6 Star / LAMAT – Vision Quest: Day 6 of 13

The invitation and introduction is offered on the journal post for 1 Night/AKBAL. Suggestions for daily practice are offered on the Vision Quest Ceremony page.

6 Star / LAMAT

Greetings Kin,

Today, Tone 6 draws us into a pattern and flow of movement. Having stabilized and empowered a new Intention of Spirit, Tone 6 generates the momentum of forward movement. The Dream begins to Lead Us from one step to the next.

Tone 6 asks us to “go with the flow.” We don’t have to force our Intention, but allow it to unfold. This is the “Peak Energy” of the trecena that will carry us to the top of the pyramid and complete the work of a new Spiritual Climb.

The energy of Tone 6 is compared to the great athlete, who after much practice, no longer thinks about the steps.  Like a well-practiced Dance, it takes on the quality of a Personal Expression. Dynamic developments are now possible.

Star/LAMAT represents the Light of our own Spirit. LAMAT reminds us that we were created as the Personification of Light. We are made of Stars. The Human body emits its own Light. The glyph marks the 4 directions reminding us to shine our light equally all around.  The AKBAL trecena points us to the Light in the Darkness. Today we begin to see our own Light shining there.

LAMAT is a Day Sign of Love that Flows. The totem Rabbit is a symbol of fertility and reproduction, holding the power to multiply all things to abundance. This is the day of a Blessing and the Responsibility to Focus on what we desire. Whatever we choose to focus on will be multiplied to abundance. LAMAT is known as the Day Sign of “pure luck.” LAMAT multiplies the momentum of Tone 6. Star/LAMAT is positioned as the 8th Day Sign in the rotation of the 20. 8 is the symbol of infinity and abundance.

LAMAT offers a warning not to give too much away. Our Vision Quest is a Dream for a Spiritual Revelation. In synchronicity, it began at Sunset on the “Day of Epiphany.” An “epiphany” is a Personal Revelation. We are already in a flow that is moving us in that direction. This is a time to keep our “spiritual gems” to ourselves. To share them now could invite a third-party discernment. To stay in our own Flow of Unfolding, it’s important to hold the treasure close to our own chest.

We may be naturally inclined to want to share what is happening. AKBAL is the bringer of Dreams and Voices of Spirit that speak to us. The odds are good that we are receiving new ideas, abstract thoughts, and an active dreamtime. Each person is a different “expression.” This is not a time to pattern ourselves off someone else’s thoughts and ideas. Our way, whatever it is, is the expression of our own Spiritual Beauty – no matter where we are on our Spiritual Path.

Both the Novice and the Elder shine an Equal Light. Beauty is created whenever we are invested in a Divine Intention. The Elder may shine a brighter Light of Wisdom, yet the Beginner shines the Greatest Light of Faith. We don’t have to have the same experience for it to be worthy and life-changing. In my experience as a beginner, I tried too hard for something that would unfold in a natural flow… like I was “mentally searching” for my inspiration.

AKBAL is a Day Sign that works through our subconscious and intellect. We are guided to enter the darkness of what the Elders call the “No Mind.” We can enter the Natural Flow of Spirit by allowing “what Will Be.” We can always turn to the Old Ones to re-express our Dream and Intention and Hope. They can provide the Light to see that we are still on the right path.

It’s important to keep our personal notes of inspiration in a journal. This will help relieve the pressure of expressing what we may feel a need to share. Take note of the smallest inspiration without need for them to mean anything. Our inspiration might also come as a download that brings sudden clarity to something we’ve been thinking about unconsciously for a long time. An Answer to a Question might suddenly present itself. Hold on to those details too.

The Elders call this “holding our power.” This was hard for me to learn. I was the kid at Christmas who couldn’t help myself from revealing the contents of the gifts before they were opened. One year, my parents were gone on a day-trip when the package from Sears & Roebuck was delivered. I went through the entire contents, excited about the gifts that would be mine. On Christmas, I learned they belonged to someone else. Expectations robbed me of the joy of opening the gifts meant for me.

The Moon Mothers and Elders in Sacred Ceremony, and the Old Ones who tend the Sacred Fire, are a safe place to go… those who are Wise to return encouragement and guidance without the discernment of what it means. Tone 6 guides us to stay in our own Flow for our own Personal Moment of the “Reveal,” undefined and uninfluenced by something outside of ourselves.

