Greetings Beloved Kin,

4 Dog / OC

HOLY OBSERVANCE: GLOBAL BURNER DAY
4 Dog/OC is a Global Burner Day, the first of 4 reside at the center of each Season of the Tzolk’in round. Global Burners always fall on the 4th Tone of Stability. Dog/OC in Position 10 resides at the top of the uinal pyramid as a living demonstration of the Creator’s Unconditional Love.

Fire is used by many traditions as a symbol of Divinity. Lighting the candles at the altar marks the beginning of Time dedicated to the Sacred Purpose. Fire holds the power of transmutation, the changing of matter from one form into another. The Mayan priest carries out the Sacred Fire Ceremony for the Intention to release residual energy that no longer serves, and to restore Right Relationship in the Community. Congregations fall silent for the invocation that calls for the presence of the Creator’s Spirit.

Dog/OC resides in the North, the up-above direction of Wisdom. The Element of Air feeds the Fire within through our songs and spoken prayers. Air relates to our Human faculties of Consciousness and Life. We attend the service with an Intention to receive the Creator’s Wisdom.

The Element of Fire turns our thoughts from Human matters to Divine Intentions. The Divinity of the Creator’s Truth holds the Power to change our mind.

Tone 4 is symbolized by the cube, the most stable of all forms. The space within is defined by the equal dimensions of height, width, and length. The Elders described walking as a movement of falling between steps. We begin in stability and fall forward to the next step. In the first season of the Tzolk’in we are learning to walk by Spirit. Deer/MANIK is guiding a way to maintain our stability. We were given the freedom to create our own rituals and ceremonies, and symbols that draw our thoughts to the purpose. The smell of incense in the Air turns our thoughts when we associate the experience to our prayers. Dog/OC guides us to engage as many senses as we can to magnify the Reality of our Experience.

In the 4th hour of Light the Maya arrived at the field of corn and reviewed the lay of the land. When we arrive at work we devise a strategy for what we’ll do, where we’ll start and how we’ll end. Things we do in Common are a sign of the Divine Design.

We can create the boundaries and parameters of our thoughts. Tone 4 creates the “rules of the game.”

We can decide in advance which thoughts we’ll follow, and the thoughts we’ll turn away. We plan every other important conversation in advance. We can have a strategy for the conversations we have with our Self.

Be mindful of the way you speak to yourself. Your subconscious mind will believe what you keep repeating to yourself. Tone 4 reminds us to be mindful all ALL the worldly stimuli we feed to our Heart, Mind, and Soul.

In the first season of the Tzolk’in round, we’re growing up. We’re just a sprout that looks the same as every other sprout. Like a child, our arms are  still wide open to all the ideas of who we can be. Don’t let anyone throw shade over your Divine Possibilities. It throws us off-balance when we start questioning our self. Remember, we were created from the Seed that already knows. By Divine Design all our “wild ideas” are solid steps that keep us moving in a forward direction.

Divine Ways are contrary to Human ways. We are thrown off track when we try to prove who we are. (It takes a lifetime to know.) Communications are easier to get right when all we do is listen.

“Popularity” isn’t much of a prize, when the adoring fans are other Humans operating from the Ego. First they’ll want to lead your fan club. In the end, they want to be the first to share your inevitable fall from grace. Right Relationships come in small numbers and two-sided conversations expressed one to one. You’ve felt like one to one, and I love knowing more about you.

Dog/OC is the Perfect 10. He has his 1 pal the Monkey, the Perfect 11 who likes to have fun and not take anything personally. They are the perfect two-in-one as the Creator’s children.

The Divine 10 is always at our side. When we walk away, thinking everything we’d REALLY love to say, the Creator will agree. In Revelations the Lord tells John he has to Love everyone the way he Loved in the beginning to make it through the gates of Heaven. (One theory is John of Palamos is one and the same as John the Baptist. If he still had work to do, we’re hopeless without a Divine Provision.) The Lord also said “I know, I hate evil too.” Speaking our mind to the Creator manifests a Divine Relationship. Love allows us to speak our mind when we need to vent some residual energy.

A Divine Creator intended Faith, Hope and Charity, loving back and forth. That’s the only way Love makes sense.

The Dog is the symbol of the Creator’s faithfulness and loyalty that will abide beyond Death. The Dog is the Master at our side that leads us back to our “home” in the Stars. The Monkey expresses the Beauty of Love that finds the Humor in our limitations. A Hallmark movie quote is my favorite expression of Love, “I’ve seen the best and worst of them and I can’t tell the difference.”

It would be Heaven on Earth if we could all see each other that way.

love, in lak’ech, i am another you

ENERGY REPORT: The strongest solar flare of this 25 year cycle has SOME effect on our sense of balance and well-being. The body knows when you are giving it some extra tender loving care. Maybe that’s how it knows it’s Time to heal.

White is the symbol of Purity – Our Bones to Stand, and the Teeth to bite through.

THE TRECENA OF DEER/MANIK: THE SERVICE OF LOVE

The Highlights, Peak Energies, and Times of Synchronicity for this trecena are included on the  13-Day Trecena Guide.

The “Tzolk’in Field Guide” is my gift to download that includes the Count of Days with the aspects for each Destiny Kin and highlights for a personal practice with each trecena. It’s designed as a companion for daily practice.

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide. to download a free copy. Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in, and Volume 2 covers the 3rd and 4th to the end of the Tzolk’in round.

Crocodile/IMIX is the first trecena in the first season of the Tzolk’in round, found in Volume 1. The guide includes the overview for each trecena and the aspects for every day, so you can discern the Meaning of Time as it applies to your own Time and Place. It’s interesting to calculate the major dates in your life. You might discover they happened on the same Tzolk’in date. The calendar is written within. The Order is what we are naturally inclined to do. When you keep a daily journal to track your thoughts, you’ll see history repeat itself when the same matters are on your mind on the same day of every Tzolk’in round, only on a higher scale. One time around I overcame a fear of driving through Seattle rush-hour traffic. The next time, I was overcoming my fear to make a solo pilgrimage to the Mayan ruins of Ek’ Balam.

Also see Daykeeper Resources for calculators and calendar links, and the Spiritual Tools page for ways to add to cause for a higher effect.

4 Dog/OC (Cherokee, WOLF/KANA’TI)  – Day 4 of 13 of the 1 Deer/MANIK trecena

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.

Dog/OC: Courageous, loyal and warm-hearted, very alert and valiant, people born of Dog are respected for their sense of justice and their protection. People born of the sun sign Dog are very sensual and know how to enjoy life. Playfulness and a good understanding of the basic human nature lead to prosperity for Dog. Dogs are good team players who love to travel and have a keen sense of their position in society. Dogs are ambitious and will take opportunities when they offer themselves, including infidelities. Dog persons share the nature of coyotes, spies, wolves and lawyers.

A GOOD DAY TO: Enjoy family and friends.

Cherokee, WOLF/KANA’TI: Wolf’s symbol is Sirius (Dog star) and Antares, one or the other always visible but never at the same time.  Wolf is our brother, shares our very roots.  All dogs are domesticated wolves, companionship and guidance.  Connecting link between the worlds. One who inspires loyalty, diplomacy and sense of humor with unlimited potential.  A teacher, healer, pathfinder and transformer.  Sharp as obsidian, gentle as a lamb. Totem -Dog.  Loyalty and faithfulness that survives beyond death.  This was the first day of creation energy in this 4th world, sets the energy for love, loyalty and faithfulness on the 5200 year cycle.  Heart chakra energy is involved so that we can move to the state of “unconditional love” with compassion.  All sexual desire issues that are not in harmony will surface to be cleared.
