VISION QUEST: Day 4
Traditional ways of Vision Quest are offered for your consideration on the Vision Quest Ceremony page. My Intention is to share it in a worthy way that Honors the teaching of the Elders.
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
CHICCHAN lit the fuse of our Spiritual Intention. A Vision Quest is brought to life through our Choice of movement.
Tone 4 carries the Intention of Stability. 4 represents the cube – the most stable forms, creating volume through the dimensions of height, depth, and width. Tone 4 offers orientation, reflecting the 4 directions, setting the parameters, freedoms, and conditions through which we will manifest a our Intention.
Transformer/CIMI is a Sign of a Major Life Change. CIMI is the midwife and hospice nurse that provides the service of attending those in the process of major life transitions. The CIMI glyph illustrates the face of death, reminding us that something always dies as something new is born. Our Vision Quest is an alignment with a Sacred Intention that invites the Creator to be the Authority over a major change in progress.
CIMI shares the Spiritual Gift of Clairvoyance. CIMI guides us to navigate the chaos of change by remembering the Blessing that lies in the future. CIMI is said to bring the guidance of a “soft hand.” CIMI will stay by our side through the pain to remind us the suffering is only temporary, and is Divine in its Purpose for the Blessing it promises in our future. We can find the Power to stabilize our Vision Quest journey by keeping our eyes focused on the future.
CIMI’s shares the Gift of Clairvoyance, the ability to see the Future. As the midwife, CIMI comforts the Mother in labor, sharing the vision of the newborn she will hold in her her arms. With those near death, CIMI shares the Vision of the Joy of a Heavenly Reunion. CIMI is the one who sits with us and holds our hand. With CIMI we never have to fear, relying on One who will know exactly what is needed in every moment. CIMI will help us establish our Orientation by directing our thoughts to the Divine Meaning and Purpose of our Intention. We can accomplish Tone 4’s Intention of Stability by turning to our future.
TRANSFORMER/CIMI: Helper through change, clairvoyant, Day Sign of Major Life Change
NORTH: Place of the Ascended Ones and their Collective Wisdom; connection to the Grandmothers and Grandfathers; faculties of the Mind to acquire Wisdom
ELEMENT OF AIR: Breath of Life and Breath of Spirit; mental activity, changeable, mental process; Sacred Breath for Creation and Healing
WHITE: The color of refinement. In the Tzolk’in’s rotation of the 4 directions, White comes after Red (counter clockwise rotation of the Medicine Wheel). White refines the understanding of the Inspiration (Red) of Serpent/CHICCHAN.
Each of the 19 Day Signs are aspects of the All-in-One, the 20th Day Sign, Sun/AHAU, the Omega, the Supreme Lord of Creation. Each one reflect a different aspect of the Creator’s Strength, Authority, and Love.
CIMI is the aspect of the Creator to always watch over us. CIMI understands the Human perception of chaos that is part of every major change. Chaos is a natural and normal experience as we transition from one way of being to another. We already see that we are leaving something familiar behind, yet still face the darkness of an unknown future. The Creator knows our future. An Ascension on 13 Eagle/MEN is already marked on the Sacred Calendar as a day we will take off, clearly seeing our future through a Vision seen from the Up Above.
This morning I connected to my own discomfort in the Unknown. This is how every Vision Quest begins. Waiting, watching, and wondering what will be, and accepting that every thing that is, is meant to be.
We can find strength and perseverance in the Truth that we have offered our Self and our Time in an Intention of Sacred Communion with the Creator. We Chose to Create an experience guided by Spirit. We can remember that we are watched over, and seen in the Divinity of our Intention. We can believe in the Creator’s Divine Justice in our future.
The daily experience of life has seemed a bit “off track” here. It already feels like a long climb and we’ve just begun. It’s taken this long to see my own need to withdraw wholly from the realm of the physical world. The world around me only reflects the chaos with little hope for a blessing in the future. Again, I’m learning that to see the Divine Dream in the future requires me to turn my eyes away from the world, and to remember the Truth that we are not defined by Human limitations, but given the Authority of Creation in Spirit.
This morning I’m remembering the ways of the Sun/Moon Dance Ceremony. Every Sacred Ceremony is a Dance of Spirit. I remember the invitation to my first dance when I was told it was a 4-day fast. I was willing, though surprised to find out it was a fast of food AND water. The Sun/Moon dance was a 4 year/4 dance commitment. At the beginning, each dancer was asked to make a commitment to live through the experience. Each person was watched over by a personal support person and a Moon Mother. The indigenous way is to allow what will be. I only made it through 4 days on my 4th dance. I was 52 when I started. Dancers older than myself lastest much longer than I did.
We were given ice-cold wet towels at least once a day, and a serving of medicine tea at night. I remember how day 1 was the hardest. It wasn’t the absence of food or water, but the challenge of having no part in the worldly way of living. The only resource for nourishment was drawn from the realm of Spirit. There will always be a Blessing in the future when we dedicate a time to Spiritual Communion with the Creator.
