4 Reed/BEN
Greetings Beloved Kin,
God’s Spirit is the Fire that burns away the flesh on our bones, so the Spirit of Light can break through the Darkness. Red represents the Fires ignited by the Truth. A burning desire to know Love that lasts forever turns us to the Only Source that can ever satisfy the Dream of belonging.
The Reed is the “hollow bone.” The Element of Fire burns the flesh away. The Reed is an open channel for the Communion of Spirit.
The glyph illustrates 2 channels of Light descending on the altar. The Mayan Elders note that the Light doesn’t reach all the way down. Below are the 2 thatched prayer mats for 2 to kneel as 1. Human is the 2, “being of duality.” Humanity is the Whole 1. The thatch design represents the veil. As Above, our Eyes are veiled when we kneel at an altar. We Ask in Faith for what we cannot see. What we can’t see is a Seed of Faith that is growing toward its inevitable end. If we could see, there couldn’t be an experience.
Reed/BEN raises the Consciousness of our Faith as a Gift and a Superpower of Creation. The Holy of Holies wanted to Experience Creation, apart from knowing everything all at once. We are different so the Creator can experience the Creation from an unlimited number of points of view.
Those born BEN hold the Highest Expectations (a gift and a curse). It comes with the advice to lead with a garden hose, and not a steel pipe. The garden hose is an out-pouring of Living Water, Love that sticks. Water is one of the stickiest elements. BEN reflects the strength and stature of the Masculine aspects of the Creator’s Consciousness. It is tempered by Fire for the Sake of Love.
Blessings Come to us when we don’t force our Human masculine identity. There’s a place for both aspects of our identity, as a matter of survival. The burden of masculinity is the “humbling.” Reed addresses the issue with a way to stabilize our Love with Patience to see more than one point of view. The Fire that burns is Resistance to a Power Greater than our Self. First the embers, then the sparks fly, then embers stirred into a full-blown flame.
We were offered the Gift of Consciousness to Feel it. We lose a sense of equilibrium when we’re stirred up by something that’s not going our way. That’s when we need to rely on Faith in Action.
The 2 prayer matts offer a place for our Self and the “other.” The “other” is the 1. I’m inclined to pray for my Self first. The “other” can turn into an after-thought. It’s easier to Love Humanity without prejudice, from the Creator’s point of view.
Matthew 20:16 KJV
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.
The world has a lot more troubles that we do. We know we are far from relating to those who are suffering the horror of the world. Life is hard everywhere. We share the same vibration of misery at different extremes of the scale.
We can share the Warmth of our Fire praying for everyone who ever felt the same. We can change the way we identify with the pain, when it is transmuted by Fire into the Passion we feel for one another. We could go last. And we would count our blessings, after Feeling the suffering of “the other” as the 1.
We can’t go to an altar without or within without turning a thought to the Creator and Redeemer. A prayer is the proof of a mustard Seed of Faith. If your heart is in it, the Creator shares the Quickening that Restores our Faith. Ask, Seek, and Knock are 3 Acts of Faith that make up a Divine Trinity. We Knock when we release the energy of our emotions. Emotions can be directed toward our Passion for one another. We assign the value of our pain. Faith is restored through prayers for someone else.
Our reality is the sum of all the thoughts on our mind. Intentional-Conscious thoughts become the predominant discernment of our day to day reality… a force of harmony or resistance to a Hand of Divine Agency.
We don’t have to change anyone. If we have Faith in our own Prayers for the lot of Humanity, considering how hard it seems to be to know the Right thing to do. Reed/BEN can be a breakthrough that disconnects a stronghold of pride and makes good sense. We can feel self respect when we stand in the integrity of our own Truth.
We could imagine the Last Generation and the First to Realize all things were leading to an experience of Peace on Earth. We can assign the value of our pain to a Divine Cause that appears to be against all the odds. Human can never know the Time between the Beginning and the End.
We were offered the Sanctuary of Spirit. We were given the Imagination to Feel God with us, and realize the Truth.
Faith is a Sacred Choice. Sanctuary defines the boundaries of our experience. Reed can turn sparks into a full-blown Fire for what our Heart longs to Know. In Humility we could see the moment is an interesting twist in the storyline. If there’s a Time and Place when we knew we were exactly where we were supposed to be, then all the time Before, and by Faith, After.
It’s our Choice to call upon the Holy Spirit to go before and behind us in humility of our disbelief. Our Divine Father will pull us through it.
love, in lak’ech, “i am an “other” you”

GRATITUDE: THE MAGIC POWER OF CREATION
I’m grateful that God is plain about what we’re expected to do. We obey, or we burn for it – for our highest good.
THE TRECENA OF DOG/OC: CREATING BONDS OF LOVE
Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time.
NEW SEASON – VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020)
NOTE: Use the Kin Calculator offered on the Daykeeper’s Resource Page for a Mayan date six years before or after. If you are just starting to count the days and don’t have a journal from the last round, calculate the Mayan date of major events that you do remember. You can also look for Signs in the “duration of time.” Example – 33 days is a symbol of a day that you actualize the Truth from the beginning date. You can calculate the meaning of the day 33 after you realized a Truth to consider the lesson that was turned to Divine Wisdom. Life is a game of higher dimensions.
4 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed I’hya) – Day 4 of 13 of the 1 Dog/OC trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Free Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony, and order to all of their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, many have marriage or business problems because of inflexible views and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson of Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe.
A GOOD DAY TO: Bless and repair the home.
Cherokee Cherokee, Reed I’hya: Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
