MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!
On the New Year we celebrate Mother Earth’s final turn in an annual cycle of transformation. As Dog/OC leads the Mission to bring our Light to the world, our Celebration of a New Beginning Lights the globe from one time zone to the next.
Earth/CABAN was the leader of our last trecena. We were inspired to go with the flow of Mother Earth, to bring Light to the very place we are.
On Tone 8, Earth/CABAN is exalted in the Intention of Divine Justice. Our Ascension is the Higher Ground that makes possible a new Transformation. On Tone 8 our Transformation begins under the direction of Divine Intervention.
This is Holy Day of Acknowledgement of our fulfillment of a Divine Covenant. The effort we invested in our own Spiritual Growth will be multiplied to abundance as a Divine Agency applies an equal and more powerful effort.
Tone 8 is the day of Sacred Ceremony for many of the Mayan observances. 8 Earth/CABAN (8 N’oj) is observed by the K’iche Maya as a Celebration of Human Intelligence, Wisdom, and Divine Consciousness. A New Year calls us to look back at our accomplishments of wisdom and imagine a new future.
The Dog/OC has offered the experiences to apply our new Wisdom of Loving and Forgiving. Dog/OC helps us experience the Power of the Unconditional Love we bring to a new beginning.
The process of Transformation is a building of personal Truth. We can look to the example of others, though Truth isn’t really ours until we believe it for our Self. When it’s Our Truth we can stand on it. When it is issued by another, we have to account for the differences in Human understanding. This is a day to Honor the Truth that we can accumulate through our own capabilities of discernment.
Transformation is our Divine Justice when we do the work of Spiritual Growth. The more effort we invest, the more conscious we are of our own Transformation. No matter what effort we invest, a Divine Agency will always repay more than we’ve given.
Today is a day to be Grateful for and Honor our evolutionary changes. No matter how small they clear a new road to our future. Dog/OC has demonstrated the eternal nature of Love and never-ending supply. Anytime we need re-charged with Love, we can turn to the Beauty of Mother Earth. We can travel to our past to re-visit our experiences of Love. We can remember stories of Love passed down through generations. To be refilled with Love, we can be like Dog, and roll around in it for the Pure Joy of feeling Love again.
A Transformation guided by Dog raises our Frequency of Love. Our Spiritual Vision is expanded to see colors we couldn’t see before. We can sense Love as our own Force of Nature as the Power of Earth’s Magic. In the Highest Vibration of Love, we can Know the influence of our Love on the world. Through a Higher Frequency of Love, we hold greater Authority to face any darkness, and continue to vibrate in Unconditional Love. Suffering can suddenly feel optional.
Forgiveness is necessary as resentments only hold us down. We don’t have to force our Light into darkness to receive Love and Validation from another. If we keep shining equally in all directions, we continue to bring the Brightest Light to All.
Dog/OC knows Unconditional Love the best. Sharing Dog’s experience of the Joy of Love, nothing else matters. Love, alone, is worth living for. Mother Earth keeps the One Heart Beating for us All.
The Cherokee Day Sign, the Heron, lives life as a perpetual migration. The Heron is a symbol of the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of its past. We can greet a New Year celebrating the ashes we’ve left behind. We can imagine new Dreams for our future. Dog/OC has helped us see the accessibility of Love in all 4 directions of Mother Earth.
My 91-year old Dad and I had a conversation at Christmas about all the changes he’s seen in a lifetime. He shared how it was his job at 6 years to carry wood and kindle the morning fire. I asked if life was happier with all the conveniences. He paused for a moment and said, “That’s all we knew!”
Our Human limitations were once all we knew. One by one we bring Light to the illusions of powerlessness. A New Year is a major milestone completed by Mother Earth. This is time to “take a picture” that would remind us in the future how far we’ve come. This is a New Year to choose life again, acknowledging that Love is a Power worth living for.
To all my relations, may we give thanks for the Gifts to Discern our own Truth. May we raise our Voices to the Light of a New Day. May we discern our Source of Eternal Light and receive Truth we could see from a Higher Frequency. May acknowledge the Gift of Spiritual Consciousness that was shared equally with every Human, and exercise our Choice to Live in the Experience of Unconditional Love.
Wishing you a New Year filled with Unconditional Love, multiplied to abundance.
in lak’ech, I am another you

A NEW COMMITMENT TO GRATITUDE:
I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. Today is the 21st day started on 11 Jaguar/IX. Today on 5 Jaguar/IX gifts us with an Empowerment of Gratitude.
Since Jaguar/IX is the Day Sign of Gratitude, it seems right and good to begin and end every 21 days on Jaguar/IX. So, today will be both Day 21 of one ceremony, and also Day 1 of the next. (Our next 21-Days of Gratitude begins 5 Jaguar/IX (Kin 174) and ends on 12 Jaguar/IX (Kin 194), a day of Understanding the Magic of Gratitude.
21-Days of Gratitude: Day 4
I’m grateful for another day and the opportunity to experience Love any time I choose it.

8 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)
Galactic Tone 8: Harmony and balance are the intent of eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below.” From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “neat freaks”.
Earth/CABAN: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.
Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.
“The Northern Cross is the Tree of Life, Beside the Milky Way River & Perched atop is Guwi’ sguwi, the Cherokee Heron Spirit Bird, comparable to the Egyptian Phoenix. One Myth has it that a Beautiful Young Maiden (the Heron Spirit Bird) fell from the Tree of Life in the Sky Vault, & Found no Place to Land on the Primordial Sea. Turtle came to the Surface of the Water & gave her a Place to Land. She nested & Laid her Cosmic Egg, From which came all Life on Earth.” (Cherokee Astrology: Animal, Medicine in the Stars, Raven Hall)
