Within the Seed: The Kingdom of Light (4 Deer/MANIK)

The Communion of Spirits

Hebrews 12:1-2 KJV
12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The New Year, 8 Monkey/CHUEN, W 8 B’aatz is a Day of Initiation for those who choose to dedicate a hand in service for the next 260 Days of the Human calendar round. One round is long enough to see the synchronicity of Time and the Truth that every Day holds a Divine Meaning and Purpose. We are always changed by Time we dedicated to the Lord of our Creation.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

Ajq’ij (ahk-KEEH) is the well-known Mayan term for a daykeeper, adopted from the K’iche’ tradition.

  • Aj: Indicates the person who holds authority or is in charge of something.
  • Q’ij: Means “day,” “sun,” or “light”. (Ajq’ijab’ is the plural form.)

The literal translation is “counter of the days” or “one who holds authority of the day”. Ajq’ij is the Watchman who answers to the Lord of All Creation. The Savior is the Humble servant who demonstrates the Truth and the Way.

The commitment of 260 Days, begins 8 Monkey/CHUEN, June 22, 2026. The Elders say that 4 Days of Sacred Ceremony will change your life. Beginning today, we have 4 Days to consider the choice. Daykeepers are born into service on the same Day.

Greetings Beloved Kin,

Deer/MANIK is a stabilizing Force and Tone 4 holds the Intention of Stability. We are stabilizing our Faith in Creator’s Divine Plan. The only way evil can create doubts and fears is when we forget.

Deer/MANIK demonstrates the Way to Remember through a dedicated daily  practice to call upon Divine Agency in prayer.

MANIK holds a Power of Harmonic Resonance. Lower vibrations are drawn into sympathy at the Sound. The glyph illustrates the Hand that grasps the thread of plasma that completes a circuit to Divine Powers Above.

On Tone 4 we establish “the rules of a game”. We set an Intention for the thoughts we will follow, and the ones we will turn away.

The Deer is the giver of Spiritual Tools. The Staff is the symbol of the One Truth we will stand on. The Deer stands on a Divine Provision for every Human limitation.

The Christian Calendar Daily Words

Wednesday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary Time, Lectionary: 367

Reading 1, 2 Kings 2:1, 6-14

When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind,
he and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal.
Elijah said to Elisha, “Please stay here;
the LORD has sent me on to the Jordan.”
“As the LORD lives, and as you yourself live,
I will not leave you,” Elisha replied.
And so the two went on together.
Fifty of the guild prophets followed and
when the two stopped at the Jordan,
they stood facing them at a distance.
Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up
and struck the water, which divided,
and both crossed over on dry ground.

When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha,
“Ask for whatever I may do for you, before I am taken from you.”
Elisha answered, “May I receive a double portion of your spirit.”
“You have asked something that is not easy,” Elijah replied.
“Still, if you see me taken up from you,
your wish will be granted; otherwise not.”
As they walked on conversing,
a flaming chariot and flaming horses came between them,
and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.
When Elisha saw it happen he cried out,
“My father! my father! Israel’s chariots and drivers!”
But when he could no longer see him,
Elisha gripped his own garment and tore it in two.

Then he picked up Elijah’s mantle that had fallen from him,
and went back and stood at the bank of the Jordan.
Wielding the mantle that had fallen from Elijah,
Elisha struck the water in his turn and said,
“Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?”
When Elisha struck the water it divided and he crossed over.

NOTE: Elijah’s mantle is the physical cloak worn by the Old Testament prophet Elijah. Metaphorically, it represents the passing of spiritual authority, divine anointing, and leadership from one generation or mentor to the next.

Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 31:20, 21, 24

R. Let your hearts take comfort, all who hope in the Lord.
How great is the goodness, O LORD,
which you have in store for those who fear you,
And which, toward those who take refuge in you,
you show in the sight of the children of men.
R. Let your hearts take comfort, all who hope in the Lord.
You hide them in the shelter of your presence
from the plottings of men;
You screen them within your abode
from the strife of tongues.
R. Let your hearts take comfort, all who hope in the Lord.
Love the LORD, all you his faithful ones!
The LORD keeps those who are constant,
but more than requites those who act proudly.
R. Let your hearts take comfort, all who hope in the Lord.

Alleluia, John 14:23

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him
and we will come to him.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Through a Daily Practice we Receive the Comfort of the Lord. Elisha was called by Elijah to join a Great Cloud of Witnesses Above and Below.

love, in lak’ech, “i am another you”

PRAYERS FROM THE SECOND WATCH – INTERCESSORY PRAYER

The next time you’re drawn to Pray, refer to the 8 Watches by the Time of Day, AFTER. The Bible refers to Watchers from Above (‘iyr in Hebrew) in Daniel 4:13, 17, 23. We’re called to our prayers by high-ranking angelic beings sent from heaven to observe and execute divine decrees. You may find synchronicity in your prayers.

THE EIGHT WATCHES

Night Watch

  • First Watch: 6 pm – 9 pm – Contemplation and laying foundations in prayer.
  • Second Watch: 9 pm – 12 am – Intercessory prayer for protection of ourselves and those around us
  • Third Watch: 12 am – 3 am – Spiritual warfare (We are covered by the blood of Jesus.)
  • Fourth Watch: 3 am – 6 am – Prophetic prayer because you are commanding your morning with prophetic decrees and declaring God’s word

Day Watch

  • Fifth Watch: 6 am – 9 am – Petitions. Ask for strength and surrender. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you before you start your day
  • Sixth Watch: 9 am – 12 pm – Thanksgiving prayer (on behalf of the whole)
  • Seventh Watch : 12 pm – 3 pm – This is the seventh watch of rest. 7 Biblically represents that. This is a time to seek God in the secret place
  • Eighth Watch: 3 pm – 6 pm – This is the eight and final watch of the night and a time for prayer for revival and renewal. Symbolically, Christ died at 3 pm.

Mark 13:33 KJV
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

4 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi) – Day 4 of 13 of the 1 Seed/KAN trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Free Calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Ability to create harmonic resonance.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
