5 Deer / MANIK

Greetings Beloved Kin,

Deer/MANIK is also known as Hand. MANIK is the Destiny Kin of the Mayan priest who counts the days and carries out the ceremonies ordered by Time on behalf of the whole. MANIK symbolizes the Divine Meaning and Purpose for our Life, to be the Hand below, dedicated in service to the One Above.

The glyph illustrates the Hand that grasps a thread of plasma as the Light Above. It completes a circuit to the Highest Power of Love, when the Hand is dedicated to the Mission of Unconditional Love.

By Cherokee tradition, the Deer refers to the Stag, and also to constellation of Taurus, the bull. The Element of Water is the Power of Love that flows through the Heart. Through a baptism of Living Water, the Divine Masculines of the Stag is balanced by the Divine Feminine aspect of Compassionate Love and Discernment.

The Divine Union of the Mayan priestess is the Balancing of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine within all of us. There is nothing we can’t do with the Divine Inspiration drawn by the Divine Masculine faculty of Reason, and the Divine Feminine aspect that applies the Genius to a Compassionate Purpose for the Highest Good of the Whole. There’s no better way to fulfill the Law of the Golden Rule.

When we choose to Live by the Highest Law of the Universe, we will Know that, regardless of all our Human limitations, we can see and acknowledge for ourself that we are doing the very best we CAN do. There’s no doubt that a Hand Above will share the Divine Provision for the Dream of Unconditional Love to be manifested, As Above, So Below.

Futhark Rune, Algiz – Reaching for the Highest one, symbol of the Tree of Life, and the Divine Antennae of the Deer, tuned in to the Vibration of Love

Deer/MANIK is the keeper of Spiritual Tools. The High Mayan priest holds the staff and the medicine bundle that’s been passed down by the generation that came before. The staff is the One Truth that is the Divine Answer for everything – the Divine Provision for every Human limitation.

To complete the connection to the Creator’s full power of Love, the priest brings every offering in Humility. Through the offering of the Truth that we will never be perfect, we receive the Wisdom of Grace that we were offered in return to share with the whole.

The circle on the glyph illustrates the Vigilant Eye of the Deer. Only through a dedicated daily practice can we keep our eyes trained on the Truth we must never forget. The Elders said that our challenges are never about “whether we can.” But, will You Remember?

Through the offering of prayers for the whole, we can become the Source for Divine Trinity. The Deer holds the Gift of Harmonic Resonance, the pure tone of Love that calls lower vibrations into sympathy. When someone prays for us, we listen up in agreement with the Divine Blessing that’s being spoken. When the words are spoken from a Compassionate Heart that sees our wound, we are inclined agree. Then, together, the two hold the Power of Divine Trinity.

The Deer’s only shadow is too many Spiritual Tools. It’s said that the Deer keeps every tool it’s ever used. We can find solice in all the tools and symbols we keep on the altar. Though, One is all we need when it’s the symbol of the Divine Provision. It’s time to take up your own “staff” for the journey to Holy Ground.

A Mission on Behalf of the Whole

This is a day to honor all the Hands on Earth that are dedicated in the service of Love to One Another. Tone 5 raises a vibration of Empowerment. It relates to our Common thought in the 5th hour of the day, to gather all the tools and materials before we begin “the work” of creation. The Deer holds position 7, the symbol of the clarity to know the power to create our own reality. Ours is an Unseen Power of Spirit that sees all that is and all that is not from a balancned perspective of Compassionate Love that knows there’s a reason why every Human fails.

The Deer doesn’t defend its ground of Truth. It’s stands silently knowing that when a Divine Creator intends for the Truth to be known, it will be seen by the ones who are ready and willing to see. The Deer looks ahead and leaves the past behind. The Deer can take an arrow that can pass right through the heart without leaving any damage. The Deer has 4 legs to plant in each direction – a symbol of its stability. The Deer knows the Truth of the Creator’s Unconditional Love.

There are priests of many traditions carrying out the offerings and prayers that are ordered for this Season of Harvest. Below are some traditions that are celebrated in synchronicity of this Time:

September 23, 2023 – The Fall Equinox
Humanity shares the Observance of the Fall Equinox that marks the beginning of a new season. The Equinox is traditionally celebrated as Mabon in the Anglo-Celtic tradition, where it includes a seasonal feast and alter making. In Japan, Buddhists honor their ancestors during a six-day holiday of Higan. In Judaism there’s Succoth, which falls on the autumn equinox and includes a seasonal feast to commemorate the sheltering of the Israelites in the wilderness. The Native American traditions included the sacred ceremony of the Hopi Snake Dance, honoring the balance in nature.

The Maya celebrate the Light of Kulkulkan/Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent that descends the stairs of the calendar pyramid. The El Castillo pyramid is the Temple of Kulkulkan, a gift of Knowing by Feeling, the Quickening as the Kundalini energy of CHICCHAN.

