MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 12 is the Day of Understanding. Truth moves from the Head to the Heart.
Serpent/CHICCHAN is a catalyst of Spirit. “It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself.” Down through history, the Serpent/Snake has represented the Force of Life. The Maya call CHICCHAN a symbol of “lightning in the blood,” the Spark that bestirs the blood to speak. “Lightning in the Blood” is the Sixth Sense expressed by Spirit in the body and blood.
CHICCHAN produces symptoms like an electrical charge of goosebumps, hair raising, or the blood-stirring of a blush. CHICCHAN is a Sense that overcomes our body from the Movement of Spirit in the Heart. Our thoughts are electrical charges, our emotions are said to be magnetic. Through an electrical charge of Divine Thought, our Hearts and Minds beat as One.
CHICCHAN is a Spiritual Gift. It’s the most pronounced and recognizable of ALL our Spiritual Gifts. 12 Serpent/CHICCHAN is the Gift the Jaguar has led us to… Knowing our Spiritual Gifts are Real.
All Humans share the same set of Spiritual Gifts. Some are easier to recognize than others. They are in operation at all times, so common we hardly notice. I once thought Spiritual Gifts had to be developed. The reason for my Spiritual Path was a desired to Experience the Realness of a Divine Communion, and to Know the Gifts that seemed so rare. Now I believe the Gifts were always there. What we develop is the Consciousness to See them. This is a Truth that would satisfy the Creator’s Intention of Harmony and Equity. When our Gifts are Seen, Acknowledged, and Claimed they feel more powerful, because we Believe in them all the more.
CHICCHAN embodies the feeling we get when something touches our Heart – a scripture, the bride at her wedding, or a child at graduation. You might remember being moved by a beautiful expression of Music or Art. CHICCHAN is a Force of Life that seizes upon the whole body. It’s compared to the Kundalini energy that travels up the spine.
CHICCHAN is a Gift that draws us into Consciousness of a Moment. The Serpent is a sign of “seeing clearly.” CHICCHAN serves as the catalyst to See ALL our Spiritual Gifts of Knowing. When we Know one is real, we can Believe in the others.
Our journey with Jaguar/IX is almost over. We were led to a destination of Knowing that there IS a realm of Spirit that lives within. Through a Human application of Faith in the Dream, our transformation is completed by a Higher Understanding of Spirit – an Understanding that would change our Human mind. An integration of Spirit unites our Body and Soul.
Jaguar takes us to the dimension of CHICCHAN. Applying Consciousness to the Moment, we will remember that we’ve had these feelings before. If we can remember times when our hearts have been touched with an overwhelming feeling of Love, we can clearly see our own CHICCHAN. If we see beneath the surface, we’ll Know it was Spirit that touched our Heart, Spirit that shared our Joy, and Spirit that Loved Sharing a Divine Moment.
To all my relations, may the Spirit of CHICCHAN ignite our Heart with Love. May we remember the Wholeness in the Moment that Spirit touches our Heart. May our eyes be opened to see clearly what the Jaguar is so grateful for, and how it Knows the heartbeat of Mother Earth. May we shape-shift into our Jaguar Spirit with heightened consciousness of everything around us. May we Know that in the Moment we are Conscious of the Divine, our Spirits are singing the One Song of the Universe – a Vibration of Love so High our Human Hearts can’t hold it. May the Heart of our Seed burst forth with the Light of Life, a Light that will overtake the darkness in our life. May we be charged by Love to overcome every obstacle, so that a Light of Divine Magnitude will rise to Shine for the Whole.
in lak’ech, i am another you

12 Serpent/CHICCHAN (Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI)
Galactic Tone 12: Understanding. This number’s energy is a gift of great capability of retrospection. It is this ability that allows Twelve to connect disassociated parts into a (new) functioning whole. The energy of Twelve is that which presents a new piece of understood information or accumulated experience to be applied.
Serpent/CHICCHAN: Movement and the creation of time. Sensual and dramatic, this sun sign embodies intense instinctual wisdom and creates a connection from Earth bound, to Heavenly aspirations. By sincere service to others, Serpent opens and expands its heart. Serpent aligns authority and the truth to bring justice that is quick and sure. Serpents are very adaptable, even fluid until trapped in a corner, and then they explode. Serpents, venomous temper poisons itself as well as others by creating resentful, suppressive and even destructive attitudes.
Cherokee, Serpent/DO’TSI: Serpent’s symbol is Constellation Serpens. Serpent people are Sky people who come to earth periodically as Educators. As above-So below, on Earth the Serpent is the roots of the tree of knowledge. Serpent power is vital energy, the moving force, the instinct and desire for creativity, the trigger that sets off the action. It lights the fuse that magnifies and explodes the life force itself. Knowledge, combining science, technology and psychology, plus spirituality are seeded on the planet.
