a Human earthquake, and remember the Jaguar’s defense of Invisibility. Being seen or heard is not to our advantage.
Tone 4 guides us to create a strategy, the “rules of a game.” CABAN offers a strategy for discerning the Unseen Truth. When you think you see “what it is” and “what it means” look again, and again. Repeat after 6 minutes.
There’s a Time for everything. There is a Time to Know. We can ask, and listen before we jump to the first conclusion. We only have to be willing to face thee Truth.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

THE JAGUAR’S EARTH MAGIC OF GRATITUDE:
I’m grateful to be alive in a living world and for the consciousness to know it.

VISION QUEST:
The more you engage all your senses, the more real the experience will be. We associate a smell of incense to a state of mind and the presence of Spirit. We can use the Time to anchor experiences through signs and symbols, so when we see them, after, we’ll remember a “story” of this Time and Place.
The Vision Quest page shares some traditional ways. There is no right or wrong way. If there were, we’d never get it right. The best way is Your Way of honoring this Time. No one can tell us our own best way and no one but the Creator can tell us who we are.
Always ask the Highest One for Divine Protection to only allow Communion with the Messengers of the Most Holy One, for the Highest Good of the Whole. The Elders said we can Ask where our inspiration comes from, if we’re not sure. “Who are you? What do you want?” Though, if we have to ask, the Truth doesn’t speak for itself. They said to cast unwanted thought forms away with a blessing for the experience, and to call upon Archangel Michael (or your Highest Divine Source of protection) to escort them away.
The Highlights, Peak Energies, and Times of Synchronicity for this trecena are included on the 13-Day Trecena Guide.
The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.
Crocodile/IMIX is the first trecena in the first season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. The guide includes the overview for each trecena and the aspects for every day, so you can discern the Meaning of Time as it applies to your own Time and Place. It’s interesting to calculate the major dates in your life. You might discover they happened on the same Tzolk’in date. The calendar is written within. The Order is what we are naturally inclined to do. When you keep a daily journal to track your thoughts, you’ll see history repeat itself when the same matters are on your mind on the same day of every Tzolk’in round, only on a higher scale. One time around I overcame a fear of driving through Seattle rush-hour traffic. The next time, I was overcoming my fear to make a solo pilgrimage to the Mayan ruins of Ek’ Balam.

4 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI) – Day 4 of 13 of the 1 Jaguar/IX trecena

The Jaguar was one of Ian’s totems, the reason for the IX in “MayanMajix.com”
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Earth/Caban: Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
A GOOD DAY TO: Give thanks to Mother Earth for all her gifts.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.
