THE TRECENA OF CROCODILE/IMIX: DAWN OF A NEW AWAKENING
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
9 Offering/MULUC, Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA, Destiny Kin 9, Position 9
December 13, 2023 (12/13/2023); Last Round: March 28, 2023 (03/28/2023)
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Offering/MULUC is a symbol of the Moon, Emotions, and Water everywhere from the Cosmos to our own Tears. The Full Moon raises the tides of our Emotions. MULUC holds the Element of Fire. Fire is an Energy of Transmutation: a conversion, the act of “changing the properties of the source from one use or function or purpose to another.”
Offering/MULUC is the symbol of the “Christ Spirit” and the Power to be changed through by a Sacrifice on behalf of the whole. The Elders say that an Offering should reflect the value we receive in return. The Creator promises an Atonement with every Offering.
We put thought into the gifts we choose for those we Love. We invest our heart when we imagine how the gift will be received. The Sacred Exchange completes an end of Loving back and forth.
Number 9 is a symbol of the Highest Value we can offer from the “lower place.” Number 9 is a Divine Symbol of 3 x 3, where the “X” defines an expression of exponential value. Number 9 is a symbol of a value that proves itself through every expression. No matter how you multiply 9, the value is easily confirmed by an answer that resolves to 9. Number 9 is a powerful symbol of completion and MULUC completes an Atonement through a demonstration of Love made “real” in the realm of physicality, “As Above, So Below.

9 “completes” all the platonic solids as the sum resolved by all the angles. Our Faith is proven in the 9th Hour by an Investment of the heart to the “nth degree.” In music the 9th chord is the one that moves us to anticipate a resolution of Harmony.
Master Number 99:
Tone 9 and MULUC’s Position 9 reflect the Number 99. The value of a symbol is magnified by every repetition. Symbols become “Signs” when see them 3 times in a row. The symbol 99 can also be expressed as 3+3+3 + 3+3+3. Number 99 is comprised of the vibrations of number 9 appearing twice, amplifying its influences and energies. Number 99 relates to the attributes and energies of communication, inner-strength, leadership and leading by positive example, selflessness, a higher perspective, intuition and inner-wisdom, humanitarianism and altruism, spiritual awakening and enlightenment, serving others and lightworking, the Universal Spiritual Laws and your Divine life purpose. Number 9 also relates to endings and conclusions.
As the number 9 resonates with endings and closures, the message of Angel Number 99 may be that certain aspects of your life are coming to a close and/or an important phase or cycle is coming to an end. Trust that this is happening for very karmic reasons which will become evident in the very near future. (Source: SacredScribes Angel Numbers)
9 Offering/MULUC calls for Patience to see the Big Picture. We’re called to bring a Gift to the Creator as the Highest Object of our Affection. It calls for an Investment of the Heart. We begin by Counting our Blessings for everything we’ve already received, and the Sacred Exchange we expect to receive in return. The Creator promised Atonement, “a reparation or expiation for sin.” What would you give to have the consequences of all your “sins” washed away?
Offering/MULUC holds a Power to heal our wounded Heart on a mass scale. The glyph represents a single drop raised up to be seen and acknowledged by the Highest One. We are One with the Whole body of Water on Earth. Our Heart is changed by a sincere expression of our Faith. The Light of Truth in Divine Trinity, Above and Below, sends ripples through the whole. Through the whole investment of the Heart on behalf of the whole, we can expect a return on a mass scale.
The Highest Offerings have no financial value. Acts of Faith are doing good and conducting our self in a way that honors God. In the Christian faith we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ to honor the ultimate Sacrifice for the Salvation of the Whole. The hardest sacrifice to make is to let go of our Human Emotions. It’s the Death to our Ego. We have to See and Acknowledge the Truth that we have nothing worthy to bring to the One who promises Life and Love will go on forever. There’s nothing worthy to bring to One who sees us as “white as snow,” like we were in the beginning.
There are 9 Fruits of the Spirit that Prove the Divine Condition of our Heart:
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Forbearance
- Kindness
- Goodness
- Faithfulness
- Gentleness
- Self-control
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Human’s “good works” are proven by the 9 fruits of Spirit. It feels “impossible” to carry it out. All we need is a Higher Cause.
“Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:23 doubles down on the idea that this would be a good gift. Plus, everything on the list is the way we’d Love to See our Self. We never feel alone when we Love our own company.
The Lesson of Picking
The Elders taught the way of picking that completes the Sacred Exchange. We were led into a field of Yarrow. We were told to look for large families, allowing the ones that grow alone to multiply. Before we reached for a stem we asked permission and express gratitude for the sacrifice. If one stem didn’t easily give way, we let it be and reached for another. We left a blessing for the whole family for the sacrifice and left a piece of our self with the offering – a piece of hair, or human spittal.
You can do the same thing at the grocery store. We can see and acknowledge the Truth of the sacrifice. We can carry out the blessing on behalf of those that were taken without any thought. We can also remember the hand that planted the seed and all the human hands that worked hard for the blessing that will be shared at our table. The Elders say All things want to be seen and acknowledged. Our Heart will feel the Truth of our Consciousness of One Another.
This is a day to Honor your Feelings and the Feelings of everyone, and all living things in the Natural World. We need our Human Emotions to reveal the wound that can be Healed by Love. That’s the “shadow work” of turning darkness to a meaning and purpose of Light.
Offering/MULUC can raise the tides of our Human Emotions. No human can break our heart when we know God doesn’t see us that way.
The Cherokee Day sign is The River, the Living Water of Mother Earth that follows a course of least resistance back to the body of the Whole. At the Delta all the earthly matters fall away as we’re drawn into Unity with the Spirit of the Whole.
This is a day to offer a blessing to water everywhere, and to pray for the blessing of pure, clean water in Harmony and Equity with the Whole.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

