RED SPRITES OVER ITALY: You know what comes out of the bottom of a thundercloud: lightning. But do you know what comes out of the top? The answer is sprites. Sometimes when an especially fierce lightning bolt connects with the ground, a corresponding discharge leaps from the top of the cloud toward space. These “sprites” are red, fleeting, and they tend to come in bunches.

On Aug. 29th, Giacomo Venturin of Monte Tomba, Italy, photographed a bunch of sprites dancing over a storm cell 300 km away:

“The clear sky allowed me to observe several red sprites across the border in Austria,” says Venturin. “This one was generated by a lightning strike that occurred not far from Klagenfurt.”

Although sprites have been seen, off and on, for at least a century, most scientists did not believe they existed until after 1989 when sprites were photographed by cameras onboard the space shuttle. Now “sprite chasers” routinely photograph sprites from their own backyards.

LOOK FOR AURORAS MONDAY NIGHT! On Saturday, Aug. 30th, the sun hurled a CME straight toward Earth. A NASA model (above) predicts it will arrive during the late hours of Sept. 1st, potentially sparking a strong G3-class geomagnetic storm. If such a storm occurs, auroras may be photographed in US states as far south as Virginia, Missouri and Colorado on Monday night.

Mayan Calendar Time and Synchronicity

13 Earth/CABAN relates to the Forces of Nature and the Attraction between the Heart of Earth and Heart of Sky. 13 is the symbol of Ascension to a Higher Consciousness of God’s Hand in our Life, the end of the cycle of Serpent/CHICCHAN that represents the Light of the Creation that descends from Above. Earth/CABAN is the Clarion Call to the Heart that ignites the Passion to become what was written in the Seed, and to multiply an Abundant Life to infinity.

The Signs are felt within as a Quickening of Spirit that restores a Divine Meaning and Purpose for Life. The month of Elul on the Jewish calendar defines this as a Time when “the King is in the Field.” We exist in close proximity to geomagnetic forces as the Sun is positioned to cross Earth’s equator on the last day of Elul, offering equal Light to Earth, as Above, so Below.

The total Lunar Eclipse and Partial Solar Eclipse will double the Signs of a New Beginning, preceding the late Harvest Moon, October 7-8, 2025.

CABAN is the Force that initiates every Great Migration on Earth. The Force of God’s Love can regenerate our Spirit and bring us to our knees.

Elul is the 12th and final month in the Jewish calendar (the sixth month counting from Nisan). Leading up to the High Holidays, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, it is a month that connects the past year with the coming year—a time when we reflect on where we stand and where we should be going.

Every day of Elul we blow the shofar, give additional charity, and recite special Psalms. In the final days of Elul, we rise early to say Selichot, prayers asking G‑d for forgiveness.

Galactic Tone 13: Ascension; Thirteen assists us to go to the next higher step, propels us to try something new or to try again. Thirteen energy takes us over the next mountain just to see what is there. Thirteen carries the last success to the newest effort. Thirteen is a number associated with the Ascended Masters, creation, expansion, and manifestation.

Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.
