3 Deer / MANIK
Greetings Beloved Kin,
Runes were used to write Germanic languages before they adopted the Latin alphabet. The Algiz run reflects the same aspects as the Mayan “lord of the Day,” Deer/MANIK. The first impression is arms reaching Above. Between the lines are angles, that are aimed at the heart.
The Deer/MANIK glyph illustrates a Hand (another name for MANIK) grasping a thread of plasma that completes a circuit of Divine Energy. The circle represents the Vigilant Eye of the Deer. Like a pilot, the Deer watches all around for the first Sign of Movement. They see trouble coming in time for the whole to leap to higher ground.
Tone 3 raises the Intentions of Movement that creates Sound and a New Vibration. The Tone and Frequency are created by the Reason we move. We are moved by a Sound of the Creator’s Love to create a Life of Meaning and Purpose, through a dedicated daily practice. Our Heart is drawn by the Creator’s Language of Truth and Love. On Tone 3 we are Moved by a Divine Trinity to dedicate our Life to the purpose. On 3 Deer/MANIK we’re called into service. When we answer the call, we’re connected to a Hand Above that will never let go.
Deer/MANIK is the Creator’s Offering of a Divine Meaning and Purpose for our life. The Elders said, “You were given a life. What will you do with it?” The Light of the Equinox shared a Dream, and it’s Time to plant the Seed.
NUMBER 20:20
There are 2 20’s in the date. Sun/AHAU holds position 20, the all-in-one and the perfect balance of zero. The Deer is Vigilant to apply a Power of Vision. Through the Atonement of an Offering, we can see the Truth through the Creator’s eyes. 20:20 is a symbol of a Divine Witness, Above and Below. There is something we’re meant to see.

A Hand Above and a Hand Below
Deer/MANIK is the Day sign of the Mayan priest and shaman. The priest isn’t a model of perfection, but an authentic human being, kneeling in humility of of Human limitations. The Deer stands silently. We are not intended to defend the Truth. The Truth will speak for itself in Divine Time. The HIghest One is our defender. MANIK holds the Element of Water that speaks through Heart. Our Divine Path is consecrated and blessed through Living Water.
MANIK shares Spiritual Tools for the journey. The Creator’s Tools are Truth and Love. The Staff represents the One Highest Truth to stand, a Divine Provision for every Human limitation. MANIK is the “CHICCHAN” power that makes it possible to lift a car to save a life. Divine Powers belong in the Hand of God. Left in Human’s Hand, the Ego would corrupt the power absolutely. It’s good enough to Know what the Creator can and will do for us.
What stands between us is the Time it takes to See and Acknowledge the Supreme Lord of Creation. God draws us in with very little encouragement. An offering of 5 minutes can turn into 15 before we know it.
We make things harder on our self than they have to be when we worry if we’re doing things the “right” way. The Creator wants us to do it Our Way. The Creator wanted to know our unlimited expressions of Love.
The Creator’s Mission is Love as an Act of Service. Love in Action is is an experience that makes everything possible. When we Love in Divine Trinity, we can create anything our heart desires.
MANIK calls us to be the one that Remembers on n behalf of the whole. When we know someone is praying for us, our heart is called to join in agreement. MANIK is a symbol of Stability, with the 4 legs to stand. Where would we be without the Divine Inheritance shared by our Ancestors?
The Tree of Life represents our Divine Way in the Universe, grounded to the Heart of Earth, and Drawn by the Light of Father Sky. The channel between the Above and Below is the Living Water of the Creator’s Spirit. God will provide whatever we need to carry out the Mission.
The Mission is for our own Highest Good, when Gratitude turns into Miracles of Love multiplied to infinity. In the 5th uinal, we are gathering resources for their highest application. In the 6th uinal the rhythm and pattern of movement will create Momentum. In the 6th uinal we’ll wonder at the Love we created on Earth.
In the First Season we were learning who we are. In the Second Season we are offered a Divine Meaning and Purpose for our Life. If we make the Choice to be a Hand of Divine Service the Creator will never let go. We’ll HAVE to do the work, because we Love the Dream so much.
The Serpent/CHICCHAN is igniting our passion to Create. We’ll want to Know everything there is to know about our Beloved Dream. God will make Time and the Force of Momentum will overflow. Through a Quickening of our Spirit, we’ll feel like there’s nothing we can’t do. The Creator’s Vibration of Love can heal our Mind, Body, and Soul.
We are given the Power to make the Choice to co-create “Heaven on Earth.” We draw energy away from the darkness when we create the Light. Energy can only be exchanged. Mother Earth was given to Love Life and Beauty all around. Loving is Seeing and Acknowledging another living thing that holds the Consciousness of Life and Love.
If you find something you hate, turn your thoughts to something you love that much. There’s always a Reason when we remember Our Life was created for a Divine Reason and the Creator will reveal the Mystery.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

My gift for the Tzolk’in round is the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in round. The “Field Guide” is available to download from a link on the 13-day Trecena Guide Page.
3 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi) – Day 3 of 13 in the Serpent CHICCHAN’s cycle of “light.”
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.

By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you. Mayan descriptions are those written by Ian Lungold. Cherokee descriptions came from multiple sources.
