8 Deer / MANIK – A Walk with a Supreme Creator: Day 8 of 13

8 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

8 Deer/MANIK initiates a Transformation by Seeing and Believing. The Peak Tone 8 represents the Zenith Hour of the Sun’s Illumination.

Every Transformation is built upon the Higher Ground of our last Ascension. In the last trecena of the Tzolk’in we were guided by the Deer/MANIK. The Intention of MANIK’s trecena of “Light” was to inspire us with a Divine Meaning and Purpose To Be. We Ascended with the Truth that we were given all the Spiritual Tools we need to carry out the mission, along with a Divine Provision of Unconditional Love for every Human limitation.

Regenerated by the Lightning of Storm/CAUAC we were Delivered into the Light. Our hearts were turned to a “Home” within, an altar where the Power of Love would be forged for the Unbridled Freedom To Be.

Deer/MANIK gave us a Sacred Mission of Divine Power… through a Choice to sacrifice our Free Will to the Divine Will of the Creator. Offering our Most Sacred Right To Be, the Love between the Above and the Below would manifest a magnetic force of Light through the darkness of our Unknown.

On the Peak Tone 8, Deer/MANIK returns in its Zenith Light to manifest the Wisdom of its Truth – the Truth of the Love that is Balanced between the Above and the Below, and the magnetic Power of Love. MANIK holds the Gift of Harmonic Resonance, a Pure Vibration of Love that draws Human Consciousness to the One Divine Song of the Universe.

HOLY DAY: Initiation/Celebration of the Mayan Priest
The Holy Days of the Tzolk’in are said to mark milestones in the lives of Human. The Maya routinely observe their Sacred Ceremonies and Celebrations on the 8th and 9th Tones, which are acknowledged as the Most Sacred Numbers. Tone 8 is the Number of “Pure Spirit.” 8 is the Number of that reflects the Creator’s Highest Intention of Divine Justice. 8 represents the Infinity of the Creator’s Love and its Power and Intention to raise our Faith to Believing. The Holy Day of 8 Deer/MANIK is a Celebration of the Energy of the Mayan priest, and a Day of Initiation for those who have Chosen to Dedicate themselves to Serve at an altar on behalf of the Whole.

The “nahauls” are described by Christensen’s commentary and translation of the Popol Vuh as an Essence of Consciousness. Each of the Day Signs reflect a Perspective, a Prevailing Consciousness that is a “body of thought.” We discover our Self when we track our own prevailing thoughts of unconsciousness and bring them into the Light. A Divine Way to connect with the daily energy of the Tzolk’in is to check in with our own thoughts throughout the day. The unrecognized thoughts on our mind hold the Wisdom for Transformation and reflect our Unity with one another and the Universe.

Once you see it, you will know the Truth you have been looking for within yourself. To see it, requires the Vigilant Consciousness of the Deer to look beyond the surface of our daily experiences. A human nahaul, a set of thoughts is invisibly operating in our background that holds a treasure of personal Truth and Wisdom. Through a Mission that leads us to an altar, we invite Divine Thoughts into our Consciousness that Illuminate the Truths about our Self that Human eyes are limited to see.

Deer/MANIK resides in the West, the direction of our Human journey into the Unknown. Holding the Element of Water, used by the Mayan priest for Baptisms, Purification, and Initiations, MANIK offers a Blessing to our Heart. The Deer’s nahaul is Vigilant Consciousness, an Intention to See and Acknowledge the Truth of the Creator’s Divine Provisions of Love. The Deer is said to uphold the Pillars of a Divine Realm of Spirit with one foot firmly planted in each of the 4 directions. MANIK is capable to Stand on a Truth that at a Divine Altar we are Seen by the Light.

The Whole of the Creator’s Love can only be seen through Vigilant Consciousness as a Light that ALWAYS shines. The only way to know it all is to be Seeing it All the Time. The Light of the Creator’s Love is a Manifestation of Beauty. The Beauty of Unconditional Love, like a Lightning Display from One Divine Source to Grasp every Human HAND that reaches for a Light of Hope and makes a Leap of Faith.

Human eyes are always drawn to the Light. The Light of Pure Spirit is a Divine Fireworks Show that Illuminates the Darkness. When Hearts are connected between the Above and the Below at an altar, the magnetic Power of Love emits the Leaders of Lightning that displays the Love for the Whole.

