THE TRECENA OF SEED/KAN: THE TRUTH WITHIN
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Peak Tone 7 marks the end of Human’s climb to the Highest Truth Above. The 13 Tones reflect the 7 days of The Creation, as 7 days and 6 nights. Tone 7 marks the Center of 3.5 days, and the limit of Human’s Intention to Love. The pyramids were Human’s highest reach above the canopy to the Heart of Sky.
From the Highest Perspective we can see “all that is” and “all that is not” the Truth. When the Heart of the Human Seed is broken, the Spark is a Sign for the future. The Truth to be found within it is the hidden treasure.
Number 7 is the symbol of the Great Law of Creation, “As Above, So Below.” ALL the Love that is sacrificed as an Offering will be marked by the Hand of Beauty and threads of Truth that can’t be picked apart.
Dog/OC is the symbol of Unconditional Love, holding position 10 – the manifestation of the Higher One from a sacrifice of our Heart’s Desire, the 9 that is the choice to give everything away to Be an Only One. Today we can see “all that is” written within our Seed of Love, and the Divine Justice our heart knows “must be” in some Time and Place.
Dog/OC engages all it’s Divine Senses to see the Sparks buried everywhere, like hidden treasures, waiting to reach the Sun where our legs can stand. We CAN be trained by the Master to kneel and obey.
Human offerings of Love, like the Dog, can look messy. The Truth of the Beauty is seen in the Dog’s eyes.
Dog/OC holds Element of Air, the Breath of Life and the Breath of Spirit. All the Reasons To Be and To Love are written in the wind. Through the Sacred Breath we are offered a way to Raise the Truth in our Heart and Mind. The Truth is too beautiful to feel and just let go. We can claim Love was a Seed planted on Earth to remember human’s highest hope.
The Element of Air reflects an Experience of Thought and the Truth that leads to Wisdom. One Truth can change our mind, if we choose to see things from a Higher Perspective of Love. Seed/KAN is a journey of Truth that can be known through the Truth of a Divine Design, and the way every Seed must grow.
As well as the Instructions for growing a Seed, so are there instructions for the One who plants the Seed to Grow. By the Aztec tradition, Ītzpāpālōtl is the Divine Mother, an Obsidian Butterfly. She is in charge of every Seed of Life and the Time for them to grow. She is the Divine Mother with the claws, shown on either side of the Ollin, the Center of Time. No Seed begins a journey, that she hasn’t prepare a way. The claws are there to tear apart anything that stands in the way of our Life.
Through the eyes of the Seed, we can imagine how it feels when your heart is cracked open and then all you see is darkness all around. At the end of every day, the Seed knows it’s reached higher ground, yet again in the morning the darkness lingers as it turns around to see where a light flickered, then disappeared.
By Aztec tradition, the Seed/KAN journey is the Lizard, another little dragon. The 13 days of this trecena are governed by the meting out of irrational rewards and punishments. These are 13 days of confusion, a time when the noble and ignoble have equal chance to be raised up or thrown down. The warrior must be like the lizard, who is not hurt from a high fall but, instead, immediately climbs back to its perch. These are good days to keep out of sight; bad days to attract attention.
It’s a good thing that the Seed of our Love is hidden away for a time until we reach the Truth. Invisibility offers time for the inner workings that balance Above and Below. Digging through the dirt, is a good time to keep our mouth closed. Ītzpāpālōtl tended to our Seed and planted us near the surface, so we wouldn’t have so far to go.
3 is the Divine Number that holds exponential Power of Truth when 3 is created by 2 as 1. One Divine Truth always manifests the reach for another.
Dog/OC is the Truth that Love will always be and will always Belong in the Hand Above. The Dog is faithful to the end to protect the Pack. Once the Dog has brought you a gift of Love, the Treasure is buried where all the matters of the Heart belong. Disseminated to the Wind, Love can reach the heights.
To all my relations, may we See how a Fire that flickers can trigger a flame. Our heart leaps to Life at every scent of the Dream we thought was too late to come true. The Dog leads Love back to the Heart of Sky.
There is a Divine Place in Time, not far out of reach, where needs for Love will be met, Above and Below.
7 Dog/OC marks the “end of the road.” The Dog knows the Feeling of Love Lost and Love Found. Tomorrow is the Tzolkin New Year. We are returning Home to the place where a “journey to know time” is marked for a New Beginning.
What did we learn? Did we find enough Love to carry on?
7 Dog/OC was the 260th day, the last day of the Daykeeper’s round. The last day felt like the hardest day with only one more journal to go. So close, and yet I feared all could be lost if I didn’t have at least 3 paragraphs with SOMETHING to say.
My final offering was the “best of the least that I could do.”
May we count our Blessings at the Threshold that will lead us to the Beginning of our New Life. May we know we are here because we were invited. Each day marks a standing stone of Love destined for its most beautiful place in Time.
in lak’ech, i am another you

7 Dog/OC (Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI)
Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.
Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.
Cherokee, Wolf/KANA’TI: Wolf is symbolized by Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time. Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots. Wolves are a connecting link between the worlds; ones who inspire loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.
