Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
A Comet Rising After Sunset
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 10/13/2024
NAKED-EYE COMET AT SUNSET: When the sun goes down tonight, step outside and look west. You might see a comet. “I was driving across Utah and spotted Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS through the windshield shortly after sunset on Oct. 12th,” reports Brad Goldpaint. “I quickly pulled over at a rest stopand took this photograph.”
“The comet was easily visible to the naked eye roughly 15 minutes before this 13-second exposure,” says Goldpaint. “The Moon helped reveal the rugged canyons of the incredible landscape.”
Many other observers are having similar experiences. Here are some samples: “What a treat to see a naked-eye comet that was easily visible to our 6 year old grandson!!” says Brian Gold of Encino, California. “The views through 10×50 binoculars were spectacular!” says Tanner Golden of Cheaha mountain, Alabama. “The coma and tail of the comet were easily visible to the naked eye even with light pollution from our casino!” says Marcus Prazniak of Tonopah, Nevada.
“I could see it naked-eye beginning 39 minutes after sunset,” says Paul D. Maley, who sends this picture from Carefree, Arizona:

The view should improve in the nights ahead as the comet separates itself from the sun and climbs higher in the sunset sky. Prospects are nicely discussed in an article from Nick James of the British Astronomical Association: Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS looking good for October.

QUIET WEEKEND: Earth’s magnetic field is calming down after a full day of severe geomagnetic storming on Oct. 11th. Auroras this weekend are unlikely–even if the sun hurls another fast CME our way. It wouldn’t arrive until Tuesday.

2 Jaguar/IX (eesh), the Cherokee Panther (Saho’ni) is symbolized by comets, meteors, shooting stars, fireballs, and magicians. Jaguar is the guardian of the portals to other dimensions; shamanic abilities will open; multi-dimensional magic; healer, leader, way shower energy when used for spiritual growth. Abuse would be for using this power for control or negative purposes; must find a powerful balance. Tone 2 is the energy of Duality, discernment by the comparison of one thing to another. The Jaguar calls us to see the reflection. When you discern the Truth, consider what is opposite to the Truth you see. If you feel you are invisible to someone else, consider how they are invisible to you. We have to look to see the Truth on the inside.
Based on the above reports, to see the Comet look West about 30 minutes after Sunset. Each night it will appear a bit higher and brighter as it moves farther from the Sun. By Divine Design we are being drawn to see the Creator’s Lights above. Jaguar is the nahaul that leads a journey to the Light.
NOTE: The comet’s tail doesn’t reflect the direction of its path. Comet tails point away from the Sun, regardless of the direction in which the comet is traveling. (The Jaguar is a path that leads to the light.)

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.
Jaguar/IX: Born with a deep love of the Mother Earth, Jaguar or shaman is directly tied to the source of all Earth magic. They possess great power of intellect and strength or character through integrity. Jaguar energy is feminine in nature and is the ruling spirit of jungles, plains, and mountains. The spirit of Jaguar inhabits the Mayan temples and is called on to assist in spiritual as well as in material ways. Jaguar is also the god/goddess of gratefulness. Patience born of strength and skill can turn to pounce of quick decision and action. Both bold and stealthful, Jaguars do not often attack directly and communications from them usually contain some mystery. In the absence of integrity, Jaguars power corrupts becoming a search for wealth and fame.
A GOOD DAY TO: Commune and give thanks to Mother Nature.
Cherokee, Panther/SAHO’NI: Panther is symbolized by comets, meteors, shooting stars, fireballs, and magicians. Meteors appearing around the middle of November are Heralds of the Coming of the Light, the Cherokee New Year. Panther is the Shadow of the Sphinx, Herald of the Dawn, guardian of the night when the sun is traveling through the underworld. Panthers have unlimited imaginations, visualizations, and are spellbinding speakers. The Cherokee Totem Jaguar is the guardian of the portals to other dimensions; shamanic abilities will open; multi-dimensional magic; healer, leader, way shower energy when used for spiritual growth. Abuse would be for using this power for control or negative purposes; must find a powerful balance. Ix: The Kab’awil represents the heart of the planet, the female reproductive tract, the face of a jaguar and points east on the world map. Ix: woman, tiger. Conducive to pray for grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters and wives day. Balances, cunning and protection of Mother Nature. To thank the Earth for sustenance. Ix is the native cunning, enterprising, vigorous, bold and realistic.
