21 Days of Gratitude, Day 15 – Breathe Love

6 Wind/IK (Cherokee, Whirlwind Agalu’ga)

Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.

Wind/IK: Breath of Spirit, breath of life. Wind embodies the power of dissemination and planting of good seeds or ideas. Those born unto IK are dreamers and planners with powerful imaginations, spreading the word of inspiration as carried by the wind. Cherokee, Whirlwind Agalu’ga: The Cherokee symbol of the whirlwind is a double spiral helix in rising smoke and related to the direction of the North. In Cherokee, the constellations are represented by 12 birds (dancers) and the 13th bird is the Whirlwind, the lead dancer.

6 Wind/IK

6 Wind/IK as Air, is among the primary elements required for human survival. Our earthly lives begin with our first breath.

From the in-breath we draw our life and inspiration from source. The out-breath is the dissemination of ‘who we are’ to the world around us. How we use our voice/breath in the world always reflects the condition of our heart, whether or not that is our conscious intent.

Galactic Tone 6 calls upon our desire to be in right relationship with the world. IK exists that we may be breathed by Spirit of the highest frequency, so that the out-breath may embody harmony and love.

Breath is a healing force. Acknowledge IK with humility and gratitude and direct Wind/IK through your breath into those places in the Body, Soul and Spirit that desire to be healed. Use your out-breath and your voice to extend healing and love to the world around you.

Be breathed by Love.

Breathe love.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 13 – Creating a New World

4 Sun/Ahau (Cherokee: Flower Gun’tsi)

GLOBAL MAYAN BURNER DAY

Earth/CABAN Trecena: Explore Mayan Majix | Mayan Calendar Portal

Council Fire

Council Fire

Galactic Tone 4: Stability; the cube is most stable of all forms and establishes volume by definition of height, length, depth and breadth; 4 directions establish orientation. The energy of 4 sets the parameters, which establish the freedoms and barriers needed to create a game, work, or relationship.
Sun/Ahau: Day of the Ancestors and connection to their guidance. The divine face of the sun, lord, musician, singer, dancer, and marksman. ~Mayan Majix
Cherokee: Flower/Gun’tsi  – Symbol of the Sun, the place of abode of the Great Spirit.

Creating  a New World

4 Sun/Ahau is the day revered by the Maya as the day on which the Mayan world was born. 4 Ahau was the prophetic date used for speculation about December 21, 2012 (a 4 Ahau date) as the end of time… though, it is considered instead by the Maya as the beginning of a new cycle.

Ahau opens the connection to the Ancestors and offers the highest energy for spiritual growth on this earth walk. Through the language of light, the sun creates and nourishes, and channels information from the Ancestors to ignite our consciousness.

4 Ahau gives us the opportunity to be reborn into a new world once again. Given the “Sacred Right of Choice” we CHOOSE the world we live in. What would we choose to leave behind?

We can live in a world where we withhold no forgiveness. We can live in a world where understanding means that when we experience differences, the first effort is given toward seeing things from the other’s perspective instead of defending our own. We can lay down that which prevents us from experiencing our greatest happiness, whether it is an old (or new) resentment, a childhood wound, fears of unworthiness, fear of loss, bad habits, or perceptions of separation – ANYTHING can be healed and returned to purity.

4 Ahau is Global Burner Day – a day upon which the Mayans held ceremonial fires for purification and to call in the Ancestors. We can use the element of Fire to acknowledge this day, offering all that which we would desire to release from the past, and welcoming in the unlimited potential of a brand new world. A world centered in unconditional love is the place of the highest joy possible.

Peace on Earth is an inside job. Bring your cares to the fire, release them to the past, and create your new world.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 12 – Alignment with Purpose

3 Storm/CAUAC (Cherokee, Redbird Totsu’hwa)

Galactic Tone 3: Movement and communication which becomes vibration; establishing a point of agreement between any Point A and Point B

Storm/CAUAC: Day of blessing of rain, giver of all life and lightning, a gift of nitrogen to Mother Earth and ozone to Father Sky; feeling of unity, security and warmth experienced in the home while tempest of trouble rages in the world outside. Storms exist to experience the ecstasy of freedom with great capacity to learn and teach. Cherokee, Redbird Totsu’hwa: Symbol Alcyone, of the Pleiades constellation Taurus; the Central Sun of the Universe, heart of heaven; symbol of nurturing, the lightening nurtures and energizes.

Alignment with Purpose

3 Storm/CAUAC brings the movement of dynamic developments and change, clearing away what no longer serves. As Storm/CAUAC draws us to the comfort and security of home, we are also drawn to realize what is central to our lives. Here we can see what changes are necessary to support our soul’s purpose.

What am I holding onto that prevents me from walking fully into my own integrity? Storms are capable to change the entire landscape of our lives and sometimes in dramatic ways. Though we may not always understand the changes as they occur, the reasons will be clear in hindsight.

