THE TRECENA OF WISDOM/CIB: AN ILLUMINATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
9 Seed/KAN, (Cherokee Dragon/UKTE’NA O’STO), Destiny Kin 204, Position 4
October 9, 2023, 10/09/2023
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Peak Tone 9 raises the Intention of Patience to see the Bigger Picture. Number 9 represents a completion, as the symbol of a whole investment in the “lower place” that creates the “higher one” (10). There is said to be suffering to bear for lack of Insight, if we fail to take this step.
The 9th hour falls when the work for the day is done. It’s Human’s Common way to step back to see where we stand at the end of the day. Some days are better than others. Even on our worst days we know there’s another chance. “Tomorrow is another day.”
KAN represents the “dragon energy” written in the Seed. A Seed knows what it is intended to be, along with all the conditions that are right to reach its highest potential. A Divine Dream was written in Human’s Heart.
9 Seed/KAN offers Time and a Gift of Retrospection to “know thyself.” 9 Seed/KAN is a day to make a thorough inspection of our Self. “Who am I? What do I want?”
It’s always worthy to consider “What did I want at the beginning? What’s changed? Why?”
Every Seed is born free of karma. Life with the Sacred Right of Choice means we were born with the Right to our own Conscious. Seed/KAN reminds us that we aren’t obligated to anyone, when it comes to who we Dream to be. We have the right to say “no.” To be who we Dream to be, we have to say “yes” to our life.
The Elders said, “You were given a Life. What will you do with it?”
There are Times when we are more Conscious of the Questions than others. Times to Know are written within our Seed. I faced the question on my 50th birthday. I was tired of trying to be someone everyone else wanted me to be. It was the year 2000, which sounded like the end of the world when I was starting out in life. I prayed to live to 50 to see it. I knew at 50 that if I didn’t “be myself” I’d never know what my life could be.
9 Seed/KAN is a Time like that to see the Creator’s Big Picture by Truth of our Heart’s Desire. We were designed for it. A Divine Creator didn’t share a Dream without the ways and means to go with it.
All those questions are raised by doubts and fears, left to Human’s mind of reason. It’s Time for a thorough investigation of our Self. That can sound like a bad thing, when our natural inclination is to review what’s wrong with us. As long as we’re seeing what’s “wrong” we’re on the right track to do it “right” tomorrow. If we’re wise, we’ll just shoot for better.
The Truth was written in our Seed. We are growing up as we were intended to be. This is it. We’re being our Divine “I Am.”
We’re reaching like the flowers. Only, we are given the Choice where we’ll put down roots. A Light within is leading us there.
When we take the Time to see the Creator’s Big Picture, there’s always a way and a perfect Time for Everything. Now is the perfect Time for whatever we’re going through. We don’t have to know why, or how, when we remember who’s in charge.
I’ve gotten off-track waiting for a Solar Eclipse to be the end-all finish of everything that doesn’t feel right. I’m trying to learn all the lessons I can. Now I can’t tell if I’m over-correcting from a mind of reason. I don’t know what the heck I’m doing. That’s good. I’m a student ready to learn.
I have learned to say “no.” A Divine Creator will teach me how and when to say “yes.”
We all have a lot on our mind. We bear the suffering of the whole. We can choose to do it without obligation when there’s a Divine Reason Why. We were born to be an Offering to the Whole, a Light shining somewhere in the world.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time.
4TH SEASON: 1 Wisdom/CIB begins the 4th Season of the Tzolk’in – VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020)
NOTE: You can also look at dates from a different direction. What is the Destiny Kin number of your day sign’s 3rd tone? You may have overlooked a life-changing day. Use the Kin Calculator offered on the Daykeeper’s Resource Page for a date six years before or after. If you are just starting to count the days and don’t have a journal from the last round, when something major happens in your life you can look to see if there was a major event on that same date before. You can also look for Signs in the “distance of time” – the number of days between one 13 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee, Eagle/UWO’HATLI)Calculator linked on the resources page. Example – 33 days is a symbol of a day that you actualize the Truth from the beginning date.

Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine, plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Seed/KAN: Family, sexual activity and the magic of germination are the characteristics of this sun sign. Natural net workers, Seed people strive to free themselves and others from debt or oppressive patterns of the past. Abundance is gathered by Seeds as if with a cast net. Seed persons are public defenders who work toward uniting community by discovering hidden traps and secret influences of others. To generate true abundance, Seed must learn to appreciate all gifts and lessons received and conduct profound investigations into its self. In the absence of gratefulness and the courage to face oneself, Seed finds itself in less than less fertile environments.
A GOOD DAY TO: Plant, make new contacts, reconnect with others.
Cherokee, Dragon/UKTE’NA O’STO: Dragon’s symbol is Draco winding between the Little Dipper and Big Dipper. Dragon is the Corn Spirit, symbol of dual personality of Corn Mother and Maiden. Fertility and pro-creation from generation to generation. The word dragon means ” eye, to look at, to see clearly”. Spirit brings energy of Lawgiver, Justice, vigilance and protective, loyal unto death. Ley lines in China are “dragon lines”, energy is sometimes called “orgone energy”, pyramid power or magnetic force. Pyramids and kivas are collector portals for this energy, known as vortexes. Dragon energy beats a path everywhere, stirring things up with a big stick in tune with the beat of the drum, heartbeat of the Earth.