The notes in my own journal are still a jumble. They are ideas that seem important, yet still without clarity. Recording all the pieces and parts, I can remember to look at them again.

We must also note that whatever we do is Right and Good for our own experience. We can learn either way. Everything that is, is Divine and Good in its own Purpose and Intention.

STAR/LAMAT: Reproduction and multiplication to abundance; identifying as the Personification of Light; responsibility to focus on what we want, not what we don’t want; love that flows freely in every direction.

SOUTH: The direction of our relationships with one another and the natural world; brings awareness to the influence of our relationships; intention of building right relationship

ELEMENT OF EARTH: Our substance, Forces of Life and Movement; Mother Earth, our foundation, the source of all Human knowledge, healing, and sustenance

YELLOW: The color of completion; in the rotation of the 4 directions, Yellow is the final color in the set of 4. Yellow symbolizes a day of seating the beginning of an experience that will be initiated (Red) into a new and higher level of understanding.

Bunny “Binky”: Rabbit’s way of expressing Joy; a high hop that a rabbit may perform when happy.

The energetic experience of the Rabbit can be a bit “excited and jumpy,” a day when our thoughts could be all over the place. A good way to begin the day is to repeat our Intentions to the Old Ones, the Ascended Masters, and ask our Guardian Angels to Intervene to help us hold the desired Intention on our behalf.

To all my relations, may we go with the Flow by allowing Everything to Be. May our thoughts be more focused on the dream that is unfolding that trying to define what is happening at the moment. May we let go and Dance as if no one else is watching. May we forget the steps and see the Beauty of our own Expression of Spirit.

in lak’ech, I am another you

I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year.  Today is the 21st day started on 11 Jaguar/IX. Today on 5 Jaguar/IX gifts us with an Empowerment of Gratitude.

Since Jaguar/IX is the Day Sign of Gratitude, it seems right and good to begin and end every 21 days on Jaguar/IX. So, today will be both Day 21 of one ceremony, and also Day 1 of the next.  (Our next 21-Days of Gratitude begins 5 Jaguar/IX (Kin 174) and ends on 12 Jaguar/IX (Kin 194), a day of Understanding the Magic of Gratitude. (I am having some difficulty keeping track of these 21 days. I can confirm that today, Jan 12th, is an accurate accounting as the 15th day from our beginning.)

21-Days of Gratitude: Day 15

I’m grateful for a day of “pure luck.” I’m grateful that I don’t have to “push” Spirit to “make” something happen… that all I have to do is let go and go with the Flow. I’m grateful that sometimes what we see as an insignificant detail can unfold into the “most important thing.” I’m grateful for all the times I asked a question of the Elders and they answered, “the answer is in the question.”

One of the teachings I loved best from Bear Heart’s book “The Wind is My Mother” was the way of the Elders in asking the young ones all together the same hypothetical questions, then affirming that each one’s answer was correct.

6 Star/LAMAT (Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA), Kin 188

Galactic Tone 6: Flow. Six is responsiveness, and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Star/LAMAT: Star energy is multiplication of all things to abundance. Star has been associated with the fertility of rabbits for its ability to multiply. As each sun in the sky, Star persons shine equally in all directions. This natural tendency of harmony and balance can become compulsion, motivating Star to be too agreeable and too generous, rejected gifts cause fear and resentment. When a Star believes it has been given too much, they are weakened or may even collapse. In this “Black Hole” state, Stars are prone to verbal jousting and arguing to force their point of view on everyone.

Cherokee, Rabbit/NOQUI’SEGWA: Symbol-Venus, The Morning Star cycle of 260 days and Evening Star cycle of another 260 days, inspired the 13 numbers, 20 Day sign Sacred Calendar.  Rabbit is the Trickster of Cherokee culture, matching the Coyote in other nations.  The personification of Light and New Life, Sunrise, the scion of the Moon-Father of earth children, the Rabbit is fertility, be fruitful and multiply.  Represents softness, gentleness and vulnerability. LAMAT– Totem Rabbit.  Energies of re-birth, regeneration, ripening, harvest and abundance.  This person is overflowing with love energy in all areas of life.  Spiritual growth is natural and with ease due to the unconditional love energy that flows.
