THE TRECENA OF SUN/AHAU: APPLYING THE LIGHT TO LIFE
MAYAN CALENDAR DAYKEEPER’S JOURNAL
Greetings Kin,
Peak Tone 8 begins the Transformation phase of the trecena. Marked as a Holy Day, the Number 8 is defined as “pure spirit.” The Intention is Divine Justice, a Gift of Harmony and Equity with the Whole. The 8th hour begins at the end of the Sun’s zenith Light.
Our Highest Truth is the Promise that Life will be Fair. On Tone 8 we are raised to believe the Truth.
Deer/MANIK leads the Divine Path of our Mission and Purpose. The sign of the Mayan priest employs its faculty of Vigilant Consciousness to grasp the Truth of a Divine Power Above. The glyph illustrates the Hand, another name for MANIK, that reaches to grasp a thread of Divine Truth that will complete the circuit to a Divine Source of Power.
MANIK is a symbol of stability, with a leg to stand in each of the 4 directions. The Deer applies the Light to look for the Peace where Faith can stand. There is a place for us that is defended by a Higher One, like the Mayan priest prepares our Holy Ground. MANIK holds the Gift of Harmonic Resonance. When one walks a path of Beauty, others are inclined to follow.
HOLY DAY: INITIATION OF THE MAYAN PRIEST
8 Deer/MANIK marks the Holy Day of a Divine Initiation. We were born as the Scion to reflect the Creator’s Love and a Vision of Beauty. Our Divine Mission is to raise the Truth on Earth. The Deer’s Gift is the Vigilant Eye to see the Truth. Deer/MANIK believes on behalf of the Whole, counting the days that share the Light of Truth. On 8 Deer/MANIK the Maya celebrate the ones that dedicate themselves to the purpose. Our path is consecrated as the Divine Way to complete the end. To fulfill the mission, we only have to train our eyes on the Beauty of moving back and forth, to our Place in the Light.
