TRECENA OF TRANSFORMER/CIMI: A MAJOR LIFE CHANGE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
On Tone 6 we enter the Peak Energy of the trecena. On Tone 6 we enter the Flow, the Momentum created from a Rhythm and Pattern of Movement. In the 6th hour of Light, late morning, we are engaged in our work in a flow of applying the tools at hand.
Like stuffing a pile of envelopes, we no longer approach it as one-at-a-time effort, but as a process like an assembly line. Tone 6 is related to the performance of a great athlete who knows the steps well enough that the Way become second nature. When we forget the incremental steps, a whole way of movement becomes an Expression of the Intention.
Tone 6 offers the Truth that trial and error is a Divine Way when we keeping trying again, or keep trying something new. On Tone 6 we can See the Overall Effect IS moving us forward. Every which way we attempt to Express our Love is the Forward Movement of our Spirit.
Monkey/CHUEN is the nahaul of a Divine Creator. The Monkey’s way is represented by its position as Number 11. 11 is the symbol of a Divine Antennae that tunes us in to a Higher Frequency of Thought. Number 11 is the symbol of two Ones standing together, aligned in the same Meaning and Purpose. The Dog and the Monkey are said to hold an Affinity as the two perspectives that are central to a Supreme Creator. One holds the Wisdom of Love, and the other sees Love as reason for Creation.
When we Know Love is Ours forever, we will be naturally led to Express the Beauty we See. Monkey is the Master Artist of Life, the Weaver of Time that draws all the threads of experience together as the tapestry of our Life.
CHUEN is Empowered by Love and celebrates the Consciousness of Knowing It. Monkey approaches Life with Curiosity, believing there is Love to be seen in ALL things.
The perspective of the Monkey is the part of our Consciousness that loves to uncover a mystery. The wilder the Truth may seem, the more Human is inclined to explore it. Humans are inclined to question every possibility of Truth when it’s expressed by someone else. The Monkey guides the Wisdom to figure things out for our Self. The Biggest Truth of all is the Power of Love to change everything.
Guided by the Monkey’s perspective we can explore the Big Truth that Love exists in all of us. We won’t question whether there is Love in another. The question will be “how is it being expressed?”
Monkey teaches us to have a sense of humor. It takes a sense of humor to see Love beyond Human’s back and forth behavior. The Transformer/CIMI intends a Major Life Change of bringing new Light to the World. Our Light is our Consciousness that can illuminate Love when it is tuned in to human’s back-and-forth expression of the same Truth.
We are learning to walk in the world in our own Rhythm and Pattern of Movement. From each “failure” we learn something new. Human learning to walk is an amazing feat of accomplishment we may only see first hand a few times in our life. Children spends weeks trying – falling down and getting back up again. You could tell by the looks on their faces that it helped to have some encouragement. I still remember that look that asks the question, “Should I cry?” When we cheer every effort, it’s worth another try. Unconditional Love is the Power that cheers us on through our back-and-forth efforts of Love.
In the harvest cycle of the Tzolk’in, we are learning the basic steps of Life. We’re reminded of all the major hurdles a Human Child must endure to grow to maturity. In spite of all trials, children are given the Wisdom to still Believe they can create what they’ve seen in Human Being.
Our stops and starts on a path of Spirit are the times we stop to Compare our effort to the success of another, as better or worse, instead of just different. Growing our Spirit is an effort of Divinity. There is no visual illustration of One way of Love. We have to engage both our Heart and Mind to FEEL the Truth.
Monkey/CHUEN is the Weaver of Time. The glyph illustrates “time rolled up” on the head of the Monkey. Monkey is the Master Artist that weaves the threads of our experience into the tapestry of Life. Our life is a thing of Beauty by all the colors of our experience.
The Elders reminded us that walking is a pattern of movement that begins in Balance. To move forward, we have to be willing to Fall out-of-balance into the next step forward. We can’t learn balance without knowing out-of-balance.
That’s where the Power of Unconditional Love can be discovered as the Truth of our Way. If we never tried to walk, we would never fail. Learning to walk is a Major Life Change. Without the Consciousness of that celebrates every Human experience, it would be easy to give up. A Dream of finding our own way in the world holds the Power of Love to carry on.
Monkey knows that Human is trying just as hard to Love as we did to walk. Residing in the West, the Unknown that engages an emotional response, we are more inclined to cry when we fall. Only human doesn’t like to be seen crying. In a state of unconsciousness, it feels safer to be angry… “we didn’t want your love anyway.” We could learn a lot from that curiosity.
Monkey holds the potential for mystical experience as we become more Conscious of the Intention AND the many Ways a human will attempt to carry it out. Monkey shares a Gift for Seeing the Unseen Power of Love that operates beneath the surface of every Human interaction.
The Monkey can guide us to see all the Love that is One in our Human experience of Life. Love is the very Power that motivates us to carry on. Even when we think we’ve lost hope in Love, our Hope is eternal. If we didn’t expect Love to Always Be, why would we discern the lack of it to be an offense? If we didn’t expect it, we wouldn’t ask why God would allow such an experience to be. If we look with curiosity, we’ll see that Human defines Divine Justice as the Love we deserve to See.
A Monkey has enough sense to know that every human expression of Love will be different. Monkey knows that when Love can’t be seen, it’s only a matter of Time and Place. No Love is ever Lost with the Power to Travel through Time. With the Gift of Divine Consciousness, Love could ONLY Multiply to Abundance.
Monkey can teach us to laugh at Human’s silliest attempts of Love. The Cherokee Racoon is the Trickster, intent on coaxing a smile. The Raccoon is the nahaul that sees all the treasures we’ve thrown in the trash, perfectly good expressions of Love that can be admired when they are cleaned up with a little Water.
The Raccoon and the Monkey help us see the Beauty in the Love we cast aside. The Monkey and the Raccoon know the silly ways of Human. (Our stuff always looks better after it’s been lost, and then claimed as a treasure by someone else.)
To all my relations, may we see the Beauty in the Flow of Love. May we look to a Divine Creator when we fall down. May we know the Power of Unconditional Love is leading to a Major Life Change, building the Inner Strength of Balance.
May give thanks for the Consciousness of Love that gives us the Passion to keep trying. May we celebrate the all the Ways of Love. May we see the ups and downs as a Rhythm and Pattern that holds the Momentum of forward movement.
May we Believe in the Power of Love to create Us, and a Life that Expresses the Integrity of our Truth.
in lak’ech, i am another you

6 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)
Galactic Tone 6: Six is responsiveness and the art of negotiation. It is the movement of volume through space that creates time. This energy in action is like the art of dance or a great athlete in motion. Six facilitates dynamic developments in all aspects of life.
Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.
Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.
