Greetings Beloved Kin,
9 Dog/OC guides us to stand back to behold the Perfect Creation of Love. There is suffering to bear when we fail to take this step when every creation is “finished” for the lack of Divine Inspiration.
God is Love and Dog/OC is the perfect demonstration of a treasure the engages our Heart. The Dog is faithful and loyal beyond death. Unconditional Love gathers our Heart to heaven on Earth.
Holding the Position 10, Dog reflects the Master’s Love. The beauty of Love shines through every expression and warms our Heart. When we Love one another and all living things, we engage a never-ending source that was manifested by the Creator’s Hand.
9 is the Symbol of 3 x 3, the Holy of Holies, and a Creation that is “finished.” We are invested to the Nth degree when we are willing to look back at the end of the day and take inventory of our Intentions to find more and better ways to express our Love in everything we do.
Love isn’t accomplished through an Act of Service, unless Love is invested from the beginning to the end. We’re not doing anyone any “favors” unless we Choose to be present with Love. When we give, we receive. Loving is an end in itself when there are no conditions. We can feel the difference. We’re at peace in the presence of Unconditional Love.
Love was overflowing in the Eagle’s nest this weekend. The little ones express their love and admiration of one another. Jacking and Shadow are raising a loving family. Shadow came home with big sticks to do some home improvements. Then, the eaglets “played house” arranging sticks after Dad left the nest. They clearly looked up to him. And, Mom takes the night shift covering them under her wings.
Today we’re called to open our Heart to the bittersweet experience of Love that in its beauty can bring us to tears. May we Love one another with Compassion for the Time it can take and the “hard roads” we have to travel in search of a blessing the Creator sealed in our Heart. There’s love waiting to be seen and felt in all of God’s Creation, if we’ll only use Time for its Highest Purpose. If Love is what we’re seeking, we’ll always find it. When we embrace it, nothing else matters.
1 John 4:18 KJV
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
There is only fear when we want something else in return. Love is more than enough to make us happy. Love never returns empty. Worldly possessions can’t fill the space in our heart. Love isn’t free. Unconditional Love is realized through patience and understanding. It’s not the Gift the dog brings home, but the Light in the Eyes of the one who shared what they saw as a treasure.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

9 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI) – Day 9 of 13 of the 1 Wind/IK trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.
A GOOD DAY TO: Enjoy family and friends.
Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time. Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots. All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance. Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential. Wolf is the Day Sign of teachers, healers, pathfinders and transformers; sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb. OC-Totem –Dog: Loyalty and faithfulness that survives beyond death. This was the first day of creation energy in this 4th world, sets the energy for love, loyalty and faithfulness on the 5200 year cycle. Heart chakra energy is involved so that we can move to the state of “unconditional love” with compassion. All sexual desire issues that are not in harmony will surface to be cleared.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