Hebrew 12:9-21 – Love in Action
9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.
17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
The 9th Chord leads us to anticipate a Divine Resolution at the Highest End of the Major Scale.

Crocodile/IMIX is the first trecena in the first season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. The guide includes the overview for each trecena and the aspects for every day, so you can discern the Meaning of Time as it applies to your own Time and Place. It’s interesting to calculate the major dates in your life. You might discover they happened on the same Tzolk’in date. The calendar is written within. The Order is what we are naturally inclined to do. When you keep a daily journal to track your thoughts, you’ll see history repeat itself when the same matters are on your mind on the same day of every Tzolk’in round, only on a higher scale. One time around I overcame a fear of driving through Seattle rush-hour traffic. The next time, I was overcoming my fear to make a solo pilgrimage to the Mayan ruins of Ek’ Balam.

9 Offering/MULUC (Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA) – Day 9 of 13, 1 Crocodile/IMIX trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 9: Patience. The energy of Nine is one of the getting a better perspective of the bigger picture. With the energy of Nine plans or patterns begin to come to completion. Nine requires patience and perseverance that is found in the bigger picture, otherwise there is great suffering from the lack of insight. The completion of cycles of action is all-important to Nine.
Offering/MULUC: Also known as the sign of water. Ceremonially, Maya use water as an offering in baptisms and purifications. These ceremonies are done to bring about a collective strength, adaptability and harmony. In sincere appreciation, Offering people gladly give more than they ask for themselves. Offering persons are dynamic communicators with great intelligence making them excellent employers. Like a shaken vessel of water, Offering people regain equilibrium quickly. Also like a body of water, there may be deep undercurrents of emotion and hidden dangers. Others perceive these as hidden agendas in offering people and so extend them little trust and may even slap blame on them.
A GOOD DAY TO: Offer appreciation for all of creation.
Cherokee, The River/YUN’WI GUNNAHI’TA: The River is symbolized by The Milky Way, the Gihli’Utsun’stanun’yi “Where the Dog Ran” to gather the souls for Heaven. The River is the minion for Grandfather Moon. Long Man is the personification of the River stretching from the mountains to the lowlands, speaking to those who can understand. People of this sign find “sermons in the stones” and good in everything. These souls march to a different drummer, driven by inner volcanic forces. The Moon controls our fluid cycle, to clear and understand emotional issues. When you take this step to clear the emotional body, then you are ready for transformational energies at the next level. As humans, our actions are ruled by our emotions, the key is to understand the connection and honor the emotions.
