3 Deer / MANIK – A Quickening of Spirit: Day 3 of 13

MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL

3 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

On Tone 3 we are moved to take action on an Intention of Spirit. When we communicate an idea, or engage a movement toward it, we create a Vibration of Spirit. The frequency of the Vibration will be created by the Meaning and Purpose. Tone 3 establishes Agreement of a point A and point B, and connects the Power of the 2. Greater than the sum of the parts, Human and Spirit in the Harmony and Equity of Right Relationship, engage a Divine Trinity.

Deer/MANIK is an Instrument of Divinity, called the bringer of all Spiritual Tools. MANIK is the Day Sign of the Mayan priest. Like the Deer, the priest fulfills the Meaning and Purpose of observing the calendar and carrying out the Sacred Rituals and Ceremonies on behalf of the Whole. Deer is a Pure Vibration of Love.

The Deer’s greatest strength lies in its Vigilant Observation. MANIK is related to the stability of 4 with 4 legs, 1 planted in each of the 4 directions to uphold the pillars of the realm of Spirit. The glyph illustrates Deer’s connection to Divine Power is a Hand that grasps a thread of the Ether of the Divine. The means to grasp it is the circle on the Hand, the Vigilant Eye of the Deer.

The Deer knows its direction by Remembering the Pillars of its Truth in Spirit. Through its attention to Spirit, the Hand completes a circuit of Divine Power. Deer holds the Power of Harmonic Resonance, a Pure Vibration of Love and Humility. Carrying out a Divine Communion on behalf of the Whole, others are inclined to follow. The priest Remembers on behalf of the Whole.

A Deer can stand it’s ground without the need to defend or convince anyone else to agree. MANIK symbolizes the Hand of God in the world, as a Living Demonstration of a Divine Relationship. Our Spirits are attracted by the Witness of Divine Love. When one person lights a candle for Love, more are likely to follow.

Deer/MANIK is the Day Sign of Spiritual Tools. The Deer’s most important Spiritual Tool is Vigilant Observation. Deer upholds the pillars of Spirit with 4 legs, one planted in each of the 4 directions. Deer holds the Inner Strength to stand on its Truth. The Deer’s Truth can stand on its own, investing the Time and Effort to take a look all around. Deer silently defends its Truth. Deer’s Truth has already been well-discerned. It knows what it knows without needing someone else to agree. It simply intends to carry on with based on the Truth of its discernment.

MANIK marks the destiny of the Mayan priest. The Mayan priest doesn’t try to convince anyone to go along. They have dedicated themselves by Intention to a path of Spirit. They carry out the rituals and ceremonies marked by the calendars on behalf of the Whole. The priest doesn’t have to drum up any business. When others see the Mayan priest building the Fires of Sacred Ceremony, they are naturally drawn to together by what they observe and feel. One Heart filled with Love in Communion with the Creator, grasps the thread of Ether that connects our Hearts to share the Unconditional Love that overflows.

Deer resides in the West, the direction of our life’s Unknown journey. Holding the Element of Water, Deer touches our emotions. The Element of Water holds the Ether of Spirit, used by the Mayan priest for Baptisms, Blessings, and Purification. Deer holds the Spiritual Tools to overcome every Human limitation.

The Mayan priest offers Blessings for every new Beginning. Our first Divine Movement can be to follow the Deer. Following the Deer we’ll spend time on our knees in Communion with the Creator, completing a Divine Circuit of Power. It only takes One to “Kneel Believing” for others to follow.

To all my relations, may our first Movement be to Kneel in Humility before an altar. May our Dream be the Offering. May we give thanks for the Provision to Bring it for a Blessing. May we ask that our Dream be Perfected by Divine Will. May we follow a Divine Way, standing on our Choices for Happiness and Love, so others can choose Happiness too. May we See and Acknowledge the Truth of a Divine Relationship. May we navigate the Unknown standing on the Truth that God is always With Us Now. May we “Be Here Now” too.

in lak’ech, i am another you

3 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

  1. unbelievable synchronicity (LOL)…I literally just pushed ‘send’ on a letter that took me a week to write, after too many words already fallen on deaf ears…and just before I pushed ‘send’ I said to myself, ‘Ok, once it’s out there…’ – no hesitation, I sent it. and then I came to your post…gracias a Dios para todo, la vida tiene muchos Milagros. this is going to be a day of movement, no doubt, as I released the fox from his cage – and there are many blessings to be grateful for. I am humbled. Thank you D for being so in tune…so we both are, at least for today. (after yesterday I am indeed grateful!) aloha nui loa en lak’ech so much love ~e
