Starting from Zero, Debra Malmos 10/24/2024
We know far more than we think we do.
The Apostle Matthew is featured first in the New Testament. Though, his name is only mentioned 5 times in the bible, his words have transformed the lives of many people down through the generations.
He learned his craft as a tax collector, despised by his own people who he betrayed to live among the wealthy and rub shoulders with the upper echelon of Roman power. He was good at keeping records and exacting the penalties from those who were unable to pay their taxes. If he was like most tax collectors of that time, he also collected a commission on all the amounts he collected, leaning to his own favor. He was despised by many of the Disciples when he started to follow Jesus. He followed when Jesus Forgave and he knew Love.
From his past he learned to record details. He learned that money can’t buy happiness. He learned that he owed a debt to the people he betrayed, to see the Truth, admit his transgressions, and to Give something back in the measure of what was taken.
We learned something the hard way and God’s intention is to use it. We learned the Truth and gained the Wisdom to understand by our own experience, and God promises to turn all things to the Highest Good for those who love him.
The Apostle Simon/Peter become the “Rock” of the ministry that established the church.
He learned his craft as a fisherman, throwing his nets out in Faith, and through the strength and commitment required to haul them into the boat when God filled them to overflowing. He broke the laws of the Sabbath to fish, when Matthew exacted more from him than he was able to pay. Peter’s weaknesses included impulsiveness, a tendency to speak before thinking, and a susceptibility to pride and fear… denying Christ 3 times to save himself.
He knew the agony and shame of losing Faith in the one who loved him. Through impulsiveness he learned the Wisdom of Patience. Through his anger toward Matthew, he learned to forgive. His strength and commitment was applied to a mission to be a steadfast resource for Faith through a community of believers. He learned through the shame and regret of his denial to become a faithful follower and leader.
Matthew 6:24 NIV
24 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 6:33 ESV
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 11:28 NIV
28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 28:20 NIV
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Both were Chosen while they still lived in their sins. God only saw the Light of a Divine Purpose for everything we do know too well.
God’s Love is the zero point where everything turns around. From the center of Love turned outward the Beauty expands to infinity. We can stand in Faith for the darkness that only God Knows as the Truth to become the Wisdom of the Light.

10 Wisdom/CIB (Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’) – Day 10 of 13 of the 1 Deer/MANIK trecena
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom and Tzolk’in calculator preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation. What were once intentions or ideas, hopes or fears become physically present with the energy of Ten. What is focused upon with attention and intention becomes real with Ten. Ten is a powerful energy that carries a great responsibility.
Wisdom/CIB: The old ones. Wisdom of the ancients. Wisdom persons are aligned with the ancient memories that wait in the stone of temples and sacred sites all over the world. Wisdom people grow luck like a crop using a balance of prudence and tenacity. The tremendous inner strength of this sign enables silent introspection to discover areas of oneself that contain wisdom more valuable than any trove of archaeological treasure. Wisdom persons are valiant defenders of family and community. They may become hardened to life and sentiment turned cold. In these cases, they need much forgiveness for their uncaring errors. Periodically connecting with nature and or visiting sacred sites will bring great stability to wisdom persons.
A GOOD DAY TO: Sit on a rock.
Cherokee, Owl U’GUKU’ : Symbol is the Owl is Arcturus, the brightest Star in the Constellation Bootes. The Cherokee Bear constellation (Ursa Major) includes the Big Dipper plus four stars in Bootes. Owl is a hunter, who stands for the wisdom and ability of all great hunters, the cunning of a fox, the tenacity of a bulldog and strength of a bear. Energy for deep thinkers, strong-willed, rigid convictions, bold and authoritative. Owl is the Mystic Ferryman who guides Earthlings on the return path to the stars holding the torch aloft.

Yes, indeed. We stand in Truth even amidst the darkness and chaos. I love the whole book of Matthew. These are especially profound verses.
This is why I can appreciate some things, like AI, bugs (even the spider I nearly walked into that for some reason thought it was necessary to hang from a thread in front of our fridge a few minutes ago—none have ever been THERE before!).
“God’s Love is the zero point where everything turns around. From the center of Love turned outward the Beauty expands to infinity.” So many people PROVE this point! I just watched the 2 hours of Elizabeth Smart yesterday (telling her true story of her captivity when she was 13 by a man and woman who apparently had a savior complex).
