Light that Over-Flows
SPACEWEATHER.COM NEWS: 04/10/2025
PLASMA FALLS: Imagine a waterfall made of hot plasma falling from a precipice tall enough to swallow Earth.
“Another cloud-free day in Scotland let me catch almost 9 hours of this huge and lively prominence,” says David Wilson of Inverness. Into his video, he inserted a picture of Earth to demonstrate the scale of “plasma droplets” falling to the surface of the sun.
These droplets and streamers have been seen on the sun many times before, but researchers still don’t fully understand them. The mystery is this: The sun’s plasma droplets fall faster than ambient magnetic forces wold seem to allow. Nuclear engineers would like to figure out how this happens, because it also happens on a smaller scale in fusion reactors on Earth, frustrating their efforts to sustain an energy-producing reaction. Studies of these prominences could lead to practical breakthroughs here on Earth.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH (G1): NOAA forecasters say that minor G1-class geomagnetic storms are possible on April 11th when a CME is expected to graze Earth’s magntic field. The CME was hurled into space by an erupting solar filament on April 8th. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras mixed with nearly-full moonlight.

EFFECTS OF SOLAR PROMINENCES: Solar prominences, though visually striking, don’t directly impact Earth in the same way as solar flares or coronal mass ejections. However, they can be precursors to these events and indirectly contribute to space weather effects. Specifically, prominences can be associated with magnetic field changes that can lead to solar flares and coronal mass ejections, which can then disrupt Earth’s magnetosphere and atmosphere. (Google)
COMET SWAN CONTINUES TO BRIGHTEN: More than a week after its discovery, Comet SWAN finally has an official name: C/2025 F2 (SWAN). On April 1st, amateur astronomer Michael Mattiazzo found the comet in images from SOHO’s SWAN camera; then, on April 6th, he photographed it himself:

“I took this picture using a remote 0.5 meter telescope in Utah,” says Mattiazzo. “At the time, Comet SWAN had a total magnitude of +9.6.”
Since then, the comet has more than doubled in brightness. If current trends hold, it could brighten to magnitude +5 or +6 when it approaches the sun for a close encounter inside the orbit of Mercury on May 1st. That would make it an easy binocular object and possibly even visible to the naked eye. Stay tuned!

Mayan Time
12 Reed/BEN is the Day of Understanding, Comprehension of the Truth and knowing what it means. Reed/BEN is the channel for Communion with the Holy Spirit. BEN is the Light that guides us to the table where everyone belongs – the altar in a Sanctuary within where we learn to love our Self and “the other” as we Love our Self.

The 13 days of this trecena are governed by the elemental intent of the divine Whirlwind: to create chaos out of order. Order and reason outlive their purpose and must be replaced by the potential for new, unexpected, unpredictable, change. It is precisely in the heart of order that the lightning bolt strikes. These are 13 days of instability and insecurity. The warrior prefers to have no relationships if the only alternative is to have bad relationships: thievery abounds and no treasure of the heart is safe. These are good days to be in the vanguard; bad days to be encamped behind the front. Aztec Calendar

12 Reed/BEN (Cherokee, Reed/ I’HYA) – Day 12 of 13 of the 1 Wind/IK trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability, of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.
Reed/BEN: Reed persons are the spiritual essence, protectors and guiding light for family and home. They are competent speakers who will take up a cause. Very tough and analytical, Reeds endeavor to bring peace, harmony and order to all o their relations. Reeds are blessed with great skill at negotiations and consoling which are very often put to the test. Although Reeds need a lot of appreciation, may have marriage or business problems because of inflexible vies and high expectations, which erode affinity. The lesson for Reed is to be like a garden hose, not a steel pipe. Bless or repair your house.
A GOOD DAY TO: Bless and repair your house.
Cherokee, Reed/I’HYA: REED- Symbol-Reed is the Earth, reflection of the Star Chaga of Pollux. Reed made up the Magician Twins who led the journey to bring back to life the daughter of the Sun. The Casket is Gemini. Energy for Intellectual minds, creation, re-creation, new directions, breaking the ties that bind. A trailblazer and leader. From the East, direction of success and happiness, no matter what route is taken, always ending up in the Light.