The Vision Quest always begins in the Unknown. I’ve been stumbling between a world of reality and a world of Spirit, sensing only the chaos of the Void between worlds. The only Light I feel I’m able to share is the Truth that we will find our Light in Spirit.
We are being drawn into the darkness to discover our own Light in Spirit. That is the blessing in our Future. This morning I felt the comfort of surrendering to whatever the experience will be, Knowing that CIMI was on the way.
We enter Sacred Ceremony with our Human expectations of what it needs to be. When we lay down our need for worldly validation, the Dance of Spirit begins. Our discomfort of the moment can be recognized as the chaos of the change in progress. In the darkness our eyes will be trained to the Light of Spirit.
CIMI brings the energy of an All-Knowing caretaker of Unconditional Love. CIMI sees the process of birth for what it is and where it is leading us to. When all we can see is the darkness of the moment, the Creator offers a way to overcome our Human limitations. CIMI is the Light from Above that appears in the Darkness. CIMI directs our eyes to the Light in our future and the promise of Divine Justice.
CIMI knows the struggle between Darkness and Light. When we look to the darkness of the world, there is no end to it. There is no way to see a way through it. CIMI reminds us that this is normal in the realm of Spirit. This is the Blessing of Spirit, the Creative Void of ALL possibility. We only have to turn around to see the Light that shines the way through.
To all my relations, may we lay down our Human need to see the world as we dream it to be in the realm of physicality. Instead, may we rely Wholly on the way of a Divine Caretaker who has chosen to watch over us – One who can already see the Blessing. May we allow the Whole experience to Be, believing a Light will appear in our Darkness. May we clearly see the Divinity of an Intention to separate ourselves from the world, to exist in a Time and Place of Spirit, where every movement will be guided by a Divine Authority. May we remember the Unconditional Love we’ve Known Before as the Light we will Know Again, in a way that’s Higher than we’ve known before. May we remember that no Human call for a Blessing of Spirit is ever Unseen or Unacknowledged by the One Divine Consciousness of everything. May we know that even Mother Earth sees the Sacred Light of our Intention. Even She can see our future as a Blessing to the Whole. May we hold faith that we are tended to in Spirit and that in Spirit we exist under the Sole Authority of a Supreme Creator whose greatest Intention is that we Know that we share the same Dream for the Harmony and Happiness of the Whole. May we allow ourselves to exist in the chaos of the Unknown, finding our stability in the Promise of our Divine Destination.
in lak’ech, I am another you
Debra, Jaguar Woman/9 Eagle/MEN
PS – This is a time to make use of all our Spiritual Tools. We can turn to the altar and to the blessings of Sage and Sweetgrass. Bay leaf (Laurel Leaf) is another Sacred aromatic. We can turn to all the Blessings of Mother Earth to draw strength from her Beauty and Forces of Nature. There is a Blessing in every Element of her Being. CIMI reminds us to use the Sacred Breath of Spirit.
Happy Mayan Birthday, Craig Thomas, 4 Transformer/CIMI!

4 Transformer/CIMI (Cherokee, TAKATO’KA)
Galactic Tone 4: Stability. Four is the cube the most stable of all forms, and the establishment of volume by definition. The four directions give orientation to any form as the height, length, depth and breadth give shape to any form. The energy of Four sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Transformer/CIMI: Cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Transformer persons achieve goals and emotional wealth. Transformer people can become highly respected business persons. They have the ability to help others through any and all transitions with tranquility due to their spiritual strength and guidance. Communities often benefit from Transformers discipline and organization skills. They strengthen the life of pregnant women and guide them through the transitions of maternity. Establishing contact with the ancestors activates innate psychic abilities, gifts to be used as tools to assist others. Transformers can have the ability to send evil intentions telepathically, this is their undoing. From these acts they lose power, easily fall into a victim role and begin to manipulate with a vengeance. A good day to tie all loose ends.
Cherokee, Twins/ TAKATO’KA: Twins symbolize the Female Sun and Male Moon, whose union keeps the world going round. Cherokee myth has the Morning Star heralding the Sun, Venus, also being the Evening Star as representing the TWINS. The energy brings major changes all throughout life, riding the tsunamis of earthquake and upheaval, making their own waves wherever they go. They undergo powerful transformations, alternating like a flashing neon sign. The challenge is to master Balance while experiencing Chaos leading to re-birth and abundance through infinity.

UPDATE ON A LIFE DREAM:
On 4 Sun/AHAU I was able to make the reservations for the trip to celebrate Ian Lungold’s Mayan birthday, 12 Sun/AHAU, on October 31st along with the observance of the Day of the Dead. It felt important to the information I would share in my book. I’m grateful to be part of such a flow of Love, more necessary that money, for the realization of my dream. You are already the blessing of just being here. (But you could help me spread the word.) much love, in lak’ech, Debra https://www.gofundme.com/life-dream-a-pilgrimage-of-spirit
