MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Today Human is blessed by a Transformation and the Fulfillment of Divine Justice. Tone 8 is the Holy Day of the Trecena, the day when a Divine Agency intervenes on our behalf. 8 is the number of Pure Spirit, marking the days when Sacred Ceremony was observed by the Maya. The Kiche Maya observe 8 Road/EB (Ee), as Human’s “Day of Destiny.”
A Sacred Journey is our Destiny. Human is the bearer of time, and the conductor of our own destiny. Road/EB serves to open the road for future groups, communities and other individuals. They are known for making sacrifices for others, and many become caretakers of the poor, sick, or elderly. Road/EB is sometimes referred to as the sign of Grass, the most bountiful of all life forms, and the most humble. Road holds the Dream of Peace on Earth.
Tone 8 is the day of the Divine Justice of Harmony and Equity… the Creator’s Highest Intention at our Creation. Today we enter the Transformation Phase of this trecena, guided by a Divine Agency. 8 Road/EB offers a new revelation of what we were created to be.
The glyph illustrates this Road on the Head of Human. Our Destiny is fulfilled by a Choice of our own Free Will. On either side of the Road are the milestones that mark the important turning-points in our process of Transformation.
10-DAY PORTAL: Element of Ether
The Serpent/CHICCHAN trecena presents 10 Portal Days in a row (Tones 2 thru 12). Our experiences will be magnified by a thinning of the veil and an opening to other dimensions. On the Holy Day of the trecena we are received by a Divine Agency for a Spiritual Blessing. CHICCHAN’s Highest Purpose is to offer the Gift of “Lightning in the Blood” – the catalyst of Spiritual Experience. This is the Day of our Initiation and Baptism of Spirit. Our Spiritual Sense of Divine Justice will be magnified and multiplied to abundance. Our Spiritual Gifts are Transformed from Subtle Forces to become recognizable as a Sense of Knowing and Direction.
This is a day to Tune In to our Spiritual Senses. The energy of Tone 8 presents a shift from the effort of a climb, to the momentum of a descent. Like walking downhill, we are propelled by an Unseen Force. A Portal magnifies our awareness of this shift of Spiritual energy.
One of the most important revelations we can discern about the Tzolk’in is the pattern of energy that’s presented with every trecena. The 13 Tones represent the Sacred Steps of Creation. The uphill climb of Tones 1-6 become easier when we learn to anticipate the Divine Intervention that always lies ahead. Consider how your own energy has shifted in the last two days. Did you feel a shift from Darkness to Light? Mark Tones 7 and 8 on your calendar as days when you can anticipate a turning point.
Our Journey on the Road of Life is our Human Destiny. Traveling through the unknown experiences of our daily life is the way we are Raised to Divine Consciousness. Each experience is Rich with Opportunity for Spiritual Wisdom. The Human head is the seat of our Understanding, holding the Powers of Reason and the Gift of Imagination. Through every experience we are transformed to a Higher State of Self-Understanding. Our Power Lies in the Consciousness of our own thoughts. Only by paying attention are we capable to Discern an Inner Voice of Spirit.
The Road/EB trecena raised our Consciousness to Human’s Destiny to walk this Road of Life. CHICCHAN’s in-pouring of Light raises Consciousness to our Spirit’s Destiny to be the Creator’s Emissaries of Love and Divine Justice.
The Justice of Tone 8 is a symbol of Divine Authority. We operate under the Highest Authority of the Creator, when we share the same Divine Intentions. Our Dreams for the Greater Good of the Whole are our most Sacred Intentions. There is no Greater Offering to the Creator than to volunteer in the Service of bringing the Justice of Unconditional Love to Humanity.
Today is a day to Acknowledge our Consciousness of a Divine Agency. This is a day of Sacred Ceremony that Honors the path of every Human who walked this Road before.
Our Inheritance of Spiritual Wisdom can be seen in the Sacred Sites throughout the world. When we stand at the top of a pyramid, we behold the same view that was seen by our Ancient Ancestors. The Beauty of the Earth around us is recorded in the collective memories of every Human. We are One with the Whole who share the same thoughts, hopes, and dreams.
The Cherokee Day Sign, the Rattlesnake Tooth, is a sign of Spiritual medicine. The Rattlesnake Tooth was used to break the skin in a ritual of Spiritual Healing. We are receiving a Spiritual Blessing that will leave a mark to remind us of a new Transformation of Spiritual Consciousness.
We are capable to manifest what we see and imagine. Today, the Vision we hold is magnified by the Intervention of Divine Agency and Empowered by Human’s Collective Intention of Spirit.
To all my relations, may we give thought to what it means to be Given Spiritual Authority. May we see that a Divine Creator believes in us enough to share the Keys of the Kingdom. May we imagine the Homecoming of Humanity and the Joy of being acknowledged as equal to the rest… equally Loved, and equally Blessed. May we Honor Mother Earth as the place of Beauty that inspires every Human. May we see her as the Art of a Divine Creator, and know that Human is also an expression of Beauty that was created by the same hand.

Galactic Tone 8: Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’
Road/EB: The bearer of time and conductor of destiny; also known as Human; these persons open the road and guide to the future groups, communities and individuals alike. Likable, obedient, dedicated hard workers and organizers, Road persons are fortunate in business and travel. Many become care takers of the poor, sick, or old people, where they may make personal sacrifices. Road is sometimes referred to as the sign of grass, which is the most bountiful of all life forms, but is also the most humble. Road persons are affectionate and emphatic; they are easily hurt but slow to anger. Holding in of negative emotions and unexpressed resentment can lead to illness, a poisoned opinion of others and a false bravado for this sun sign.
Cherokee, Rattlesnake Tooth/KANU’GA: Symbolized by a rainbow, the delicate display of electromagnetic rays of the SUN. Rattlesnake Tooth is the Natal day sign of Medicine, the Shaman, the Priest, the Healer, and the Sorcerer. Guardian of the Way, Keeper of the Keys of the secret Kingdom.
