MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Tone 4 offers the energy of Stability. Like the cube, the most stable of geometric forms, is harmonized by equality in all its dimensions. The Reed/BEN trecena raises our awareness of Stability as an Intention we can accomplish by drawing the Creator’s Light into every direction that influences our lives.
We can raise our perception of Divine Inspiration (East), the Blessing of our Relationships (South), the Mysteries of our Life (West), and the Gift of Consciousness to draw Wisdom from every experience. The Light of our Life would be dimmed, if even one of these influences were missing from our experience. By Human reason we could discern how our Happiness is stabilized by the Consciousness of the Blessings from every direction.
We are stabilized on Tone 4 by Widsom/CIB. The Reed/BEN trecena guides us to establish our stability by drawing upon the Wisdom of Humanity.
Wisdom/CIB is the Day Sign that represents our Highest State of Consciousness. It Honors the Collective Wisdom of Humanity. As a Day Sign of the South, it represents our Relationship to the Ascended Masters, and the Grandfathers and Grandmothers who walked the Path of Beauty. We are bound together in Relationship by our shared experience of Life… bound by our common struggles and the common Joy of being transformed to rise above them.
How empty would our lives be if we never had Dream to pursue? How lonely would we be if no one else knew our Joy or Sorrow? What would be the meaning and purpose, if we knew in advance everything that would happen? And, how long would our suffering prevail if we could never learn anything from the experience? Without ALL of these influences, there would be no gift of Free Will. Our Human sacrifice would no longer be Sacred, because we couldn’t Choose it. Everything would remain as it always was and always would be.
We might consider why God Created Human, so that the One Divine Consciousness could be Seen, Experienced, Acknowledged, and Defined by Humanity as Sacred.
The glyph represents the Mind emanating the Rays of Divine Consciousness of Unconditional Love and Forgiveness. When we fail to see the blessing of every direction, our Divine Consciousness will be unstable. If we can’t Forgive the influences in any direction of our life, we draw Happiness and Light away from every other direction. If we resent the challenge of facing the unknown, we deny the Divine Light of Inspiration that led us there. When we perceive any relationship as unworthy, we’ve lost the Light of the Wisdom we can learn from every experience.
The Wisdom of the Old Ones defines Forgiveness as the Key to the Kingdom of Spirit. A Life of Light, Life, and Happiness all centers on this One Act of Divinity. Our Human Forgiveness was so important that the Greatest Story Ever Told was of One willing to bear all the suffering that Human could inflict, so every Human would know they are Forgiven of every personal failing, weakness, and limitation. Through Forgiveness, Human would know the Hope of their own Salvation.
As the life of Jesus Christ illustrates a story of Divinity on Earth, so did the story reveal the limitation of Humanity. In His darkest hour, even Christ called out to the Creator, “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me.” (Luke 22:42) His Passion was no less worthy because His faith was challenged. We only relate to a story of Divinity, because He bore the same doubts of Human limitation.
To all my relations, may we Kneel in Humility at the altar within and offer a Blessing for each direction of our experience. May we Acknowledge each of them as fundamental to our experience of Divine Consciousness. May we give thanks for the Choice to Define each experience as Sacred. May we see that when we hide behind an illusion of perfection, we diminish the Light of the Creator. May we light a candle on our altar to each of the 4 directions. May we offer prayers of Gratitude for the experiences that every Human would share, so we would Know there is nothing we have suffered that hasn’t been born by another. May we pray for each other in the Spirit of Forgiveness, acknowledging that in spite of the Best Intentions, ultimately every Human will fail. May we call our failures Sacred as the sacrifice Human must bear to become Fully Consciousness of the magnitude of the Love of the Creator.

4 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons. A good day to sit on a rock.
Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ O’JJ: Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.
