SPACEWEATHER: Miyake Events that Trees Remember

Ancient Wisdom Shared by Trees

TREES REMEMBER AN ICE AGE SOLAR STORM: More than 14 thousand years ago, there was a solar storm so big, trees still remember it. Dwarfing modern solar storms, the event would devastate technology if it happened again today. Spoiler alert: It could.

The record-strong storm is described by a paper in the upcoming July 2025 edition of the peer-reviewed journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters. It occured in 12,350 BC and is classified as a “Miyake Event.”

Miyake Events are solar storms that make the Carrington Event of 1859 look puny. Trees “remember” them in their rings, which store the carbon-14 created by gargantuan storms. At least six Miyake Events have been discovered and confirmed since Fusa Miyake found the first one in 2012. The list so far includes 664-663 BC, 774 AD, 993 AD, 5259 BC, 7176 BC, and 12,350 BC.

The Miyake Event of 12,350 BC is especially intriguing. It appears as a carbon-14 spike in Scots Pine trees along the banks of the Drouzet river in France, with a matching beryllium-10 spike in Greenland ice cores. The event was global and, based on the size of the spikes, very big.

At first, no one could say how big the storm was because it happened during the Ice Age.

Carbon-14 storage is complicated. When a solar storm creates carbon-14 in the upper atmosphere, the radioisotope doesn’t immediately appear in the woody flesh of trees. Getting there involves months to years of atmospheric circulation influenced by climate and geography, and even then the carbon-14 has to arrive during the tree’s growing season, otherwise it won’t be “taken up.” High-altitude trees are favored because they encounter the carbon-14 first, while different species each have their own sensitivity.

All these factors are a harder to tease out in the Ice Age. Most known Miyake Events occurred after the Ice Age, during the Holocene, a period of relatively stable and warm climate starting about 12,000 years ago. Climate scientists have atmospheric circulation models for the Holocene, so interpreting Miyake Events in 7176 BC, 5259 BC, 664-663 BC, 993 AD, 774 AD was relatively straightforward. Not so, the event of 12,350 BC.

To solve this problem, Kseniia Golubenko and Ilya Usoskin from the University of Oulu in Finland developed a chemistry-climate model (SOCOL:14C-Ex) specifically for Ice Age solar storms. It takes into account ice sheet boundaries, sea levels, and geomagnetic fields that existed during the Pleistocene’s Late Glacial period. Using this model, they were able to interpret tree ring data for 12,350 BC.

According to their paper, 12,350 BC is the biggest Miyake Event yet.  It produced a hailstorm of solar particles 500 times greater than the most intense solar particle storm recorded by modern satellites in 2005. During the 2005 event, an airline passenger flying over the poles might have received a year’s worth of sea-level cosmic radiation in just one hour. During the 12350 BC event, the same dose would have been received in a mere eight seconds.

This would seem to set a new standard for worst-case scenarios in space weather. However, the real news is deeper: The door to the Ice Age has been kicked open by SOCOL:14C-Ex. Older tree rings may now be interpreted with confidence, potentially revealing even worse storms.

Stay tuned for more news from the trees.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH: Minor G1-class geomagnetic storms are possible on May 23rd when a CME might deliver a glancing blow to Earth’s magnetic field. A miss is just as likely as a hit, so this is an uncertain forecast.

Mayan Calendar and the Wisdom of Time

3 Wisdom/CIB sets the Intention for Movement and “the work” of applying the Truth to manifest the Wisdom of our own experience. The way begins in acceptance of the Truth that we don’t know everything there is to know, while we apply the Truth we do know. CIB’s totem Owl represents the intention of a Great Hunter that seeks the Truth beyond the illusions of the world. If a Miyake Event happened before, it can happen again. “Spoiler alert: It could.”

Recorded Miyake Events:
Miyake Events occurred in 12,350 BC, 7176 BC, 5259 BC, 993 BC, 664-663 BC, and 774 AD. If my count of years is in the correct chronological order, the duration between events from 12,350 BC to 7176 BC is 5,174 years from the first, 1,973 years from 7176 BC to 5259 BC, 329 years from 993 BC to 664 BC, and 2,689 years in 2025 AD since 664 BC (ie. 2025 AD + 664 BC). In total, Miyake Events have been “happening again” for 14,375 years. By Mayan count a Human era as 13 baktuns of 144,000 Days, about 5,200 years. Miyake Events have happened during 2 human eras since the first, and have yet to occur in our 3rd Human era of Time.

Murphy’s Law states that if a catastrophe is possible, the odds are, it will happen. We are seeing the signs of catastrophic change in everything we believed the truth to be. It’s “normal” for us to feel the effects of chaos on a Major Scale. And, there’s an answer when we apply Faith in the Word and a Power above all Powers.

Faith is the means to Accept the Truth and carry on. One of my old tricks I intend to apply again is to imagine the “worst that could happen,” then accept that God will always be there, and remember God never fails.

A Vision Quest is a choice to silence our fears through an Intention to comprehend the Power of the Holy Spirit that can share Supernatural Faith. We could cower to the fears the evil uses to destroy our Faith, or we could apply the courage to surrender. “Bring it on. God will carry us beyond all fear of the future.” God created Human’s capacity for Faith. There is Power in the Word, and Power in the Name to overcome the doubts and fears cast by evil.

Fear has been “normalized” by our Time and Place. God brings us to our knees when he’s our Only Hope.

Trees are living calendars that counted Time before Human calendars were created. God made them that way for a Good reason. To share their Wisdom, trees carried on, and Life carried on long enough to see the Truth in our Time and Place.

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.

A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.

Cherokee, Owl/U’GUKU’  O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes.  Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear.  Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative.  Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