Cauac brings the energetic of ‘lightening in the blood’ to align our heart and Spirit with our Soul’s Purpose. Accept these important changes with enthusiasm, knowing that they bring a desired blessing and the answer to a prayer.

12 Days of Gratitude, Day 11 – The Journey Within

2 Flint/ETZNAB (Cherokee: Flint Dawi’sgala)

Galactic Tone 2: Duality; to be or not to be; the recognition of the separation of self from all else and the desire to be rejoined.
Flint/ETZNAB: Mirror of reality; as struck flint – divine sparks of intelligence; flint is the sword of truth cutting falsehoods away.

The Journey Within

Journey Within, April Peerless

Journey Within, April Peerless

Under the the galactic tone 2 we are drawn to look at both sides of a matter to determine the best way forward. Flint’s divine spark offers dynamic realizations, and as the obsidian mirror, helps us to clearly see to the heart of any matter.

Earth/CABAN is a plane of vital force (Earth Magic) upon which to draw our inspiration and healing throughout this 13-day trecena. In our Earthly walk we are surrounded by the powerful elements of nature. Air, Water, Fire and Earth. As Humans, this is the stuff we are made of.

There is a fifth element referred to as the Element of Spirit, the aether, and the vibration that connects us with the cosmos and all of creation.

Draw within. Through Spirit we remember we are also forces of Nature with a shared connection to all that is. The path that will be made clear will be brought to the forward of awareness.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 10 – Divine Forces of Nature

1 Earth/CABAN  (Cherokee, Heron Guwi’sguwi)

Galactic Tone 1: The beginning of all things, the whole, the all of One. Like a new dawn, today we receive divine inspiration that will guide us through the next 13 days.
Earth/Caban: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies and the memories of ancient wisdom; being connected to the dynamic forces of nature. The Cherokee sign of Heron/Guwi’sguwi is the energy of perpetual movement.

Divine Forces of Nature

Earth - The Divine ConnectionFor the past 13 days we were inspired to see ourselves and our world in a new way. The next 13 days is a time to synchronize with the rhythm of the Earth and reconnect with the Divine Forces of Nature as a means of integrating new knowledge to support our own personal growth and to assist in the guidance of others.

Earth/CABAN is the place of perfect centeredness in the eternal present moment – the place of direct access to all knowledge, ability and talents. If we are prepared to listen, Earth/Caban will provide guidance on how best to manage a new project or our next intention, giving the new movement, behavior, and the talent to realize it.

We are bioelectrical beings living on an electrical planet. Science has confirmed that when we are in direct contact with Earth, we receive the subtle energy from Earth’s surface electrons that nourishes us and stabilizes our biological rhythms, boosts self healing mechanisms, reduces inflammation and pain, and improves sleep and the feeling of calmness. (See Earthing)

In today’s world, we are insulated from the regular contact with the Earth. Now is a time to dedicate a time and place to reconnect and synchronize with our first Mother.

Honor the Earth. Feed the Earth with your offerings of gratitude. Walk barefoot in the grass and restore your connection to the dynamic forces of nature. Expect miraculous answers and solutions to appear as you need them.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 8 – Eagle Vision

12 Eagle/MEN (Cherokee Uwo’hatli)

Galactic Tone 12: Understanding; 12 is a gift of great capability of retrospection, the accumulation of experience to be applied as knowledge that serves as a spiritual catalyst

Eagle/MEN: Intermediary between Heaven and Earth; Eagle brings hope and trust on the wings of Spirit.

Eagle Vision

Eagle Vision12 Eagle/MEN nears the end of another 13-day trecena. This is a most important trecena that peaked on the Maya New Year (8 Chuen/Batz/Monkey) that is  celebrated with the initiation of those on the Spirit path.

Dog/OC has been the prevailing energy of this trecena as a faithful companion and guide through the darkness and into the light.

In some Native American traditions the Eagle symbolizes the Thunderbird associated with thunder and lightning. Eagle is a sacred messenger, carrying our prayers on its wings to the Great Spirit, returning with gifts and visions for the people.

Spirit Vision: We are not born into sin as unworthy creations. We are higher than the angels. We are the ones able to call forth power upon the interdimentional plane to support the manifestation of every potential desire born of the human Spirit.

12 Eagle/MEN brings understanding that will serve to carry us forward and elevates our vision to the heights of the Eagle. Once you’ve seen it, it can’t be unseen.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 7 – The Magic of Gratitude

11 IX/Jaguar (Cherokee Panther/ Saho’ni)

11 Resolution – 11 assists every new creation to find its place in the universe and relates to the process of ‘fitting in’.

Jaguar/IX or shaman, is tied to the source of all Earth magic. The spirit of jaguar inhabits the Mayan temples and is called on to assist in spiritual as well as in material ways. Jaguar is also the god/goddess of gratefulness. ~Mayan Majix

The Magic of Gratitude

Jaguar/IX is a ‘day of High Magic’ on the Mayan Calendar. Jaguar represents the creative force of the universe and is considered among the most expanding energies upon which to empower our dreams and intentions. Recognized as the God/Goddess of Gratefulness, Jaguar reminds us that gratitude is truly a magical force in our lives.

