THE TRECENA OF SEED/KAN: A DREAM OF OUR CREATION
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 holds an Intention of Stability. Tone 4 is represented by the cube, the most stable of all forms. The boundaries and parameters define the dimension and area. On Tone 4 we stabilize an Intention by establishing the “rules of the game” and a boundary of thoughts.
The 13 Tones of Creation are Inherent thoughts written within. From the micro to the macro they are the same on every scale and cycle of Time. The Intentions of the Tones are Common thoughts of Creation ordered by the Hours of Light. The Maya count 12 hours of daylight from 5AM to 5PM. The 13th Tone/Hour is the Ascension into our Dreams.
The Elders say that to “know thyself” we have to “track the mind.” That’s the only way to Know our Divine Design as a channel for the Creator’s Unconditional Love. What is Common, shared in Harmony and Equity, reflects an element of our Divine Design.
We wake in Unity on Tone 1 with Divine Inspiration. With every Sunrise we see the possibility to create a new life. In the 2nd Hour, we engage the thoughts of Duality, comparing what we did yesterday to what we might do today. By the 3rd Hour we find a reason and a plan to move.
In the 4th Hour, the Maya surveyed the field of corn to measure a task at hand. On Tone 4 we’re inclined to figure out an approach, the priorities, and the “rules of the game.” For the Creation of Higher Consciousness we define the boundaries and parameters of our thoughts. By setting an Intention we give our mind something to remember.
The Intention of Stability is magnified by the Day Sign Deer/MANIK, the nahaul with 4 legs with 1 foot planted in each of the 4 directions. Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest, one that holds the Spiritual Tools and employs them on behalf of the Whole. The Deer’s most-used Spiritual Tool is Vigilant Consciousness. MANIK stands on the Integrity of its own Truth in silence, without demanding agreement. The Deer leads by attraction, holding a Gift of Harmonic Resonance. Connected to the Creator’s Love, others naturally follow. When the Mayan priest carries out the rituals and sacred ceremonies for the community, others see and remember to offer their own prayers.
The glyph illustrates a Hand, another name for MANIK. The forefinger and thumb are shown grasping a thread of ether that completes a circuit of Divine Power Above. Humanity was created to serve as the Hand of God. To grasp the Power Above, the Deer guides us to a dedicated daily practice, a path of Vigilant Consciousness that leads to an altar.
