Signs and Symbols of Waxajquib B’aatz

Happy Maya New Year, WAXAJQIB B’AATZ (8 B’atz)

Happy New Year. You are the sweetest things on my altar this New Year, all the little circles of you and all the colors of the sprinkles that make a doughnut even more sweet. I found a gardenia as my first flower plant for the balcony – my favorite smell. The finch are starting to gather. Last year they came when it was time for the babies to fledge. Someone up there in the nest is about to start a new life too and find out they can fly.

Much Love, Prayers, and Wishes for another Divine Beginning

Greetings Kin,

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B’aatz) is celebrated as the New Year in the Quiche/K’iche Maya tradition. On 8 Monkey/CHUEN we receive the Divine Justice that is due to those who count the days as Sacred. This New Year is the Homecoming from a journey of Creation.

In our own climbs to this Time and Place, we re-imagined what a New Seed of our Self could be. Then, we imagined the kind of world we would intend to leave to a new generation. The Monkey/CHUEN trecena inspired the Dream of our Creation. The Seed/KAN trecena offered us the first Experience of it. The Monkey intended us to Know that we Create our own Reality.

We create from the Heart. When our Heart feels the Creator’s Unconditional Love, Human is capable of manifesting its Highest Aspirations. On this New Year, we Identify our Self as a Creator. We Believe in the Truth that will change our future.

On WAXAJQIB B’AATZ the Mayan priest observes the Sacred Fire Ceremony. Daykeepers who completed their instruction and made the journey to all the altars are called forward for an Initiation of Spirit. The Elders traditionally offer the Daykeeper the bag of 260 Sacred Red Beans. The Mayan priest leads the Count of Days. The Quiche Maya begin with 1 Monkey/CHUEN. First the Blessing is given to the Direction, and to the Element of Chuen – Water than holds the Ether of Spirit. The count proceeds, 1 Monkey/CHUEN, 2 Monkey/CHUEN, 3 Monkey/CHUEN… completing the Blessings for each of the 20 Day Signs, and the Count of their Kin.

In the Count of Days, every Human’s Destiny is spoken by Name. And, in the Count we each hear our Own Name Called for the Blessing. On 8 Monkey/CHUEN we receive the Divine Justice that is due to the Creators of Love. Honoring the 260-days of the Tzolk’in, Human’s Intentions of Creation and all our ways of being, we WERE Honoring one another.

8 Monkey / CHUEN – Journey of Realization: Day 8 of 13

Happy Maya New Year, WAXAJQIB B’AATZ (8 B’atz)

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

8 Monkey/CHUEN (2015) dmalmos

Greetings Kin,

8 Monkey/CHUEN (8 B’aatz) is celebrated as the New Year in the K’iche Maya tradition. This is a day for celebrating the Sacred Calendar of the Human and the 260 Kin who guide us through the process of Transformation.

Tone 8 holds the Intention of the Justice of Harmony and Equity. Today we are recognized for the journey of transformation that we Chose to make. Today is a Holy Day that honors the Intention of Divine Consciousness. Human is Sacred to the Creator for the journey we must make through the darkness, the only way for Human to Know the Light. We are Divine in the Choice made of our own Free Will to seek to be One with the Consciousness of the Creator. A relationship with Human was the Creator’s Dream. Our Choice to pursue it is a Sacred Offering.

DAY PORTAL, DAY 6: Element of Ether
Portal Days magnify our supernatural experiences through a thinning of the veil to the realm of Spirit. On 8 Monkey/CHUEN a portal magnifies the experience of our transformation. Through a gift of “pure spirit” we can realize the Truth of our Power to transform our lives into an experience of Happiness, Harmony, and Love. By Divine Intervention, we can realize Unconditional Love as our own Power to Create.

Master Number 88: The 8th Tone and 8th Uinal represent the Master Number 88. Number 88 is a powerful number as it is made up of the energies of the number 8, doubled and amplified. Number 8 carries the vibrations and attributes of patience, practicality and dependability, personal authority and power, discernment and good judgement, ambition and potential, business acumen, finding success and manifesting wealth and abundance, self-discipline and responsibility, inner-wisdom, justice and Karma – the Universal Spiritual Law of Cause and Effect. Angel Number 88 is a powerful vibration telling of achievements, success, striving forward, progress and attainment. This is the day of reward. 88 is a symbol of great prosperity, now and in the future, and Karma re-paid in kind. It marks a conclusion to an emotional, career, or relationship phase in your life. 7 Dog/OC – Journey of Dynamic Consciousness

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

7 Dog/OC

7 Dog/OC

Greetings Kin,

The Seed/KAN trecena is leading us to an awakening to ourselves and our own forces of nature. The cycle of 10 Portal Days bears evidence we’re being led to a major transformation. Muluc called us to recognize and honor our feelings so we are opened to hear the language of our Body.

Our loving companion, Dog/OC, is highly capable to teach us about our feelings. We have a special relationship with the creatures we love that can’t talk back. Perhaps their most important purpose is bearing proof of a language without words. Dog is the totem that is said to be our companion even beyond death.

The peak Tone 7 calls for our reflection on who and what we are to discover our purpose of Being as Dog/OC opens our Hearts.

GREEN DAY: Today is the fifth of 10 consecutive “Galactic Activation Portals” that magnify our conscious awareness, so that we may “feel” things more clearly.

THE TRECENA OF SEED/KAN

7 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI ), Kin 150

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.

Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time.  Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots.  Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.

Seed/KAN Trecena: Galactic Portal DaysGREEN DAY: Today is Kin 150, the fifth of 10 consecutive “Galactic Activation Portals” that will magnify our experiences. This is a thinning of the veil, that remains open for 10 consecutive days. The trecena of Seed/KAN has the power to bring forward the conscious awareness of the inherent power of Spirit through the 5th Element of Ether.

DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

Journey of Dynamic Consciousness: Day 7

We can learn the language of the body by paying attention to things it tells us every day. We already know the feeling of the body calling for water, and the gratitude expressed when it’s satisfied. We can explore our feelings as a conscious communication.

Dog and Monkey are God’s two creations most adept at expressing themselves. No words are needed to understand Dog when you come in the front door. Maybe it’s because of the way they express themselves that we form such close relationships. All our pets bring our attention to Love. Just thinking about the stuff dogs do can trigger a response from the Heart. Dog/OC helps us understand that the language of Spirit is a Language of the Heart.

Tone 7 is the peak of the pyramid providing us with the highest proximity to God. Dog/OC opens our hearts so we might understand the purpose of our Being. The answer will come in a language without words.

To all my relations, we experience our highest states of being when we open our Hearts. It’s in our Human Nature to respond to unconditional love. May we be open to a new experience of Body and Soul as we feel God’s Gift of Love.
