Updated Solar Flare Activity

SOLAR FLARE ALERT 4: Earth-orbiting satellites have just detected a M3.0 class solar flare at 20-Aug-2026 at 16:11:00 UTC. More information to follow. An R1 (minor) radio blackout is possible on the sunlit side of Earth.

This morning’s alert is also updated with the image of the M8.1-Class Solar Flare from Solar Flare Alert 3. It was produced from the same newly-named Sunspot 4413 emerging from the Eastern Limb. We’ll have to wait and see if the new M3-Class Solar Flare was also produced by emerging Sunspot 4413.

Increasing Solar Flare Activity – UPDATED

Three Solar Flares of increasing intensity have been detected within the last 24 hours.

Breakdown of the Flare Classes: M1.0, M1.9, and M8.1

M1.0 Class Flare: This represents the baseline for moderate solar flares. It has the potential to cause minor, localized high-frequency radio blackouts (R1 level) on the sunlit side of Earth.
M1.9 Class Flare: Nearly twice as strong as an M1.0, this type of flare can produce a long-duration eruption. In some instances, historical long-duration M1.9 flares have been known to release Earth-directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) that generate minor to moderate (G1-G2) geomagnetic storms.
M8.1 Class Flare: A powerful, high-end M-class flare that approaches X-class intensity. Eruptions of this magnitude can produce strong solar radiation storms (S1 or higher) and can force spacecraft operators or high-frequency radio users to adapt to intermittent signal degradation. If paired with a CME, it can trigger strong (G3) geomagnetic storms resulting in visible auroras at much lower latitudes than usual.

The Conversation of the Living Word

By Jewish tradition Psalm 1 is among the first 3 chapters that was given to recite on the 1sts Day of Elul. The Word was intended to engage a conversation about the Divine Truth. We aren’t intended to “recite words”, but to engage in a Divine Communion. When we don’t understand – when the words don’t hit their mark in a human conversation, we ask what they mean before we move on. The Words are written in a divine order, but a conversation returns in any order.

I haven’t been faithful to the Daily Intention. I failed within 3 days. So, I decided to start over from the beginning – and to read for comprehension. I found the clarity for understanding for the first time in the first verse.

The Star Brighter than the Sun

Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. While the Sun appears to be brighter, its closer position to Earth accounts for its higher apparent magnitude. Sirius has a much higher intrinsic luminosity, about 25 times more luminous than our Sun. The sun is about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) from Earth. Sirius is about 50.5 trillion miles (81.3 trillion kilometers) away.

As seen through a telescope the Dog Star) is a dazzling point of bluish-white light. Sirius never resolves into a disk as seen through Earth’s atmosphere. It twinkles like a diamond in mesmerizing flashes of multiple vivid colors (reds, blues, and greens).

Sirius holds legendary significance across many cultures. They associated Sirius as the “star of our heart” due to its prominence and symbolic meaning. Ancient Egyptians linked it to the Nile’s flood and Greeks called it the “Dog Star”.

The Dog was called “man’s best friend” for its loyalty and protective instincts. The Dog has long served as a guardian of home, family, and personal safety. By its loyalty beyond death, the Dog is said to lead the way home beyond the stars… gathering souls to heaven. Unconditional Love is the Dog’s Way home.

While the Sun is much closer and therefore has a higher apparent magnitude (brighter on the scale), Sirius has a much higher intrinsic luminosity (intrinsic brightness) and is about 25 times more luminous than our Sun.

Sirius holds legendary significance across many cultures, associated with the concept of a “star of our heart” due to its prominence and symbolic meaning. Ancient Egyptians linked it to the Nile’s flood and Greeks called it the “Dog Star”.

Sirius points the way “home” to the Orion nebula, the nearest Star Nursery located under Orion’s belt. By Mayan tradition, the Dog leads the way beyond the Milky Way, “the place the Dog ran,” gathering Souls to Heaven. The Dogs’ Way home is Unconditional Love. Holding Position 10, Dog/OC resides in the Peak Position of the uinal pyramid, as the Highest Order and defining characteristic of the Lord of our Creation.
