MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 brings the intention of Stability. Representing the cube, the most stable of all forms, and the 4 directions. 4 establishes an orientation, direction and parameters of movement, like the rules of a game.
Serpent/CHICCHAN is the catalyst, the Spark that Lights the Fuse to Life Force itself. This is a day of “Lightning in the Blood.” Serpent seats the Spark within the Seed, our Spiritual DNA.
“Lightning in the Blood” relates to our sixth senses, our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing. CHICCHAN holds the Force of Life, Animation, and Movement and Awakens the Spiritual Force within. The Ether of Spirit resides in the Element of Water that flows through Human. CHICCHAN’s gift of Knowing creates sensations in the body as a means of Discernment.
All Human’s were Equally Gifted. Our Spiritual Gifts are part of our everyday experience. We’ve only forgotten the power they hold. We won’t notice them unless we pay attention. We sense danger that generated goosebumps or raised hair. We’ve walked into a room where we knew we’d stepped into the middle of something going on. We don’t even notice to discern what it is.
CHICCHAN awakens the Sixth Sense we can feel. It’s a day to pay attention to gut feelings and sensations in the body. We can bring them to Life through an Application of Consciousness. The Gifts that seem so subtle become more Powerful as they are Seen and Acknowledged. Like the Seed/Dragon, CHICCHAN holds a Spiritual Gift of “Seeing Clearly.”
Today is the Global Burner, a release of pent up energy. All Global Burners are on Tone 4 of Stability (4 Sun/AHAU, 4 Eagle/MEN, 4 Dog/OC, and 4 Serpent/CHICCHAN). The Maya observe Global Burners with Sacred Fire Ceremonies, for the purpose of restoring Harmony in the Community. Each season offers a day for coming together in a Mutual Intention of Harmony.
This Global Burner offers a shift of Spiritual Energy that can magnify our Senses of CHICCHAN. I’ve become conscious of my own sense of “overwhelm.” My general state of being has been over-stimulated, but lacking any physical energy to do anything about it. I could compare it to an urgent hope for progress, while peddling on a stationary bike. Nothing has been moving fast enough for me, yet the world is spinning faster than before. The Release offered by a Global Burner can re-engage our “chains of synchronicity.” See if you notice a shift in your energy.
The Purpose of our Spiritual Gifts is to Know the Truth. Our Highest Consciousness is made possible by our Offering of Forgiveness. Forgiveness allows us to “see things clearly.” When the walls of resentment are torn down, we can see that both the “offender” and the “victim” are in need of a Spiritual Healing. As we see that neither deserves the Blessing more than the other, we realize We are Gifted Equally because we are no less worthy.
We aren’t meant to use our Spiritual Gifts to change the world, but to Draw on Divine Power and Wisdom. We surrendered ourselves to a “leading by Spirit.” Our first “Leap of Faith” is “waiting” for direction. Waiting is often the hardest thing we have to do.
Today we have an opportunity to Know we are Connected. It’s not so important to “Know what to do” as it is to “Know We Will Know.” Some of our “basic gifts” include: Intuition, the Sense of knowing something we can’t see; Telepathy, knowing more than what is being conveyed by words alone; Clairvoyance, a Knowing in advance what will happen in the future. CHICCHAN can magnify these “subtle” experiences. All we have to do is pay attention to what we are thinking and feeling about the experiences of “right now.” It comes back to a simple discernment that Truth is never confusing. When we face Truth that is hidden, we ALWAYS Know there is something More. Gifts as simple as that are magnified when we acknowledge they are Real.
Imagine how this could change our life. How many times do we wish we’d had “hindsight” in advance? How many of our “failures” could be attributed to a fantasy we unconsciously knew was an illusion. How many hopes have we pinned on someone else’s discernment of Truth? When we didn’t understand it, we just thought that they must know more than we do. Holding means to Discern our own Truth, we can clearly see that Fear and Suffering is our natural response to being led astray.
CHICCHAN draws Consciousness to our Spiritual Gifts through a movement of Spirit in the body. CHICCHAN’s energy is the Element of Fire, the all-consuming Power of Spirit. This is a day to call awareness to our thoughts and feelings. Being Present in the Moment, we WILL notice the Presence of our Inner Voice. Our Knowing won’t come from facts, but as something we simply Know… that needs no proof.
The Elders were very explicit about engaging with Spiritual Communication, that the first order of business was to lay the boundaries and parameters for communication. The Elders said that we always have the right to ask, “Who are you and what do you want?” Unless we get a clear answer, we were advised to offer them a Blessing, command they leave, and ask the Ascended Masters to escort them away. It is always Right and Good to establish a Spiritual boundary that is only open to Divine Spirits who hold Intention for the Highest Good of the Whole. The direction of Divine Spirit only leads to Forgiveness and Unconditional Love. Within our own realm of Spirit, we can surround ourselves by the Ascended Ones, Archangels, and Divine Spirits that We recognize as our Divine Guides and Protectors.
The Serpent is Highly Sensitive to Vibration. The snake captures its prey by sensing its location through the vibration in the ground. Serpent can help us See Spirit through physical sensations. Ignited by the Power of Serpent/CHICCHAN Spiritual Gifts can Grow. The “snake” shares its ability to shed its skin. Through a Gift of CHICCHAN, we can shed the skin that binds us to worldly motives, so we can Grow into our Spiritual Power by Intending to employ them for a Divine Purpose.
CHICCHAN can help us to clearly see that all the “others” that declared their Spiritual Gifts for a purpose of personal interest, weren’t examples of the Spiritually Gifted at all. Gifts are corrupted when they are assigned a worldly value. All Gifts of Spirit are repaid by a sacred exchange, a personal valuation of what one is Moved to give to Pay Back and Pay Forward. The path of the Truly Gifted is narrow, helping others realize their Own Connection to Divine Power. An Almighty Power works behind the scenes. Only by our Humility and Divine Intention will we Know our True Power of Spirit.
Our Spiritual Gifts can’t be proven by telling someone what they are thinking, or by divining the winning lottery numbers. They are only ignited for a Divine Meaning and Purpose.
This is a traditional day for Fire Ceremony. We can “burn off” our attachments to negativity. We might write what we hope to release on a piece of paper to offer to the Element of Fire. Or we can imbue our Intention in Prayer into any offering to the Fire. We can sacrifice our personal interest. As we do, we Honor the Power of Fire to transform every other Element of our Being. Spiritual Fire is represented by the Color of Red. Red is the traditional color of cloth that is used to hold Sacred Medicine, such as the medicine pipe or sacred medicine bundle.
To all my relations, may we draw our Awareness to our own thoughts and gut instincts. May we Honor the Divinity of these Gifts by laying our own boundaries on how they would be used. May we commit our Spiritual Gifts unto the Hand of a Divine Authority. We will never need to “contrive” our Spiritual Gifts. They Appear in Divine Time, exactly as they are needed. If we feel some Human need to employ them, we can look more closely to recognize the personal interest that would compromise the Divinity of the Gift. May we burn candles at the altar to Honor the Fire of Divine Spirit and release ourselves from the boundaries of our Human Nature.

21-Days of Gratitude: Day 12
I’m grateful for the Growing Awareness of our Spiritual Gifts, made possible by our Acknowledgement that they are Real. I’m glad that feeling them, is something we could easily relate to – to know we hold the Gifts.

4 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.
Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.
