3 Deer / MANIK
Greetings Beloved Kin,
We are called into Service by the Quickening of Spirit. Deer/MANIK calls us to be a leader of Faith. MANIK represents the Destiny of the Mayan priest who leads the whole. We are gifted with a Power of Attraction when we lead by example. A Transformation carried out by the Holy Spirit sets the Highest Standard of Unconditional Love.
Deer/MANIK is the sentinel that watches over the herd. The Circle on the glyph illustrates the Vigilant Eye of the Deer. Deer’s eyes are equipped with landscape vision to see all around. So can their ears move independently, making them capable of determining the exact location of Sound and Movement to see what’s coming from far away.
The glyph shows the Hand grasping a thread of plasma that completes a circuit forged to a Source of Divine Power. We are moved to become the Shepherd of the Creator’s flock on Earth as it is in Heaven. The Deer is a symbol of stability, with a leg to plant in each of the 4 directions.
The Mayan priest holds the medicine bundle, all the Spiritual Tools that have been passed down by generations. It’s our turn to take up the staff to follow the One that came before and become the One who follows, after.
The Holy Spirit that guides us shares the Power of Harmonic Resonance. Transformed by the Hand Above, we walk in integrity as a living example of what the Holy Spirit can do. We’ve seen how influential a bad example can be. Our Highest example offers Life, Love and Happiness. The worst examples only lead us deeper by the day into the 7 deadly sins, until we’re forged to a stronghold of evil. We’re trapped by our own pride and shame to prove we are right when in Truth our life is out of our control.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
The Holy Spirit is the Driving Force that can break the ties that bind us. There is no Higher Power than Unconditional Love. We are called to hold Faith on behalf of the Whole in Integrity with the Highest Truth Above. We’re all worth saving. We all had to learn the hard way. We’re no better or worse by Human Nature. We are equipped by the Holy Spirit and the Power of the Word. When we find our way to Holy Ground, someone is bound to follow.
Through our prayers for the whole we create the potential for Divine Trinity. When someone prays for us, we’re inclined to listen. When they share a Light of Hope for our future, we are likely to stand in agreement in the Amen.
We don’t attract anyone by casting judgement. In fact, when we don’t express faith in one another, we are offering evil a helpful hand. By Human Nature that’s when our ego will rush to defend our self to justify what we have done. There is no shame or blame in the Service of Love. The Sacred Exchange has to be a free choice, not one we think we’re forced to make by our doubts and fears for tomorrow.
MANIK reminds us stand silently in the Truth. The Truth will speak for itself when it’s Time to Know. We don’t defend Truth that’s Common Sense. If someone “can’t understand” they aren’t ready to see the Truth. Our words will only carry on the “war” of misunderstanding. The Truth will be revealed by the One who spoke the Truth of our Beginning and the End.
We don’t have to engage in the endless debate over politics and religion. We gain Higher Ground admitting, “No one really knows the whole Truth. I’d rather know more about you.” The Common Truth of injustice we all feel is that no one listened. War is our “loudest voice.” Evil sets us on course to get even and we forget the reason why we refused to play by the rules of Love.
MANIK encourages a dedicated daily path to the alter to Remember what’s so easy to forget. When we humble our self to the Creator, the Light of Higher Wisdom can break through. We are called to Remember on behalf of the whole what beauty can be created by Love. There is no beauty in war, only an endless journey of darkness without hope for a future. That’s when we settle for the least we can be. “You only live once. Might as well take what we can get, here and now while there are no rules.”
When we turn our life over to the Holy Spirit, Gods face will be shining upon us and He will lift up his countenance upon us. Others will see Love in our eyes and our Faith in the future by our Countenance of Peace. God’s Countenance also refers to the “flames above the heads” of the disciples at the Pentecost.
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
When we are consecrated by the Holy Spirit, we speak the Words of God with the Authority of the Lord of Creation. Our words won’t come back empty when we offer blessings to one another. We can end every conversation of gossip and lies about something else that we don’t know, as the One who wants to know more about each other. All we really know is the Truth of our own experience. We can turn every conversation to resolving any differences between “you and me.” If we can be at peace with one another, we can still be different, but on the same side of the Truth that really matters. MANIK is a power to push off negativity. We can use it to our advantage, when we don’t let it get us down
When our Faith and Positivity is relentless, we can Serve as a Hand of God. We’ll be the one someone may be attracted to when they need to hear a kind word, or when they’re in trouble and need a prayer.
Remember that hate is a coverup for fear. Humans cover up their emotions of vulnerability. When it seems like we’re not making a difference, it’s a lie by the Law of Cause and Effect. Time will tell the Truth. We don’t have to preach on an on. When the Holy Spirit is using our Words, God’s Truth will be heard. God controls the Truth that’s Seen and Heard, no matter what we say when we stand on the Truth that everything will be okay in the end.
Our Spiritual Tools are found in God’s Word, in promises that are guaranteed. Reading the Word has a Divine Effect as the Living Truth that holds the Highest Influence within. We can use the Internet for it’s Highest Purpose. It only takes a remembered phrase to find the Chapter and Verse online. There are few scriptures I remember Chapter and Verse, Psalms 23, and now:
Numbers 6:24-26
24 “The Lord Bless you and Keep You.”