The number 7 is also associated with the Jaguar, so this 7th day of 21 days of gratitude is in perfect synchronicity with this day of Earth magic.

Galactic Tone 11 helps us to direct that magic toward the changes that will improve and deepen our relationships with one another. This is a “vision board day” encouraging us to hold a clear picture of our deepest held desires. By extending the magic of gratitude to our broader community, we can extend that magical power to bless the highest dreams and intentions of all.

In the Spirit of lak’ech – I am grateful to be another you.

A way opens before you.
All Obstacles and Impediments are Removed.
Only that which is worthy and desirable goes forward with you.
~a Native American Blessing

Special blessings and prayers are sent forth for my Dad,
celebrating Earth’s magic on his 90th birthday today!

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 6 – Beauty in Contrast

10 Reed/BEN

Galactic Tone 10: Manifestation
Reed/BEN: Connection to our Spiritual Essence

Beauty in Contrast

watcherThe dark, the light, and the varied array of colors in between are needed to create any masterpiece. The beauty is found within the contrast. To achieve great success at anything, one must overcome failure. To feel connected, one must know isolation. To experience happiness, we must know sorrow.

In order to be made whole, we must accept all the parts of who we are. We only have to look outside ourselves to see that we are not alone. And, by looking within, we can see the balance reflected in the whole picture. In truth, the obstacles in our lives are the key opportunities capable of propelling us forward.

10 Reed/BEN encourages us to make the connection to Spirit where all things return to balance. I am grateful there is always a source to turn to, and that for EVERY dark hour there is a dawn.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 5 – and a Bad Haircut

9 Road/EB

Galactic Tone 9: Patience; getting a better perspective of the bigger picture

Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human, the road to destiny, and the quest for self realization.

The Power of Gratitude and a Bad Haircut

Eb/Road is about finding our way in the world. The “the bearer of time” is a profound description of the Human experience. The progression of days that brought us to this place has given us a broader perspective. At some times this comes as happy new inspiration and at others, as a dark realization that something isn’t working.

We all fall short. “Grace” is a transformative power that we can choose to both give and receive along the road of life. Grace is necessary for Humans who are learning as they go along.

How bad is that?

How bad is that?

I received a really bad haircut today – not just a preference issue. Important chunks are missing! 🙂

So, the haircut was becoming the analogy of how my day played out.

Then I remembered yesterday’s Maya New Year celebrations. It’s a long-held tradition to cut hair (cutting away the past) at the time of renewal or at the loss of someone dear. Okay, it’s a stretch, but it at least made me smile.

Road/Human and hair – the bearers of time. Have patience with yourself and with others. If we can’t live with some evidence of our imperfection, how could we ever have the courage to look within.

21 Days of Gratitude, Day 4 – Happy Maya New Year!

8 Monkey/Chuen/B’atz’

Galactic Tone 8: Justice – Harmony and balance are the intent of Eight. Eights carefully weigh ll evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in statement, “as above, so below”. The energy of 8 organizes all levels of creation.

Monkey/Chuen/B’atz’: Known to the maya as the weaver of time – Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality.

HAPPY MAYA NEW YEAR! (Waqxaqui (8) B’atz)

Wajxaqib’, 8 B’atz’/Chuen/Monkey

Wajxaqib’, 8 B’atz’/Chuen/Monkey

The K’iche’ Maya of highland Guatemala honor this day, 8 B’atz’ (Chuen/Monkey) as the beginning of the 260-day cycle of the Tzolk’in calendar. This is a special day when the Maya community joins to celebrate with Fire Ceremonies of gratitude and is the day of initiation for Shaman and Mayan Daykeepers.

When Maya people celebrate the Tzolkin new year, they are celebrating that the creation of the world has been fulfilled and that a new cycle of 260 days begins. The ceremony includes calling all of the 260 days of the Tzolkin/Cholq’ij calendar. Monkey is the first one called in during the Count of Days in Guatemalan Mayan fire ceremonies because he signifies the beginning of time.

These ancient sacred ceremonies are a time of purification, blessing and celebration now recognized and honored by Daykeepers throughout the world as well as the traditional Maya. Among the practices of a Daykeeper is to welcome the inspiration of a new Sun, and to send a message of love forward on the Sun in lak’ech to the next Daykeepers waiting for the dawn.

To all my relations, I am grateful for honored traditions brought forward from our ancestors that bring meaning and connection to our lives. I am grateful for every new beginning and for the opportunity it brings to be made new once again and to clear a way for a fresh path forward.

Most of all, I am grateful to hold a sacred space with those that share the path of beauty that we may all move forward in harmony and in the spirit of lak’ech – “I am another yourself.”

Today brings an opportunity join in a celebration in harmony with all that is. As this new day dawns, I send my love around to you on the Sun.
