MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 11 brings the Intention of Resolution and the Clarity for a new Understanding. Tone 11 is dynamic energy that facilitates change, simplification and improvement. Tone 11 establishes an agreement from which we can hereby Resolve to move forward in our new way.
Seed/KAN represents family, sexual activity, and the magic of germination. Seed brings the energy to free us from debt or our oppressive patterns of the past.
Seed offers the courage to make a profound investigation of our Self, so we can gather what is needed, and place ourselves in the right environment to grow. Seed is said to reveal hidden traps and negative influences. Those born as Seed are defenders of the people, and are capable to navigate around obstacles.
The Cherokee Day Sign, the Dragon, is the energy of Life Force that germinates a Seed. The Dragon is said to help us to see clearly. Seed can help us find our place where Spirit can exist in the realm of physicality.
Seed/KAN helps us find the place where we can live in the Truth of our Authenticity. We are called to “Know Thy Self” and make the choices that support who we are. From the principle of “As Above, So Below” we learn our reality is created from what we imagine. Seed calls us to separate ourselves from circumstances that draw us into negativity. It’s our right and responsibility to claim our own fertile soil.
Seed/KAN calls our attention to who we were created to be. The Maya honor the Corn as a symbol of the people. Corn was the crop central to the basics of survival, the most important Seed of the Maya. Corn represented the Truth that what is planted on Mother Earth can be multiplied to abundance, always producing a seed of the next generation of itself. They saw beyond the fruit of the one, to fields of corn multiplied to abundance. They recognized the power of a small thing.
We are the Highest Seed Created. We were given powers beyond instinct to reach for the Light. We were given a Choice in the acceleration of our own Growth. Our Seed lies dormant until we make the Choice to Grow. Choice is the evidence of our Divinity. Only Human can make a choice of when, where, and how we will grow and what we will create. When we look at all the Beauty of the Earth around us and the specialness of each living thing, by Reason we could see how Choice makes us the most special of all.
On Tone 11 the shaman and priest climb to the Highest Altar. They come to make an offering and to seek a Higher Discernment of their experience. Today we can Resolve in agreement with the Creator the Meaning and Purpose that lies at the heart of our Seed and the Divinity of our Spiritual DNA. We were created to produce a perpetual Harvest of Spirit. With each new generation of our self, our Spirit would be multiplied to abundance over and over again.
The Jaguar who so loves Mother Earth guides us to see ourselves as One in the Whole, given a special role in creation. When we see ourselves Oneness in relation to her we can see who we are from a Higher Perspective.
In our dormant state Mother Earth is merely a backdrop, the physical background of life’s experience. Consciousness brings the Clarity that we are part of everything. We can forge a new relationship with Mother Earth, be acknowledging our resemblance. When we Choose to Give ourselves to Her, we will begin to Grow. We can see that the Hand that designed her Beauty, is the Hand that Created Human as the Most Special Seed that she would bring to Harvest.
When we know the identity of a Seed, we hold no doubt of the crop it will produce. The only “unknown” resides in the question of whether the Seed is planted in fertile soil, and offered the right conditions to grow. Seed/KAN represents the Intention of drawing everything that is needed together to cultivate our environment for growth. Seed can help us see the elements of our environment that need cultivation.
Our Human body needs constant attention for survival. When you look at the whole of support given to the Human body in the course of one day, it’s amazing how “high maintenance” our bodies really are. To survive, we are perpetually tending to our physical being. It’s such a big responsibility, we have to look beyond today to see how we will survive in the future.
We can’t expect our Spirit’s to grow without the same attention and maintenance. Even the strongest of seeds will fail to grow when it is left unattended in rocky soil. The life of our Spirit depends on the environment we have to Choose to Create.
The Seed reminds us where we came from. Humanity is the firstborn Seed of the Creator. We are a Seed of Divinity. We inherently Know all the possibilities we could harvest. And, we know how hard it is to make all the choices that are necessary to become everything we can be. We need a Divine Gardner who can oversee the process. Through the Consciousness of the Creator, we are empowered to Choose the Hand that will tend our Soul. The Creator will extend the Truth of everything that is needed so we can make the right choices… the Choices worthy of our Seed.
Our fears and thoughts of negativity are the weeds in our Garden of Spirit. We must make a choice to pull the weeds whenever they begin to appear. All the better if we pull them, before they have the chance to take root. We can’t afford to have the weeds around that would draw nourishment away from our Seed of Spirit.
Seed/KAN can help us Resolve to tend the Garden of our Spirit Every Day. We can hold a Higher Perspective that weeds are a part of every Garden. There is nothing lacking in us when they appear. We are only lacking in a Choice when we allow them to grow.
Look around. We know a weed when we see it. We must resolve to pull them wherever they appear. Small changes create an environment for Miracles. The weeds that have taken root can be surrendered to a Divine Hand. We only have to be willing for a Miracle to happen.
To all my relations, may we Discern the Divinity that created Beauty to the nth degree. May we Know that Mother Earth was Intentionally created to be Seen as Beautiful down to the smallest details, so we would inevitably discover we are one and the same. May we remember we are born of Unconditional Love, a Power that will find its way. May we Know that the habits we entertain to forget our sorrow won’t be needed as we Discover our Joy. May we see that this is what Dreams are for. May we take inventory of the our greatest challenges so we can surrender them to the Creator’s Hand. And, may we tend to the small changes we Believe we can make. May we always tend to the One Most Important thing that nourishes our Spirit, an Intention to be Conscious of the Creator’s Unconditional Love.

11 Seed/KAN (Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA)
Galactic Tone 11: Resolution; 11 assists every new thing to find its place in the universe in the process of ‘fitting in.’ some modifications must occur. Eleven is the energy of dynamic actions facilitating change, simplification and improvement.
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders who work toward uniting community by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less than less fertile environments.
Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA O’STO: Dragon’s symbol is Draco winding between the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, symbol of dual personality of Corn Mother and Maiden; fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means “eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy”, pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth.
