HOLY OBSERVANCE: Day of Awareness
The aspects of Earth/CABAN are exalted in the zenith hour of Light.  WAXAJQIB (Number 8) is defined as “pure spirit.” Mother Earth is the nahaul of Movement that Creates Time. The  Aztec Day Sign is Ollin, the symbol at the center of the stone calendar, marking 20 Times of Knowing. CABAN is the Clarion Call to follow what our Heart tells us to do.

Greetings Beloved Kin,

Only by moving on with Faith in a Divine Meaning and Purpose for Time can we change the experiences of our Life. When we get “stuck” in the past, we forget that we’re not Living in the Time that’s here and now.

The energies of Christmas Day were all over the place.  It was a good day when I was moving around, and not so good when I was fixed in one place. There is always a blessing from Mother Earth to move us on, if we’re willing. All it took to change the experience was to light the candles, clear the space, and wash my cares away. I knew it would be a blessing.

Tone 8 raises the Intention of Justice in Harmony and Equity with the Whole. We can’t expect Miracles in our Life without applying any effort. The darkness tests our Inner Strength to insure our nets will hold the Abundance that will Overflow in the future. Time is a gift that we can use to create Greater Wisdom for Tomorrow. Time is the answer to everything we want to know. Don’t prejudge tomorrow before it’s here. Turn to see what you can do to raise your faith in tomorrow.

 

The glyph for CABAN illustrates the 3 thoughts of Divine Discernment. The straight line that begins in the East represents our first thought of objective consciousness that reasons “what it is.” That thought naturally turns to the faculty of our imagination to question “what it means.” To complete the process that leads us to the Truth we have to take a leap beyond Human thoughts to consider a Divine Meaning and Purpose. Every experience of Time is presented from the East.

We can see the Presence of a Divine Hand in our Life, when we choose to look to see. Manifesting the Dreams for tomorrow requires us to move beyond the past today.

The Aztec define Day Ollin as simply Movement. This is an auspicious day for the active principle, a bad day for the passive principle. Ollin is a day of the purified heart, signifying those moments where human beings may perceive what they are becoming. A good day for transmutation, which arrives like an earthquake that leaves in its wake the ruins of rationality, order and the preconceived. Aztec Calendar

Red is the Color of the aspect of “Light,” Time that’s ordered for a Divine Inspiration. The Truth of Divine Justice can Dawn on us today. The Cherokee Day Sign is the Heron, a nahaul  of perpetual movement and the symbol of the Phoenix. This is a New Day that offers the Truth to rise from the ashes of our past.

May we Live by the Golden Rule, taking action for another living thing that suffers, the same as we hope to Receive. This is a day to make an Offering to Mother Earth.  There’s a place you’re intended to “be in the moment” for the Light to shine on something you’re supposed to see.

8 Earth/CABAN (Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI)

Galactic Tone 8: Harmony and balance are the intent of eight. Eights carefully weigh all evidence to reach a balance of justice. Eight is the power of organization demonstrated in the statement, “As above, so below.” From simplicity to infinity, the energy of Eight organizes all levels of creation. Some Eights are “neat freaks”.

Earth/CABAN: Keeper of the garden of Earth. Profound synchronistic connections to Earth’s natural cycles and energies provide power of creations and memories of ancient wisdom. Earth persons help dispel bad intentions, habits and ideas. This makes them very good counselors and masters of all arts. Studious and intelligent, Earth persons endeavor to bring a flow of natural order to all aspects of life. Being connected to the dynamic forces of nature, Earth persons need much liberty to facilitate their expression of migration or the sending of long distance communications such as the whales, elephants, birds and many other creatures. Sometimes Earth’s delicate sensitivities are upset resulting in quakes of emotion even the display of volcanic temper.

Cherokee, Heron/GUWI’SGUWI: Sign of movement, of perpetual motion, recycling, regeneration; environmentalists fighting for the underdog. Heron is mentally alert, rational, yet opinionated; has a great faith in people and in the divine plan, holding the magic of ministry, medicine, marketing and matchmaking; healing abilities, especially with crystals; negotiation and mediation energy. Heron is symbolized by Deneb, located in the Northern Cross beside the Milky Way.
