LUNAR ECLIPSE REVEALS THE UNSEEN: Hundreds of millions of people on five continents just watched a total eclipse of the Moon. “When the eclipse entered the total phase, I was stunned by the sight before me,” reports Jeff Dai of Qinghai, China. “The Milky Way became extremely bright during totality.”

At the end of July, two meteor streams – the Southern Delta Aquariids and the Alpha Capricornids – will peak on the same night, offering an especially rich display of shooting stars.
