Mayan New Year, Waxajquib (8) B’aatz (8 Monkey/CHUEN)

A Communion of Saints

The New Year of Human’s calendar is a celebration of Time and the Light of Humanity and the Powers of Creation. Monkey/CHUEN is the symbol of Human’s Gift of Consciousness and the Inspiration to Create the Beauty of Love.

The New Year is the Day of Initiation for the Mayan Calendar Daykeepers. All Daykeepers commit to Counting the Days on the same Day (8 Monkey/CHUEN).  It’s an opportunity to share the experience of both the Days and the Duration of Time in Divine Trinity.

Monkey/CHUEN holds the Position of Master Number 11, a symbol of the Source and Substance of Divine Inspiration. We celebrate the Light of Creation. 11:11 is a Wake-up Call or Code of Divine Activation.

This is a Day to honor our constant companions, the “lord of every Day.” Each Day of Human’s calendar offers a perspective from a Divine Point of View.  Every point of view holds a Divine Purpose.

Greetings Beloved Kin,

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8′ B’aatz)

8 B’aatz (Monkey/CHUEN) is a Hero’s return and a Celebration of the Light of Humanity. Human’s orbit is based on our gestation cycle of 260 days. The calendars reveal Human’s “migration” of Consciousness from the beginning of our First Cell. Every 260 days we end a “time of life” and begin a new one.

The Mayan New Year is the most celebrated Mayan Holy Day by both the North and South traditions. Prayers are offered by the Mayan priest on behalf of the Whole that call out every Day by Name, including your Mayan birthday.

The Mayan New Year Page offers traditional ways of the sacred ceremony. There is Power in the ritual of prayer. We remember an experience of prayer when we do more than carry out silent prayers in our head. We create the Sound and Vibration of the Intention to create Time that is sacred.

By the Power of the Holy Spirit we can Initiate our new journey. God honors our own way.

Tone 8 is the Zenith Hour. Truth is brought to Light for the Intention of Divine Justice. 8 is the symbol of eternal life. The New Year is an event of Divine Trinity among the whole.

By Mayan cosmology, the Saints are brought to life in a living body of Consciousness when we Remember. This is a Day to remember the Saints and one another for the Light of God within.

Mayan Number 8, “WAXAJQIB” (wah shah h’ keeb), means “pure Spirit.” We celebrate the Identity of Human’s Spirit that transcends Time and Place.  We can be One with the ceremonies carried out in the Maya lands by lightning a candle and raising our prayers on behalf of the whole. Tomorrow, 9 Road/EB, we begin a New Chapter on the Road to our Divine Destiny.

1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Happy Maya New Year, WAXAJQIB B’AATZ (8 Monkey/CHUEN)

Prayers for Love in the Overflow in gratitude for your Light.

in lak’ech, i am another you

Saint Jude became my patron saint on the Mayan New Year, November 30, 2022. I was celebrating at an empty dining room table, I’d imagined would be a gathering place. Saint Jude showed up in the midst of the celebration when the mailman delivered an envelope from Saint Jude Shrine, “Believe in Miracles” written on the outside. Inside I found that Saint Jude is the patron saint of “things despaired of” for support in times of tribulation and suffering.

Learning the rosary to Saint Jude has been a new blessing in my dedicated time of prayer. (Another Spiritual Tool is repeating the Lord’s Prayer 3 times. The experience of it changes with repetition.) Saint Jude was Jesus’ first disciple.

TRECENA OF SEED/KAN: THE FACTS OF LIFE

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

It only takes 13 days to see how Faith is always raised to Knowing the Truth of Answered Prayers. You only have to track your thoughts. Record the matters on your mind in a journal to see how your perspective is changed by a Divine Order of Thoughts.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

Seed/KAN is the second trecena in the 3rd Season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 2.

NOTE: Tone 1 reflects the 1st Light of Divine Inspiration as the “legend” of this chapter of Time. If you forget where you are, return to Tone 1 to see the “First Light” of Divine Inspiration. You can use the Tzolk’in calculator to gain insight on any date in the future or the past.

8 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI) – Day 8  of 13 of the 1 Seed/KAN trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Free Calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 8:  Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

A GOOD DAY TO: Begin anything new in your life.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
