An Offering: The Loyalty of the Creator’s Love (2 Dog/OC)

“Sirius: The Brightest Star Explained” (Source: StarWalk)

The Star Brighter than the Sun

Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. While the Sun is appears to be brighter, its closer position to Earth accounts for its higher apparent magnitude.  Sirius has a much higher intrinsic luminosity, about 25 times more luminous than our Sun. The sun is about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) from Earth. Sirius is about 50.5 trillion miles (81.3 trillion kilometers) away.

As seen through a telescope the Dog Star) is a dazzling point of bluish-white light. Sirius never resolves into a disk as seen through Earth’s atmosphere. It twinkles like a diamond in mesmerizing flashes of multiple vivid colors (reds, blues, and greens).

Sirius holds legendary significance across many cultures, associated Sirius as “star of our heart” due to its prominence and symbolic meaning. Ancient Egyptians linked it to the Nile’s flood and Greeks called it the “Dog Star”.

The Dog was called “man’s best friend” for its loyalty and protective instincts. The Dog has long served as a guardian of home, family, and personal safety. By its loyalty beyond death, the Dog is said to lead the way home beyond the stars… gathering souls to heaven. Unconditional Love is the Dog’s Way home.

THE TRECENA OF OFFERING/MULUC: THE SACRED EXCHANGE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
2 Dog/OC (ah k), Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI, Destiny Kin 210, Position 10
August 20, 2026, 08/20/2026; Times Before: 12/03/2025, 03/18/2025, 07/01/2024, 10/15/2023

Dear Beloved Kin,

Sirius is the Sign of the Lion’s Gate in its helical rising above the Earth’s horizon. Dog/OC holds Position 10, the Master’s Number, shining the Brightest Light of Unconditional Love.

The Dog takes advantage of every opportunity to share the offering. It doesn’t hold a grudge when its turned way. It merely moves on to the next opportunity, knowing the Offering of Love will be seen another day.

Tone 2 raises Human’s Question, “to be or not to be”. There is no question that the Dog remembers its way back home.

The Creator doesn’t force and Offering of Love. When we need to know a Love that’s True, the Unconditional Love of a Savior will be standing by. Those who Love the Lord shall find their way back home, drawn by Love that was willing to wait a lifetime for us to reach in Faith for the Creator’s Love.

Human is unwilling to wait for what the world tells us we must have here and now. So, we still wait a lifetime to know the experience of Unconditional Love.

The trecena of Offering/MULUC is an Offering of Love that is Here and Now. It’s Time to Give Back and Pay Forward to the One who’s Love was always True. We don’t always appreciate the “gifts the Dog brings home”, though the Intention is clear by the Light shining in its eyes. How many times would you be turned away before you gave up Love?

Love is being Seen and Acknowledged. When we forgive we acknowledge the intrinsic value of another is greater than their latest failure. When we long to be forgiven by someone we Love, we thank God for another chance.

When our emotions are stirred up we gain our equilibrium quickly when there’s Dog by our side. The Lord’s Love will see us through the good and the bad days. What’s the point of Love if there’s no one to turn to on our darkest days?

Our vision is clouded by our resentments. We filter out the Truth of Love when we are trying to defend our position.

The Sacrifice of Love is letting go of the Ego’s determination to be right. Where Love is the Truth, when we admit we were wrong the “other” will go along and say, “I’m sorry too.”

Love is the Lord’s most dazzling creation. It’s hard to see through the cloudy nights when it becomes “everyday”. Angels sing every time we make the Offering to the Lord of Lord and King of Kings.

We don’t need to hear “I Love You” every day. The service of Love speaks louder than words. Through the beauty of Creation the Lord is directing our eyes to see he will always be there. The Book of Lamentations is an expression of the Heart’s cry for Love.