25 “The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you.”
26 “The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
We can call on the Holy Spirit to speak the Words over our Self and One Another. December is a month for blessings. We can dedicate a path walking in the sandals of Peace. We can decide from the beginning that every exchange will end with a blessing. The Light shines through our authenticity. It only takes the first line when we Feel the rest. No one can take offense to “God be with you this Christmas, He’ll take care of the rest.” The Staff of the priest is the Creator’s one answer to everything, a Divine Provision for every Human limitation.
The Holy Spirit will share the strength to carry on. The Higher we climb the more we’ll feel the Wind at our Back. We Know God will always answer a prayer, when we Ask for Help to be of Divine Service. We manifest the Creation when we claim by Gratitude that it’s the Truth, and the Way God Intends for us to be.
It makes a difference when we’re in the chaos of the unknown and, instead of going along with despair, we say, “Everything will be okay.” It’s easier to believe when someone else holds Faith. We’ve been raised to be the warriors of Faith, standing on the Truth in every moment no matter how things look and feel in the world.
Psalm 23 – KJV
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
An evil cause never leads to a divine end. If we mind our own path with vigilant consciousness, we’ll leave a trail for someone else to follow. When we open a door, the one we let in may open it for the next one who comes along. We are all changed by the smallest expressions of Love when someone sees us and acknowledges that we belong to the Human race.
A warrior has the courage to Offer the Service of Love.
The Mayan priest is dedicated to every watch. Our Spiritual Tool can be a scripture we remember. Dedication builds the strength of consistency and changes the course of our unconscious thoughts. In 3 days of remembering, we’ll create Momentum. By a Hand Above, we’ll be transformed when standing on the Truth of Love becomes our new familiar way. The Christ Spirit is the Truth and the Way.
love, in lak’ech, i am another you

GRATITUDE: THE MAGIC OF CREATION, THE TRUTH WE CLAIM IS OUR REALITY.
I’m grateful for every Day we carry on. No matter how it feels, everything shall be okay, better than we can imagine. When we’re weary, we can imagine how we must be putting up a good fight in the realm of Spirit, and God has done the rest.
THE TRECENA OF SERPENT/CHICCHAN: AWAKENING THE GIFTS OF SPIRIT
My gift for the Tzolk’in round is the “Tzolk’in Field Guide: A Daily Practice for Personal Discernment.” Volume 1 covers the first two seasons of the Tzolk’in round. The “Field Guide” is available to download from a link on the 13-day Trecena Guide Page.
Tracking your thoughts during one 13-day trecena, you will see the synchronicity of Time, and an ascension as the answer to a prayer you hold as an Intention of thought from the beginning.
The Serpent/CHICCHAN trecena is part of Season 2, found in Volume 1.
NOTE: If you see repeating numbers, SacredScribes is a resource to check the meaning of Angel Numbers.
3 Deer/MANIK (Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi) – Day 3 of 13 in the 1 Serpent CHICCHAN‘s cycle of “Light.”
Descriptions by Ian Xel Lungold (12 Sun/AHAU), wisdom preserved on MayanMajix.com
Galactic Tone 3: Action. Three is basic movement and communication, which begins as a vibration. Three energy is very eloquent in all types of self-expression. Communication is how Three establishes a point of agreement between any point “A” and any point “B”. Three persons are rhythmic to the core and are often restless, as motion is their nature. By working closely with the energy of Three, any person becomes more able to predict motions of all kinds.
Deer/MANIK (Hand): Deer are spirit tools. Silence itself is a spiritual experience for Deer. For Deer life is a pilgrimage. Deer are dominant persons who defend the people and will make sacrifices for others. The spirit of Deer upholds the pillars of the four directions. With the power inherent in the number four, Deer pushes away bad influences or negative energies. Skill and quality of work are very important to Deer. They are presented with tools for every task in life and it is with these that they are able to rise above limitations. Deer has a habit of keeping every tool it has ever used. This leads to clutter and indecision, loss and procrastination. When confronted with promises not kept, Deer becomes stubborn, manipulative and evasive.
A GOOD DAY TO: Be of Service to Others.
Cherokee, Deer/Ahwu’sdi: Symbolized by Constellation Galagina, the Stag, known as Taurus, the Bull. It does not include the Pleiades and Hyades clusters which in Cherokee are viewed as separate. To feed, gatherers of food and supplies, they enjoy rituals, ceremonials, feasts, the souls of hospitality, sociability. Freedom versus security issues often inspire leadership and unique solutions. Combined with artistic and inspiring energies in harmony with lunar cycles, they nourish the clans. Totem-Deer: A priest or shaman, a powerful person in general, to overwhelm an individual with one’s personal power, divination; inclined to become a teacher, healer, guru, civic leader, or politician. Ability to create harmonic resonance.
[Text in italics was the primary source of inspiration for my journal. These are the sources that started my journey and they are the reference for interpretation each day. By providing the original text, I hope to offer a way to see what inspired my thoughts and by including all the aspects – allow for something more to inspire you.
