WAXAJQIB B’AATZ Altar – Mid-day November 30, 2022

Mid-day Altar – Mayan New Year

Maya New Year, WAXAJQIB B’AATZ (8 Monkey/CHUEN)

Greetings Beloved Kin,

New candles have been added to refresh the Light of this Sacred Day. And, some new Kin and Spirits invited in for the Sacred Event.

First, and most importantly, the highest candle holds a flame for those who are suffering today and in need of Comfort and Healing. Wherever the Monkey goes, the Dog/OC of Unconditional Love comes along, and KNOWS when someone needs a Hand from the Holy Spirit. That is the altar set for the purpose and tended by Raphael, the (Green) light messenger on the color spectrum. Uriel, Gabrial, and Archangel Michael hold the Light at the 4 corners that surround you, if this is a day when tears are in order. May you know there’s a hand to hold and prayers offered Above and Below.

I’ve added the Guardian Angels and faeries too, and also hold a place for the blessed Sororers and Fraters from another Ancient and Divine path who tend to a  Sanctuary of Healing every day, sharing their Light from Above.

May EVERY ONE feel the  presence of all the living stars around you that extend a blessing of Unconditional Love.

May we honor those holding faith and courage to carry on.
Dreams are REAL and Miracles are True.

love, in lak’ech,

Debra

8 Monkey/CHUEN (Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI)

Galactic Tone 8:  Justice. Harmony and balance are the intent of Eights carefully weighs all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement ‘as above, so below,’ from simplicity to infinity, the energy of eight organizes all levels of creation, some eights are ‘neat freaks.’

Monkey/CHUEN: Monkey is known to the Maya as the Weaver or Weaver of Time. Monkey takes ideas as threads of vines and weaves them into the fabric of our reality. New patterns or inventions are also woven into our lives by Monkey. Amiable, intelligent, generous and a jack of all trades, Monkey’s innocent curiosity leads to artistic expression and constructive solutions. Many Monkeys become highly respected merchants or speakers. They love performing practical jokes and crave attention, so much so that they may over-act or play the fool to get the spotlight. Monkeys have a short attention span and find it difficult to stay with anything long enough to master it.

Cherokee, Raccoon/KVH’LI: Star Symbol: Algol, a star in Perseus. Restless energy yearning for long-lost love. Algol was named DEMON STAR or MISCHIEVOUS ONE by the Ancients because it winks and fades at times. Raccoons are full of friendly mischief, eager to swap kisses for candy; magnetic leaders, full of humor and gaiety. Favorite food is corn, the mainstay of the Cherokee. Very artistic while being the “masked bandit” who steals your heart.

[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources. Links to sources and other resources of study are offered on the Daykeeper Resources Page. ~Debra]
