3 Serpent / CHICCHAN

Greetings Kin,

Tone 3 is the day of Movement that brings Life to our Intention. Through the action of movement or communication an Intention of Spirit becomes a vibration in the realm of physicality. A Divine Inspiration from Above enters the world Below.

Serpent/CHICCHAN is the Day Sign of “lightening in the blood.” Serpent’s way of being is correspondent with the Movement of 3, bringing the physical sensations of Spirit to life within the body.

CHICCHAN is the catalyst of Spirit, said to “light the fuse that ignites the Force of Life itself.” CHICCHAN ignites Spirit in the movement of our Vision Quest.

Our first experience of Spirit calls us to look within our own body to see that we are wholly connected to the Forces of Divine Energy – Body, Mind, and Spirit. “Lightning in the Blood” is a “communication” we can physically feel. Our own pulse is proof of “life force,” like the ley lines that cross Mother Earth. We could see the similarity of our circulatory system, and how the iron in our blood is a conductor of unseen geomagnetic energy. What is True in one realm of existence, translates as Truth in all other realms. As Above, So Below. This force, our Spark of the Creator, is the source of our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing. We are touched by the hand of the Creator that would have us Know that we are One, together.

Like the dragon energy of Seed, we’re given the power to “see clearly.” CHICCHAN is the force of kundalini energy that we might feel traveling up the spine. Our “sixth sense” is ignited as something we “feel.” This is a day to pay attention to our gut feelings, and revelations that are accompanied by physical sensations.

In the AKBAL trecena that leads us through a Spiritual Experience, CHICCHAN is providing the Divine Service of tuning us in to our Spiritual Gifts. The Truth as it was presented by Flint/ETZNAB offered something we might remember. Flint always shares a Truth we “Knew all along,” a gut feeling we denied. We can tune-in by remembering what that gut feeling felt like… the things we Know, just because we Know it. CHICCHAN can amplify our discernment.

CHICCHAN has the power to open the way for Spiritual Expansion. We can shed the skin of our old way of being.

SERPENT/CHICCHAN: Catalyst of Spirit; Awakening Spirit in the Body; expands the heart

EAST: New Beginnings, dawnings, the Light of Divine Inspiration; turning us to the Sun/Creator, the Source of Life, Light, and Happiness

ELEMENT OF FIRE: Force of Life, Light and Spirit; the Element that is capable to change and transmute the form of all other physical elements

RED: The color of initiation. In the perpetual rotation of the 4 Directions, Red is the first color in rotation. It initiates a thought or inspiration that can then be seen from each direction of the Medicine Wheel. The Inspiration of the East, can be reflected upon through our relationships (South), our responses to the unknown experience of life (West), and through the Wisdom of the Elders (North).

The Snake is a nahaul that survives by its Sense of Vibration. Living in connection with Mother Earth, it senses its prey through vibrations that come through the ground. We can sense Spirit by the vibration of the earth matter that is the substance of who we are. The Cherokee description of the Serpent is the Movement of Spirit being seeded on the planet Earth.

To complete the Intention of Movement of Tone 3, CHICCHAN guides us to a source of Communication with the Creator. The Heart is the center from which we communicate with the Creator. The Maya recognized the Feelings of the Heart as the Divine Language of Spirit and “lightning in the blood.”

To all my relations, may we look to our own Heart and our Dream to be in Oneness with Spirit, and share those feelings with the Creator. May our Love be the prayer that communicates our Intention. May we use this day to connect with our own Sixth Sense. Through Acknowledgement of our intuitive instincts, we invite the feelings to grow. May we give thanks for our First Gift of Spirit. As we light the candles on our altar, may we consider the power of Fire to change everything. May we see it as a representation of the Fire of Spirit within, and the Spark of the Creator.

VISION QUEST: On the first day of Movement, our Dance begins. We are called by the drum, the heartbeat of Mother Earth that beats within. This morning I lit 5 candles on the altar. One in the Center for the Great Spirit, and 1 for each of the 4 directions, to represent All who Dance as One and shine our Light together. May we greet a new dawn, feeling the pulse of our own Life Force.

NOTE:  One of our fellow dancers, shared her intention to journal the Vision Quest through art. Artist Expression is our direct link to Spirit. She’s creating a scroll of art. (Thank you, Martha!) Engagement with color and art is way we can document and experience our Vision Quest journey. Painting or coloring the glyphs is a way we were taught by the Elders as a way to feel the energy of the Day Sign.

in lak’ech, I am another you

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:

I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year.  Today is the 21st day started on 11 Jaguar/IX. Today on 5 Jaguar/IX gifts us with an Empowerment of Gratitude.

Since Jaguar/IX is the Day Sign of Gratitude, it seems right and good to begin and end every 21 days on Jaguar/IX. So, today will be both Day 21 of one ceremony, and also Day 1 of the next.  (This 21-Days of Gratitude began 5 Jaguar/IX (Kin 174) and ends on 12 Jaguar/IX (Kin 194), a day of Understanding the Magic of Gratitude.

21-Days of Gratitude: Day 11

I’m grateful for Light we shine together, and for the Divine Gifts the Creator would have us know and feel within our Self.

3 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Cherokee, Serpent/Do’tsi  VK)

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.

Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI VK: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page.
