Communicating with our Spirit Within

It worked for Leonardo da Vinci

Greetings Beloved Kin,

I’ve been looking for the next art project to re-start my creative process. Danny Gregory of Sketch Book Skool on YouTube offers a 7-day challenge to create an illustrated journal. It sounds like a perfect way to start. Creation begets creation. This is easier than dragging out my beads or other craft projects that require a lot of tools and supplies to get started. Plus, it’s perfect for counting the Days.

All you need is an art journal, and a simple watercolor set… no art skills required. He offers suggestions for simple sketches. And you can color outside the lines, just to add a splash of beauty to each page.

It sounds like a perfect way to document a New Life. Years ago I attended a conference that included random art or nature photos next to each slide in the presentation, based on studies that engaging left/right brain content together expands comprehension and memory to whatever we’re learning about.

This was how I began my journal in 2015 painting the glyphs for every day. I have a collection of 17 or so journals that hold a treasure from the past. Leonardo’s journals became one of his greatest treasures for posterity. Who knows. If you become famous they could be worth a fortune. 🙂 Messy is the point. You can write backwards and sideways.

At the time I was imagining a future stuck in a nursing home. This is something you can do in bed.

The 7-Day Challenge That Changed My Life (You Can Do It Too!)

Options on Amazon – There’s a variety of options. The brand isn’t as important as the weight of the paper. 120lb paper won’t buckle, and mixed media journals are better at handling felt pens without bleeding through.

Wind/IK is about Communications of all kinds. We’re always available to communicate with our self. 🙂

love, Debra

THE TRECENA OF REED/BEN: CREATING A PLACE OF BELONGING

The Highlights, Peak Energies, and Times of Synchronicity for this trecena are included on the  13-Day Trecena Guide.

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

1 Sun/AHAU is the 4th trecena of the first season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. There’s something more to see when you discern the Truth for yourself.

Also see Daykeeper Resources for calculators and calendar links, and the Spiritual Tools page for ways to add to cause for a higher effect.

10 Wind/IK (Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA) – Day 10 of 13 of the  1 Reed/BEN trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in FREE CALCULATOR preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Winds embody the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, Wind persons make great orators and they spread the word of spiritual inspiration as it is carried by the wind. Wind is the power behind the movement of natural cycles such as weather, erosion, and cultural change. As the wind, these persons are extremely changeable and adaptable. They may appear inconsistent or fickle to others. Wind can be destructive to self and others by putting on airs. When Winds strut and boast, expanding on facts and accomplishments, they are building the dark clouds of trouble that may become hurricanes.

A GOOD DAY TO: Send Communications of all kinds.

Cherokee, Whirlwind/AGALU’GA: Whirlwind’s symbol is a double spiral helix in rising smoke. Wind brings energy for an Inquiring mind, learning and wisdom. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers), the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer. This reflects the whirling of life. Wind is the breath of the Universe (matching the Mayan symbol) channel of communication and carries the Sacred Smoke to the Great Spirit (Source- Hunab Ku in Mayan); matches the pulse of the breath of the Cosmos.

The “13th Bird” is the One Holy Spirit that resides in every Human heart, set Free when we surrender to the One Above.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page. ~Debra]
