7 Deer / MANIK – A New Dawn: Day 7 of 13

7 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Kin,

Tone 7 is the place of Balance at the top of the pyramid. We’ve completed our first climb of new Spiritual Growth. The effort of our Intention will be balanced Above and Below. This is a place of personal accounting that holds an Intention of Reflection.

Tone 7 represents the Principle of Correspondence, “As Above, So Below.” An effort of Spirit will be balanced in our Hearts and Minds.

CIMI helped to release us from our past and go with the flow of change. We can change our mind. We found a new pattern of movement. New habits lead to new choices and the only thing that matters is who we are now.

Deer/MANIK holds the Meaning and Purpose of our Transformation. Deer is the Day sign of the Mayan priest or shaman, the one who serves the Community. The Mayan priest is not a “preacher,” but one who leads the Sacred Ceremonies.

The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for MANIK. The forefinger and thumb are grasping a Spark that completes a circuit to Divine Consciousness. Sacred Ceremonies and Rituals connect us to the Divine. They mark the Time and Place of our Consciousness of the Creator. Through this connection we are able to Draw all the strength we need through Divine Intervention.

In synchronicity with the Observance of Easter, Deer/MANIK represents the Hand of God that was offered to the world, the One that would demonstrate Unconditional Love and Forgiveness. The “Christ Spirit” demonstrated the Meaning and Purpose of Living in Communion with a Divine Creator. As an example of the “Perfected Human” we were shown the Truth of the Possibility. We can see that a Divine Light reflected through Human is Eternal, a Light that will continue to shine.

Deer/MANIK is said to be the Spirit that upholds the pillars of the 4 directions. Deer upholds the construct of a world of Spirit by standing silently in its own Truth. So are we empowered to stand on what we believe. What we held in Faith will become our foundation.

Deer/MANIK is the keeper of all Spiritual Tools. Today we can receive a Tool of Consciousness that will help us Remember. MANIK challenges us to stand in our Integrity. The Power we are given is Divine. To wield our Divine Authority, we must be spotless in our Intentions. MANIK births the “Hand of God” into the world. We are representative of a Divine Authority. Our own Intentions must reflect the Divine Intentions we serve. Through an act of Balance and Reciprocity, MANIK makes it possible through the Spiritual Tools we are given.

MANIK’s most important tool is Vigilance. The Cherokee Day Sign of Deer describes the Day Sign as the Stag – the Powerful Deer who takes on the responsibility of the Whole. Vigilance is the Deer’s means of self-preservation. Through vigilant Consciousness, Deer’s movements are directed by purpose – ready to move as Directed by Divine Discernment.

As a Blue Day Sign of the West, MANIK resides in the direction of Water and our Emotions. MANIK can bring us to our knees in Humility, recognizing our own limitation. MANIK holds the Power to bring the Spiritual Gift we need to rise above it. Deer/MANIK can Divinely Empower the Dream of our Intention. We can be given new Faith and Hope in the Power to change our lives. Deer can present the Spiritual Tool that establish our Harmony and Balance, by helping us to discern our own Meaning and Purpose.

Master Number 77: Tone 7 and Position 7 of Deer/MANIK reflects the Master Number 77. It appropriately doubles and amplifies the aspects of Deer/MANIK, the one who serves the Whole through its Gift of Vigilant Discernment. “Number 7 relates to inner-wisdom and intuition, contemplation and discernment, understanding of others, inner-strength and tenacity. Number 77 acknowledges an accomplishment in our empathetic and psychic abilities, and our determination for Spiritual Enlightenment and the Awakening to our True Life Purpose. [Sacred Scribes]

MANIK is capable to push away bad influences and negative energies so we may rise above our Human limitations. Deer is a Day Sign who defends the people and makes sacrifices for others. Our Spiritual Senses are ignited as we adopt this Higher Purpose.

Deer also holds the Power of Harmonic Resonance. Through a vibration of Unconditional Love, lower vibrations are drawn into sympathy. With the help of MANIK, our Reflection can elevate our Consciousness to a Higher Vibration within our Self that draws others to follow.

To all my relations, to Deer, Silence is a Spiritual Experience in itself. May we Reflect in Vigilant Silence for the Voice of Divine Discernment. May we free ourselves of negative influences by standing in the Integrity of Who We have Chosen To Be. May we be the Hand that grasps Divine Power for the good of the Whole. May we uphold our own Spiritual World by the Truth of our Own Discernment. May we stand silently, with no need to Defend what we Believe, but to “Live it” as a Spiritual Demonstration. May the Dream we hold for ourselves be Balanced as a Divine Intention for the Highest Good of the Whole. As we learn to draw our Direction from Divine Discernment, we will know when to Move and when to Stand. Our Faith will be Transformed into something we Believe in every realm of our Consciousness.

APRIL FOOLS: Today my parents celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary. They can be credited with the success of loving one another for a lifetime. My Dad still needs little encouragement to tell the whole story of how they met, and how they knew their lives were meant to be spent together. They have been Vigilant in Love. I can’t remember a single argument between them. May they celebrate many more. I’m exceptionally blessed to have them in the world.

I’m sharing a the “21-Days of Gratitude” as a perpetual Personal Ceremony through the next journey to 8 Monkey/CHUEN Maya New Year. The “21 days” begin and end on Jaguar/IX.

21-Days of Gratitude: Day 14

I’m grateful that we are given every Spiritual Tool we need to overcome our Human limitations. I’m grateful that the Consciousness of Unconditional Love, gives us the courage to see our Self.

7 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi)

Galactic Tone 7: Reflective. Seven stands as a mirror to divide light and dark and to reflect all that is and is not. Seven is associated with the source of creation and the flow of Divine Will. With a keen sense of ethics, Seven establishes purpose to current and future goals.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