Lamentations: 3:20-26
20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

The Lord waits for us. Waiting on the Lord is an opportunity to Give Back the Love that waits a lifetime for us. May our heart rejoice in the opportunity for the Sacred Exchange of Love without Conditions.

love, in lak’ech, i am another you

The Jewish month of Elul: The King is in the Field

Chabad.org Daily Schedule – Prayers and Psalms for Thursday, 7 Elul, 5786
August 20, 2026

Jewish History: Moses’ parents remarry (1394 BCE)
Amram and Jocheved had separated because of Pharaoh’s decree that all male Jewish babies be killed. Prompted by their six-year-old daughter Miriam’s rebuke (“Pharaoh decreed against the males; you decreed against the males and the females”) they remarried on the 7th of Elul of the year 2367 from creation (1394 BCE). Moses was born six months and one day later on Adar 7, 2368 (Talmud, Sotah 12b).

As the last month of the Jewish year, Elul is traditionally a time of introspection and stocktaking — a time to review one’s deeds and spiritual progress over the past year and prepare for the upcoming “Days of Awe” of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.

Specific Elul customs include the daily sounding of the shofar (ram’s horn) as a call to repentance. The 27th chapter of Psalms is recited every Day. Three additional chapters of Psalms are also recited each day, from the 1st of Elul until Yom Kippur, thereby completing the entire book of Psalms).

PRAYERS FROM THE EIGHTH WATCH – The eight and final watch of the night (3:00 pm-6:00 pm). By Jewish time the new day begins at sundown. The 8th watch is time to pray for revival and renewal. Symbolically, Christ died at 3 pm.

The Bible refers to Watchers from Above (‘iyr in Hebrew) in Daniel 4:13, 17, 23. We are called to our prayers by high-ranking angelic beings sent from heaven to observe and execute divine decrees. Take note of the Time when you are inspired to turn to the Lord.

THE EIGHT WATCHES

Night Watch

First Watch: 6 pm – 9 pm – Contemplation and laying foundations in prayer.
Second Watch: 9 pm – 12 am – Intercessory prayer for protection of ourselves and those around us
Third Watch: 12 am – 3 am – Spiritual warfare
Fourth Watch: 3 am – 6 am – Prophetic prayer because you are commanding your morning with prophetic decrees and declaring God’s word

Day Watch

Fifth Watch: 6 am – 9 am – Petitions. Ask for strength and surrender. Ask for the Holy Spirit to help you before you start your day
Sixth Watch: 9 am – 12 pm – Thanksgiving prayer
Seventh Watch : 12 pm – 3 pm – This is the seventh watch of rest. 7 Biblically represents that. This is a time to seek God in the secret place
Eighth Watch: 3 pm – 6 pm – This is the eight and final watch of the night and a time for prayer for revival and renewal. Symbolically, Christ died at 3 pm.

THE SEASON OF ASCENSION: The Offering/MULUC trecena is the 2nd trecena in the 4th Season, found in VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020)

1 Offering/MULUC was the Day of Conception for Ian Xel Lungold, born 12 Sun/AHAU. This trecena is dedicated to him for the Human Understanding of Time that Ian shared with the world. I credit Ian with sharing a dedicated daily practice that led me back to my Christian faith.

2 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI) – Day 2 of 13 of the 1 Offering/MULUC trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Free Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 2: Mysterious as the question ‘to be or not to be?” Two is the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined. Walking a balance while making choices of all kinds, light/dark, male/female, good/bad, Yin/Yang, is the energy of this number. Experiencing the differences between one and another is the use and purpose of this number.

Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.

A GOOD DAY TO: Enjoy family and friends.

Cherokee, WOLF/KANA’TI: Wolf’s symbol is Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time.  Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots.  All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance.  Connecting link between the worlds. One who inspires loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.  A teacher, healer, pathfinder and transformer.  Sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb. Totem -Dog.  Loyalty and faithfulness that survives beyond death.  This was the first day of creation energy in this 4th world, sets the energy for love, loyalty and faithfulness on the 5200 year cycle.  Heart chakra energy is involved so that we can move to the state of “unconditional love” with compassion.  All sexual desire issues that are not in harmony will surface to be cleared.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
