Lunar New Year: The Greatest Migration on Earth and a “Ring of Fire”

A Family Reunion

Lunar New Year begins on February 17, 2026 — the same day as the “Ring of Fire” solar eclipse. It’s a fitting kickoff for the Year of the Fire Horse: a “fire” sign starting under a fiery ring in the sky, created when the New Moon lines up with the Sun.

The traditional celebration begins February 16 and lasts to the Lantern Festival on March 3, 2026. There are specific intentions for each day, and begins with a Family Reunion. Family gatherings set the theme in the Celebration of the New Year.

Lunar New Year in China causes the largest migration in the world. Millions of Chinese travel from big cities to rural villages to visit their parents. There’s even a special word for this phenomenon — 春运 (chunyun or “spring migration”). The Lunar New Year, which is based on the traditional Chinese calendar, is observed not only in China — it is a very important festival for millions of people in other Asian countries.

The Perspective of Time and Place

The Heron lives a life of perpetual migration. CABAN represents the Clarion Call that begins every Great Migration on Earth. In the Spring from the 4 winds the Heron gather in the San Hills of Nebraska, where waters flow and fields of corn offer abundance.

The Creator is One with the Forces of Nature. At his command we are Drawn to our Time and Place. On the Day of the Lord the children of the Lord will be drawn from the 4 corners of Earth, to the New Jerusalem. God’s Sanctuary is a Kingdom within.

11 In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.

4 Earth / CABAN

Earth’s Movement creates geomagnetic forces. All the Great Migrations on Earth are guided by Nature’s GPS system defined by its Magnetic Poles. Forces of nature set the Course, the Destination, and the Time to Move. Earth/CABAN represents a Clarion Call to Move.

CABAN is the symbol of Knowing, beyond the limits of Human reason. On Days guided by Earth the Element of Fire ignites a Passion to be who we are and to claim the Life that was meant to be.

The Aztec define Ollin (the Mayan Day named CABAN) as a Time of the “purified heart” when we “identify” who we are becoming. The Truth of our past becomes the Wisdom for the future.

The Cherokee Day sign, the Heron, represents a life of perpetual migration, and the Phoenix that rises from the Ashes.

Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. A SOLAR SAIL IS CIRCLING EARTH: Last week, NASA unfurled a solar sail in Earth orbit–the Advanced Composite Solar Sail System (ACS3). It is wowing sky watchers with flashes as bright as the brightest stars. On Sept. 5th, Canadian satellite tracker Kevin Fetter photographed the sail passing almost directly in front of Vega: (Spaceweather.com offers a video of the event.)

4 Earth / CABAN

Earth/CABAN is the Perpetual Movement that Creates Time. The Cherokee Heron symbolizes a Life of Perpetual Migration. The Heron is a symbol of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of the past.

Movement is a Sign of Life. CABAN is a Force of Nature, the Clarion Call for every Great Migration on Earth. The Divine Creator created the Meaning and Order of Time. Nothing stays the same.

Tone 4 is the Intention of Stability. Earth maintains her orbit by the Fire that burns in her Heart. She carries us to the Light of every New Day. The Heart of Sky gives us a reason to keep moving on. We can’t stand still without falling behind.

Everything Human knows we learned from the experience of Life on Mother Earth. The Elders say that Earth was the first enduring gift of a Loving Creator as Life in a Living World. All things move on Mother Earth. Every Season and every year offers a new way of life. Movement is the only way to know the Truth of the Experience. There’s something new to learn from every beginning that leads to an end.

The Intention from the beginning was to realize we are One with the Creator and One with every living thing on Earth. All things hold the Consciousness of Life and Love. The Earth is Conscious of our Love and every Intention to Give Back and Pay Forward the blessing that is the Divine Inheritance of the Whole.

CABAN is a symbol of Earth’s perpetual Movement, a sign of Life. CABAN is the Clarion Call for all the Great Migrations on Earth.

The Cherokee Day sign is the Heron. The Heron lives a life of perpetual movement, and is also the symbol of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of its Past. The Aztec Day sign is the Ollin, which simply means Movement. The Ollin symbol is illustrated at the center of the Stone Calendar with the image of K’inich Ahau (K’iche name).

This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived. Aztec Calendar

An unexpected thunderstorm and heavy rain moved through quickly last night. The blessing always clears the air and provides the Nitrogen, the building blocks for Life to Grow.

All things that move generate electromagnetic energy. Thoughts are also electromagnetic. They become thoughtforms of electrical energy. Their force is determined by the Power of the Passion that is attached to the Intention. Passing negative thoughts leave their residue in the Air. The residue can be gathered around the energy of our own thoughts, like the dust that collects on a TV screen.

Tone 4 raises an Intention of Stability. In the 4th Hour of the Light, the Maya surveyed the field of corn to measure the work at hand. Tone 4 is related to the cube, an area defined by its borders and parameters. We can define a body of thought by setting boundaries for our thoughts. We can choose the “rules of our game.”

Earth/CABAN represents Mother Earth. She holds her Balance through perpetual motion. Ollin is the Aztec sign that simply means Movement, the Journey through Time. The Cherokee sign is the Heron, a creature of perpetual migration. The Heron is forever moving to greener pastures. The Heron is also a symbol of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes to Live Again.

Home alone is the place I know everything that’s real, aside from an outside characterization that can’t see a dream behind closed doors.