The Divine Justice for an Intention to walk like the Deer and to Stand on the Truth known to our Heart, is to Realize we Chose to Be Here Now with the Divine Creator as our own Highest Intention. Our Heart, through a nahaul and Essence of Pure Spirit, will KNOW what the Divine Will of the Creator would be.

In the Divine Balancing of the Above and the Below, the Divine Justice for Grasping for a Divine Communion with the Light, so were we Grasped by a Lightning of Love from the Above that reached down to complete the circuit to the Full Light of the Creator’s Love.

Sun/AHAU’s Intention for Being is to Illuminate all things hidden in the shadows and hidden in plain sight. Most of ALL, AHAU’s Justice is to Illuminate the Truth of Unconditional Love. The Light that is Eternal to Illuminate the Beauty of Life on Earth, was meant for Seeing.

The Communion of Pure Spirit that is generated when Human Grasps and is Grasped by a Divine Power Above, is a Firework that is Seen, Felt, and Witnessed by our Pure Spirit.

All the while we Intended to See God With Us, we were Unconditionally Loving a Divine Creator. LOVE IS Being Seen and Acknowledged for the Beauty that we Are. God shines an Eternal Light to See Us with the Whole Truth. We are Sacred for bearing the Time to know that we are Seen from Above.

Our Divine Justice for a Walk of Faith is to Know we have been Seen by the Creator and Acknowledged for a Divine Mission.

The Elders say there are many ways to accomplish the same thing. Deer/MANIK’s Intention was for us to Know and Use all our Spiritual Tools of Spirit. Each Sacred Day offers one perspective of the all-in-one that we can hold in our thoughts at the altar. In the cosmology of the Maya, words of the Ancestors and the Creators were Sacred. Ceremonies and Rituals were Sacred, as Divine Expressions of Movement that were passed down as a Divine Inheritance.

To Speak the Words, to observe the rituals and ceremonies shared by those who carried out the Mission of the Mayan Priest, was to invite their Wisdom to Live on in our body of Consciousness. Through the Observation of Sacred Ceremony, we are the Living Proof that the Thoughts and Ways they shared are still a living influence in our own Consciousness. This was the Whole Circle of Life of The Creation, that we would Realize a Truth that we can See One Another beyond the Boundaries of Time or Space. When we Look, our Divine Justice is to See.

Jen, our Daykeeper friend at Lake Atitlan shared the photo above of a gathering for Sacred Ceremony in Guatemala. Red is the color of the East, the place of Divine Inspiration, and a color that represents Spiritual Medicine. The Mayan priests are recognized by the red covering on their head.

The ceremonial fires of the Maya are embellished with colored candles, the aromatic of copal, tobacco, sugar, candies or chocolate, and many flowers, illustrating the Sweetness of Life, the Beauty of Spirit, and the Smoke that carries our Prayers to the Creator.

Today holds a Purpose to Identify our Self by the Divine Choice we made. Within the Choice is the Truth of our Divinity. In these times many of us are scattered or alone without the community our Ancestors knew to carry out the ceremony of initiation on our behalf.  The Elders say it is always Good and Worthy to Initiate our Self. 8 Deer/MANIK presents us with Time for this Sacred Purpose.

Those who have chosen the Deer’s path are called to the fire today. They are called to be recognized and received for an Initiation of Spirit. At a ceremony of Initiation, we would be smudged off. The Elders asked that we place our Spiritual Tools near the Fire to receive a Blessing on Holy Ground. You might Choose a Sacred Object to be Blessed for your altar.

Today is a milestone in your life. Look at where you’re standing. This place is Your Holy Ground. You were drawn to this Time and Place by your own Divine Choice. Honor YOUR PATH. You are the Author of your own Divine Choice.

To all my relations, may we Kneel in Gratitude to be Seen and Loved. May we imagine our Light being woven together as we stand together in the presence of God. May we hear our own name called to receive the Blessing of Holy Water. May we remember the Day we were Seen for the Sacred Choice to follow a path of Beauty and Love.

in lak’ech, i am another you

8 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below”. From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “Neat Freaks”.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. • Hi Spo – It is a different version of the glyph I generally use for the Deer. It was a favorite, though it wasn’t created in a resolution high enough for a big t-shirt print. It shows the eye of the Deer a little better. It’s always good to SEE your face standing over there in phoenix. much love, in lak’ech, Debra