Common Intentions: The autumn equinox is a quiet time for contemplation and our preparations for the winter. Like the trees that begin to shed their leaves, we are purging dead weight, turning the soil, and reflecting on our life. It’s a natural time to reflect on what we’ll grow next year, and set new intentions.

September 23, 2023 is 6 Star/LAMAT by the Tzolk’in calendar. Tone 6 and Number 6 are symbols of the Power of 2 Divine Trinities as One (3+3). Star/LAMAT is the Beauty of Venus, the planet associated with Taurus. Venus represents “perfect time” and LAMAT’s totem rabbit is the symbol of the Instant Manifestation of Love that is multiplied to infinity. Star/LAMAT is the symbol of the Scion.

September 24-25, 2023 – Yom Kipur
Yom Kippur, Hebrew Yom Ha-Kippurim, English Day of Atonement, most solemn of Jewish religious holidays, is observed on the 10th day of the lunar month of Tishri (in the course of September and October), when Jews seek to expiate their sins and achieve reconciliation with God. Source: Brittanica

September 26, 2023 – 9 Monkey/CHUEN
The Initiation of the Mayan priestess, a celebration of the Union between the Heart of Earth and the Heart of Heaven. It marks the end of the climb to the top of the Pyramid of the Magician at the Cosmic University of UXMAL. Native American sacred ceremonies are carried out over 4 days. Following 9 Monkey/CHUEN, is 10 Road/EB (09/27), the manifestation of our Divine Destiny, 11 Reed/BEN (09/28) is the resolution of a Divine Channel for the Communion of Spirits, 12 Jaguar/IX (09/28) is the Day of Understanding, the Comprehension of Spirit that leads our journey to the Light.

September 29, 2023 – Harvest Moon in Aries
At the Harvest Moon we witness the bounty we’ve created. Aries leads the intention to Know Thyself. September 29,  2023 is 13 Eagle/MEN, the Ascension of the Night/AKBAL trecena to become the Dreamer that believes in the Dream. 13 Eagle/MEN shares the vision to see the future.

September 30, 2023 – International Rabbit Day
(This one was a surprise.) The symbol of the Rabbit’s power of Instant Manifestation is doubled by the Chinese Lunar Year of the Rabbit. Male rabbits are known as bucks, females are called does, and their babies—born furless and blind—are called kittens (who can begin having their kittens as soon as a month after they’re born). October 14, 2023 – Annualar Solar Eclipse
Solar eclipses are a Universal Sign and Symbol of an old cycle of Life and Light coming to a close. We’ve learned the lessons that were intended by the experience. The eclipse is the death of the old and the birth of the new Solar cycle. Pluto ends it’s retrograde on October 11, 2023, an intention to know our self in the Truth of our balance of darkness and light.

A New Moon in Libra on October 14, 2023 symbolizes all the Light taken in from the Harvest Moon. Libra balances the scales. This is a positive time to seek balance, harmony, and deep connections by the Divine Intention of Right Relationship.

By astronomical calculations the peak solar activity for this 11-year cycle is forecast “any time.” It is currently predicted to be ahead of schedule from a forecasted date in November.

Divine Intentions of thought around the globe are aligned by this season of Harvest in synchronicity with a Divine Union observed as the Perfect Balance of the Creator’s Intentions, Above and Below.

in lak’ech, i am another you

THE JAGUAR’S MAGIC OF GRATITUDE:
I’m grateful for a rich Inheritance of spiritual wisdom.

The Celtic Ogham tradition observes Tree Runes to define the season. September 2-29, 2023 is symbolized as the Vine that bears fruit. Muin (m win), Moon; the Vine is the symbol of harvest and reaping what we’ve sewn.  Search Ogham Runes on Google. (What kind of tree are you?)

Visit the 13-Day Trecena Guide Page for the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” My gift for the Tzolk’in round offers an overview for each 13-day trecena and the aspects of each day of the Tzolk’in round. The page also offers a link to resources for your own practice of counting the days to conceive your own discernment of the Meaning of Time.

NEW SEASON – VOLUME 2: Tzolk’in Seasons 3 and 4 (PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 20, 2020)

NOTE: You can also look at dates from a different direction. What is the Destiny Kin number of your day sign’s 3rd tone? You may have overlooked a life-changing day. Use the Kin Calculator offered on the Daykeeper’s Resource Page for a date six years before or after. If you are just starting to count the days and don’t have a journal from the last round, when something major happens in your life you can look to see if there was a major event on that same date before. You can also look for Signs in the “distance of time” – the number of days between one day and another, from the Time and Date Calculator linked on the resources page. Example – 33 days is a symbol of a day that you actualize the Truth from the beginning date.

Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com

Galactic Tone 5: Empowerment. At the center of the cube we find Five. Five is an intelligent, organizing force which manages communications and materials, knowledge and application. Fives are natural networkers who gather what is needed. These persons can probe directly to the core of any situation making them excellent investigators.

Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.

A GOOD DAY TO: Be of service to others.

Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions.  Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer:  A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician.  Ability to create harmonic resonance.
