MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 3 is the first day of Movement. An Intention takes on its own life as a vibration through the action of movement or communication. What we do or say to express our intent, draws inspiration from the realm of Spirit into the realm of physicality.
Road/EB is the Day Sign of Human and the Road of our Destiny. So was Human a manifestation from Spirit.
Human’s destiny is our journey through life. Human is known as the “bearer of time and conductor of destiny.” We must bear the time of a dynamic experience that begins in darkness and ends in the Light.
The glyph illustrates the road to our destiny on Human’s head. The dots on either side are the milestones of a journey. We must bear the time it takes to manifest our own Light. The Tzolk’in is the Calendar of the Human that marks the path to our Transformation. The Tzolk’in is acknowledged as Sacred for sharing the experiences from our beginning to our end.
Human was born to manifest a Dream of Divine Love. Our first sign of life was the sound and movement of a beating heart. Our lives were begun by the seating of a channel for Divine Communion, so our first memory could be an experience of Love. The Creator intended Love to be the experience from which we would draw our first Wisdom. Born Creators, Love would be established as our most important Purpose.
The Cherokee Day Sign the Rattlesnake Tooth is symbolized by a rainbow, a spectrum of color displayed by the electromagnetic rays of the Sun. The rainbow symbolizes an ethereal connection between the above and below that Human eyes are capable to see. So was the Rattlesnake Tooth used to leave visible evidence of the touch of the Creator’s hand. Rattlesnake Tooth is the natal Day Sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, and the Healer. In the ceremony of healing, the shaman used the Rattlesnake Tooth to break the skin to leave the mark of a Spiritual Healing. Living close to the ground, snake is a totem of life force and primal energy. Snake is a symbol of spiritual guidance awakened from our primal instincts.
Both Road/EB and the Rattlesnake Tooth communicate the importance of marking the place of a new beginning. Our transformation is a gradual process accomplished in incremental steps. With something to look back to and remember, our Road would be made easier given a way to look back to see the Truth of how far we’ve come.
Love holds the highest power for Transformation. Under a trecena led by Dog/OC, the Day Sign of Unconditional Love, we can expect a major transformation. Road/EB guides us to mark the place of the beginning of a Miracle. Making note of where we started will help us remember where we started and the power of a process that is too gradual to see.
As we begin a new Mission of Love, may our first movement be a response to the Love first shared by the Creator. May we give thanks that wherever we are and whatever challenges we face, we can hold the Truth that we were placed in perfect position to accomplish a Miracle of Love. A Creator that intended Love as our Mission chose the circumstances from which we would begin to manifest our Highest Creation of Love.
The darkness of our beginning is a thread that will lead us to the Light at the other end. We need not fear the dark that will be transformed. The degree of darkness we experience is an equal and opposite reflection of the highest light of our transformation.
The Dog/OC and Monkey/CHUEN hold an affinity of relationship. They are always found together. Together they will lead our Mission of Light. One will remind us of the Unconditional Love that extends the Choice of Free Will. The other will help us follow the threads of our experience to see the Manifestation of our Light.
Today, together, they call us to mark this place in time as the beginning of a new thread of our experience leads to an Ascension of Divine Spirit. The Light at the end of our thread is 13 Wind/IK, an Ascension marked by the sound of the Creator’s voice, and the first spoken words of the Breath of Spirit, and Breath of Life.
Dog/OC leads a Journey under the context of the Intention of the 9th uinal. Number 9 holds the intention of Patience and the Gift of Retrospection that guides us to look deep into our own experience. Nine offers us the perspective of the bigger picture. Plans and patterns are drawn toward their completion by Nine. In the 260-day Tzolk’in gestation cycle of the Human Spirit. In this harvest cycle of Human Transformation, the 9th uinal completes the process of budding. Together, Dog and Monkey will complete the evidence of new life to come. From a bud will come the blossoms that bear the fruit of a new Seed of Spirit. The 9th uinal will be concluded to reveal the evidence of a manifestation of Love that we are made capable to see and claim as our own Truth.
Under the context of the 9th uinal we are guided by an Intention to look more deeply into our own understanding. The Inspiration we receive is only the beginning of a thread that can lead us to a Higher Understanding. The 9th uinal is guided under the direction of the God of Light, Quetzalcoatl/Kukulkan, the Light that descends from the Above to the Below along the stairs of the pyramid of Chichen Itza… the pyramid designed to reflect the Calendar of Creation. 9 comes with a warning about its Intention that there will be suffering to bear if we overlook the bigger picture. 9 can help us break through the illusion that our burden is carried all alone. Number 9 marks the presence of Divine Intervention. When we feel lost or weary in a new climb of Spiritual Growth, we can hold Faith in a Power Greater than our own.
To all my relations, may we mark this spot as the beginning of a Miracle of Transformation. May we remember the day we made a new Commitment to Love. May we acknowledge that our first experience was marked by Love, and claim each day as a Sacred Event holding the very experiences needed for our journey. May we claim our own Affinity with the Dog and Monkey, taking note of how happy they are together… one, eager to find the next opportunity to love, and the other, inspecting the beauty of Love’s creation. May we follow their ways to manifest the Joy of Living. May we remember this as the day when Dog and Monkey hand Human the Keys to the Kingdom.
in lak’ech, I am another you

3 Road / EB (Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth / KANU’GA), Kin 172
Galactic Tone 3: Movement. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Sometimes referred to as the sign of Grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth: Symbol is Rainbow, a delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. The Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer; Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
